There is also a fellow Sawyer that has a harbor freight winch mounted on a pair of eight wheel trolley's that run in a super strut that is mounted to the roof joist, centered on the log bunks, he's happy with it.
I am right on the same track ... haven't built but milling for the build of the shed. Bumped my mill bed as well trying to roll a 20" log on my 122 mill. (will correct tomorrow!) ..., used the strap method and it did well but the hook might be handy as you said. Will continue to follow your progress and thank you for sharing experience.
The hook was made for me by another TH-camr, 6.8Liter74, www.youtube.com/@6.8liter74. You can reach him at bterry35@hotmail.com. His name is Brian and I think he would be open to making you one.
Good to see both methods in use. Nice of 6.8liter to make the hook and send it to you.
Thanks for the video
Yes, it was much appreciated and turned out to be very helpful. Thanks for watching!
It's nice to see an idea actually work! Thanks for the shout out.
No problem 👍thanks for the hook. I think we will be seeing a lot of it in future videos.
In the long run, the winch with a hooh is ideal, as it sure beats getting on and off of the tractor, but for now that hook sure seems to work nice!!
I agree. Thanks for commenting and watching.

I have seen that. Definitely something to consider

Awesome. Keep us updated on your shed progress. Thanks for watching and commenting. Happy milling!
You did good, congrats!
Thanks!
Both methods look better than hefting it by hand but the hook does look like it'll be better in the long term. Thanks for the demo
Thanks for watching. I think I will be getting a lot of use out of the hook.
I would like to buy the log turning hook on your video
