I love the layered vocals in Steps songs. Faye's voice has a wonderful & light theatrical quality to it, but she actually has great range too. It goes without saying that Claire's voice has so much power & charisma which drives through all of the songs. Finally Lisa's voice sits somewhere nicely in between the other two. Although she's not normally the leading vocalist, she often has my favourite moments in any Steps songs. I might be wrong but she also comes across as the person enjoying the experience the most. Of course the boys have their part to play too and I love H's vocals when he got his opportunity to take the lead. Lee is underused for sure but he also plays a vital part in the group, adding masculinity & presence. I love them & I love listening to their music, even after 25+ years.
