    I just got my Giant Loop Coyote bags delivered and I love them! I really can't believe how much stuff you can stuff inside. They look a lot bigger in person.. Now I need to buy the possible pouches 😁😁Thank you for the great review and the recommendation!

    Excellent video…..
    This has enabled me to make a more informed decision on which bag to purchase. (Great Basin).

    Ben, have you ever thought about getting lasik surgery on your eyes? Then you won't have to carry contacts and contact solution. I had my left eye done and ended up with 20/15 vision. I left my right eye at 20/30 and I use that side for reading. I still get binocular vision when I use both of them. It really did not cost much, but my eyes were not too bad to begin with.

      Yeah I've had two friends who had it successfully done but after listening to them describe their experiences I'm not so sure I want to do it. It would be a lot more convenient, though.

    Great Basin vs Coyote. I have a CRF300 Rally and my pack out would be very similar to what you had total, but I like to carry my tent outside a bag after it gets damp. I don’t know the disadvantages from one to the other. Similar weight and price. I would have to carry another bag with the Coyote. I see the mounting systems are different: which is easier? From the instructions it looks like they are intended to sit differently on the bike. Can you give me your opinion on which would be better for me?

      Hello, the Coyote and GB are very much similar in this sense. The positioning on the bike depends in fact from which bike you decide to fit those on. Ben has fitted the CRF300 with all our saddlebags, so If you want specific info, I suggest reaching out to him directly. We do have best practice videos for installation of our products on our channel, so that could help too.
      Both products work perfectly with our dry bags, specifically with the Rogue and Tillamook, which can be attached independently on the bike but also at the back of Coyote and GB.
      If your intention is to go for a smaller trips most of the times, we recommend getting the Coyote and then a rogue to be strapped at the back. Additionally you could outfit the Coyote with 2 extra Possible pouches, or equip the bike with Pocket Pannier to re-distribute some of the weight to the front.
      Please reach out to our Customer Service for any tips and options on how you can best outfit your motorcycle with our products. --> ride (at) giantloopmoto (dot) come

      @@GiantLoopMoto thanks! After watching more GL and Dork videos, and the GL installation pdf’s, I ordered a Coyote. If I’m not happy with it, hoping I could return it. I’m impressed with the design, ruggedness, and simplicity of the other GL items I own, so I bet I’ll feel the same way about the Coyote.

    Trying to test pack for my first Bdr. I figured tent would go in on top since it’s the first thing I’m going to want to set up when I get to camp? Thoughts?

    • @GiantLoopMoto
      @GiantLoopMoto  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We always recommend keeping the heavier stuff toward the bottom of the bag, so lighter, more bulky items like your tent make sense to put on top. Quick accessibility is just a bonus!

    How wide is the coyote vs great basin fully loaded on the bike?..cant decide witch one to get😂😂

    • @GiantLoopMoto
      @GiantLoopMoto  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      All measures are available on our website. In terms of width, they are quite similar. The biggest different is on the top part which is significantly bigger on the Great Basin.

    Can you access the items in the side legs from the bottom (lick a backpacks bottom zipper)?? Or is it necessary to flip the whole bag to get your sleeping bag?

    • @GiantLoopMoto
      @GiantLoopMoto  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There's only the top opening, but there's no need to flip the bag. It's super easy to reach down and grab whatever you need, and if you use the 3 included dry pods to pack your gear you can just pull out the top dry pod, grab the pod out of one or both legs, and then put the top pod back. Takes less than a minute.

    can this thing be used with a kickstart bike? :P XT 350 or does it get in the way?

    • @GiantLoopMoto
      @GiantLoopMoto  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, You can use it with a kickstart bike. You can strap the saddlebag a little bit further back to allow wider movements with your foot.

    I also do the bag right, tent left method. I find the heavy stuff I wanna get at like tool kit works really well middle bottom against the fender.
    I just installed the rack and still trying to see if it’s the right fit for me. I like that it keeps the Coyote really secure and from sliding. On the flip side I worry a little that a crash/slide might damage the bike more than if it were just the hook system. Hooks are also a little faster to get on and off.
    I’m going to see if the rack causes any issues when riding single track tomorrow without a bag mounted.
    What made you choose rack over hooks?

    • @GiantLoopMoto
      @GiantLoopMoto  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I like the rack for the versatility. I can use it with my saddlebags, a tail bag, an Armadillo fuel bag, a cooler, etc... but it's low profile and fits within the width of the bike so I'm not hooking my leg on it when I'm trail riding. I like it a lot more than the bulkier racks I've used in the past.

    • @chain.driven
      @chain.driven 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GiantLoopMoto yea the versatility attracted me as well, I just have to try some other configurations now. Did you mount yours sideways or horizontal on smaller bikes? I tried it sideways on my 500 EXC and rode some single track yesterday which included more than a few crashes, the rack held up great and best of all it didn't interfere with my riding.

    • @GiantLoopMoto
      @GiantLoopMoto  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@chain.driven I like it in line with the bike just because it's a little more out of the way but it also works great sideways and gives an even more stable mounting platform for our saddlebags that way.

      Here's a vid of a Coyote on a 500x. Works great! We prefer the Great Basin for the extra space, though.

    Are you planning on using friends tools, tire irons, tubes, patch kit in case of puncture? I noticed those ESSENTIALS were NOT included... I would let you use my tools and such, but you'd best part with some of that Blantons, Riverset Rye, High West or Knob Creek, and Elijah Craig and whatever other bourbons you have... Just sayin'... lol 🤣🤣🤣

    • @GiantLoopMoto
      @GiantLoopMoto  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well it's a camping gear video so I kind of figured I'd stick to that. I strap my tools and first aid kit to the outside of the saddlebag in Possibles Pouches.
