Uh, no Moze couldn't even come close to regenerating enough ammo. Give her 10% mag size ammo regen w/ the class mod + another 5% from the capstone gives you 15% mag size regen per second. 15% of ~60 is 9 ammo per second, which is a total deficit of 5 ammo/s. Not only that, but whenever you lose the 10% regen buff because you're not getting crits you're going to be majorly in the hole for ammo. There are way better options out there for Moze, especially with how shit the damage is on this weapon. I mean we're seeing Joltz use it on Fl4k and it still doesn't have enough damage.

I just discovered your channel due to your borderlands 3 videos. A lot of good content creators but I like coming to you cause you're straight to the point and good quality commentary.
As nice as the LINC is for firing speed, I feel that for equal level weapons (level 50) there are other Atlas blue or purple class weapons that could out-do the damage versus the Linc. The ONLY thing that the Linc has really going for it is the much bigger clip size and higher firing rate. (And even there, I saw a purple that was just 5 fire rate under the Linc with admittedly tiny clip size. For example, even a level 50 Linc with 378 and 55 clip size is only doing non-crit damage of 20,790 for the entire clip. While a AX-7 doing 789 with say... 22 mag would do just about the same damage but the crits would be probably higher due to the base damage versus the Linc. So If you're a collector, I say get it. If you're looking for a powerful atlas, go for the normal purple/blue stuff as you can find x2 or x3 on them normally. I don't even know if the Linc can spawn with a x2. (which would make it SO much better.) I've even picked up a Cost- Effective Optimized Q-system that did 1193x2 and it shreds through a lot of enemies. So it shows that you CAN find powerful Atlas weapons, just not the legendary versions as far as I know. Even the Carrier feels a bit underpowered (tho the rockets and explosions stuff is rather cool.)
I loved atlas pistols during my first play through, and it’s kind of disappointing getting the legendary version of it and it doesn’t compete with other legendaries at all. Needs a dmg, or crit dmg boost at least.

I prefer Pucks/Packs since you can put it on a crit spot so all your Smart shots crit as well, and if there's time (and they're close enough) they'll move to another enemy on death.
Darts, best way to nail criticals with an Atlas Assualt Rifle imo... I don't like the bullets going after multiple targets... Pick one, kill one, move to the next one...
@@mikrikbell I prefer the puck. I can usually put them on the crit spot. The fact that they can transfer to another enemy when their target is killed is nice too.
@@Chokah Puck is useful enuff at close to medium range... But against more nimble targets at medium to long range I've found it can miss intended target... Travel time has to be factored too, Puck is much slower than Darts... But this is on ARs and Pistols... On the Atlas Launchers (which were my go to for some time) I preferred the Grenade... I have a Legendary Atlas Launcher that has a Vortex Grenade, it was a beautiful to use... But now I'm a Hive/Digi-Clone guy...

I really don't get why all the Atlas guns other than the rocket launchers are under-powered. The Q-System assault rifle is literally the only good Atlas gun that isn't a rocket launcher and its a Purple, while the Carrier and Rebel Yell each have a quarter of the thing's base damage. Add in the lack of any elemental tech and there's no reason to use anything from Atlas but the Ruby's Wrath and the Hex grenade, maybe the Freeman.
I farmed a unique from the legendary hunt enemy blinding banshee on Desolation’s Edge called the “compressing shrieking devil” it is the worst gun I have found in the game. When you shoot it, it deals damage in a ring around you, except it also deals the damage to you.
it's not good in the original version, but it got a buff that makes it do more damage than a standard atlas pistol, so combined with that firerate, it should be much better now.
I found atlas pistols to be pretty good with the blue tree on moze, but even then the pistol i remember using had 500+ damage so maybe bad parts on the linc you got?
Hey joltz, can you please do a guide for the hawkin smg? I got it as a world drop and want to know what boss drops it. On my elemental/rush amara I can kill almost any non vault boss with one mag and mine is only lvl 46.
I wonder how well ATLAS weapons would work with Zane set to take full advantage of the skill that determines gun damage with movement speed, So far I mostly slide and jump at enemies with a jakobs shotgun
The ATLAS guns are great because of the target tag I have a rocket launcher from atlas and I can shut darts and then just rain hail with it It definitely melts all bosses
A purple burst fire Atlas pistol is more ammo efficient and should probably perform just as well. Although I'd say the 2x rifles are the most powerful.
Sucks that it has tracker grenades. The only tracking device worth useable on Atlas ARs and pistols are the darts tbh, it's basically the only way to get a decent amount of damage with crits.
Anyone know a place to farm the slide speed relic Joltz uses? I've been farming bosses for forever in the hopes of getting it as a world drop but I've had no luck.

David Miles Had the same issue. If I remember correctly, leave the area (to Sanctuary) with fast travel and return at the fast travel point at the beginning of than map. The quest item will be in the spawn area of that third anointed.

My biggest complaint with Atlas weapons is their tiny mag size. So this is pretty cool
Mine has one part that added +40 magazine size, everything else was either pure Fire Rate or had Fire Rate as a secondary effect.
My first legendary I love it and I also love atlas weapons it served me well also the boss is a Mr X reference from RE2 remake
i feel like most Atlas weapon do way more dmg than it looks like on the weapon card. Plus the cool homing bullet gimmick.

it's not good in the original version, but it got a buff that makes it do more damage than a standard atlas pistol, so combined with that firerate, it should be much better now.

Got one from Tyreen. It's basically an unmodded grenade with an Echo skin.

No, nothing guaranteed. The only upside i can give you is the snowdrift can drop as a purple and legendary, so always check purple relics too.

Atlas weapons should show you the health of your targeted enemy so you dont have to look at them at all
