When I cook fish with the skin on, I never flip it. Caught a red this summer and as a northerner, the one thing I wish I'd done was give it the Ike Jime treatment. Next time. Great video and equally nice looking meal!

Rock port hit good this week also hit a good amount of reds and everything was killing bait. Had shrimp, mullet ,and cut bait. Chum bait in the bag had them boys comin. 🔥🔥😎

What's really funny is when I first moved to Tampa Florida (back in 1994) and my parents and I went fishing together for the first time near the Gandy Bridge and I had never fished saltwater before, but I knew that most saltwater fish liked fast action lures, so I put a small Rapala topwater spook with a tail prop on my line with two bullet weights (Idk why, I was just trying anything to catch fish because we weren't catching jack shit) and I caught the biggest damn lady fish that I've ever seen. I had no clue what it was, but it was over 2 feet long and it was thicc...I took a picture of it and asked the guy at the bait shop and he said that's the biggest damn lady fish I've ever seen! At least I avoided the skunk...

Anything like a 10ft rod, 6000 size reel. 50 or 65lb braid and like a 60lb leaders works for both jetty and surf
