Mate honestly I speak for so many of us... Thank you for providing ALL your content for basically free... It amazes me your doing this because you genuinely want to help people with no return (at least from 98% of us) Big love
There's always a method to the madness. When we're broke and don't have a real functioning business, we're not his ideal customer. So he provides great content for free to help us get to the point where we're his ideal customer. I love his heart for us, but I also admire his business savvy.
As a creative.. sales is often one of the last things we think about, but your content is so easy to binge and makes the learning process FAR more enjoyable than others!
lemme try: Low Show rate - setting up personalized reminders for the prospect about the meeting and making sure they will get some value out of the meeting even if they decide not to buy. Low close rate - train the sales team into listening to and understanding the prospects issue more deeply (idk what else) Org. problems - use some sort of program or make someone else focus on the less meaningful tasks that can make other workers lose focus Edit - Yippe I got 1 right
Alex is the definition of make your free stuff better than their paid stuff. Appreciate all the free value you're putting out! Helped me a ton with understanding business
For the exercise: Low show and close rate:I would change my lead magnet People/Org structure issues: I would get personal with my employees and figure out what exactly is going on. Remind them of the purpose of our company and where we're planning on going.
I would... 1) Improve the quality of the qualifiers for leads 2) Decrease the number of available time slots for appointments 3) Improve the sales techniques, including getting below the surface 4) Work on tone quality and technique of communication
It's crazy how good this guy is. He is literally giving us so much value and is preemptively promoting his sales book (with the strategy he told us in 100 million dollar leads). Simply amazing!
As a novice, my first thoughts are. Can't wait to see where are my answers lineup with yours. 1. Create SMART goal and clear objections to define expectations and accountability moving forward. 2.Change marketing plan to target correct audience 3. Have the CEO create a standard operating procedure (SOP) with his winning strategy and best practices for closing sales. The CEO becomes a mentor to sales. Hire a high quality proven sales manager push them over the team. 4. Thoroughly document progress and track metrics. Make adjustments as needed every 30 days.
I love how you've started to have fun and enjoy(be playful) during the videos. That's a subtle but very important improvement since your first videos is showing how now you are completely swimming in your waters and you are one with it. Just amazing. And as always bringing and unpacking value from the Big Vault. :)

Alex, this is very impressive. You have given me juicy information that I so much needed as this type of process can be used for so many aspects of life, for job searching, for self organization of time and so on. I am going to create a protocol to help me collect data on the success of my day as I seem to be all over the place and this was definitely edifying as it clearly let me know I am operating off of a hope and wishful thinking process with scattered projects with no timeline or benchmarks. I have been just going all day long on building and learning and saying I will get there when I get there to the end of a project. This has been driving me crazy so thank you for this video as it let me know I am a mess and need to clean up how I run my day.
The only thing that had to do with "harassing" your reps was the close rate. Everything else had to do with systems and management. Definitely not short-term stuff (speaking as someone with a 7 figure sales team)@@SuperTripps
Business owners take notes. This is absolutely crucial advice. The company i work in has all these problems and the biggest one is... hires. They keep making the same mistake and i think this is a big issue for most business owners. Its ego, and unknown unknowns.
This is exactly what is going on in my start up dude, how is it that you publish just the thing people need? I cannot thank you enough (and yt algo as well)
This might just be the most valuable video on TH-cam. Dude! Alex, what do you take to stay so focused in your thought process?! Of course this is edited, but even the unedited parts are insanely well focused and content rich. Thank you for posting this!
Alex I used your downsell the upsell method & I’ve made $8000 in 6 months from 1 sale More than I’ve made reselling on Amazon for 3 years… and MUCH LESS work I love you
To fix the biz I would… 1. Create better screening in marketing and add incentives for showing up. 2. Fire the bad closers, and hire better salesmen. 3. Hire a better sales manager, or remove them altogether depending on the team size.
#1 Get someone to be Sales Mgr (your guy) instead of the CEO. YOUR sales training improves discovery. Sets new expectations w the team. New sales culture. Covers a lot of area in one move. #2 take FUP communication away from setters and create a new position to do that part. Fewer appointment leaks. More focused setters.
Main focus: Cleaner leads that want to show up! So increase the Show Rate. Then experiment with the amount of Cash Collected to find its elasticity to the Close Rate.
Alex this is fantastic… Congratulations brother. Please please please and did I say please create some content around this nurturing checklist. I've heard you speak about. You've already shared some great nuggets with it, but I would love to see that. Such a huge thing. Appreciate you man.
this WAS my business. we had to completely reset our expectations, our process, and the people involved. implemented better tracking, learned more about our ideal client, and re-trained the sales staff a new way.
5:47 I think there was a mistake with editing @AlexHormozi, appreciate you always simplifying everything to a level that majority of us could understand. In my eyes you've mastered the art of simplifying like that of Jim Rohn and applied it to todays day and age
I think to fix the business, I would put 80% of the focus on the person/avatar. Having the media buyer target the avatar to tee. Training the sales teams on the avatar. Putting processes in place to train the company on exactly who they were selling to and what their needs, wants, and desires are.
thank you so much for this, this solved my problem , Im in a tech start up and worked my way up from a setter all the way to a setter manager and building an online setter team, tracking all the data, updating the company with good tech and people that produces a good return and a ton more! your helping me improve this system and company so well, that lead nurture specialist checklist is gold! i wish i had it all lol. thanks again Alex !!!1 😀
For these problems I would go back ti the basic sales process of going through finding out about the customer before selling to meet their wants and needs and make sure I’m keeping track of progress through the steps.
It sounds to me like you can solve the first two problems by some new training with the sales team. Focus on the customer not the product, listen more than speak, focus on the right demographic for our product. The third problem, I would solve by hiring/promoting a new sales manager and make the CEO be a CEO.
Would be cool if he did this sort of doubling on a TH-cam channel business, and one or both sides made a series about it. The more detail you see in the improvement process, the more you learn. And the more engaging it is.

I'll have a crack at it ;-) Low Show rate - better qualification up front, then booking thru something like Chili Piper Low close rate - define process for sales funnel and its stages; ongoing qualification thru funnel; better defining what closing is and then training around it, unless it's transactional Org. problems - start with CEO and work down; look at strengths/weaknesses (also something like Big5 or other) and where ppl actually want to be; listen to ppl, especially those actually interacting with customers
Hey Alex, big fan! I have a question that I think a bunch of others would want to ask as well. A key part of your business is through creating/reusing and implementing frameworks and processes in business. Do you have any frameworks and/or processes that you place in your personal life that you have used to get to this stage ?
Hi Alex. Congrats. Thanks. I’ve seen you teach us many of these principles before, however, it’s good to see them again. Measurement is so, so, SO important.
