I used 77 for the first time and thought it was great! What I like is the nozzle never clogged once over weeks of use. It's also has a very controlled spray. Stuff sticks man! USE IT...USE IT NOW!

I agree, Unlike other adhesive products and worst of them all are Rustoleum paint products which clog almost after first use.

Which one would I use as extra adhesive for peel and stick flooring?

  • @MrTheHillfolk

I'll guess that 90 is the "best" for my application.
And that application would be gluing 1/2" (13mm) thick sound attenuation foam to an existing butyl sound deadening sheet with a foil cover on a car interior.
The foam has open cell on one side and closed on the other.
One note is when I see the sound attenuation foam used in a standby generator housing they usually put the adhesive on the closed side of the foam.
    Did I guess right?

I need to glue memory foam together. Is the #74 the right adhesive for this material? And will it still be soft after drying? I don't want to feel a hard seem where I glued it together. Thanks.

Hi Jeffrey - Thanks for your question. The Super 77 gives off outgassing as the VOCs flash off. Once the VOCs have flashed off, it will just be a solid after the drying process but will still have an odor to it. As an alternative, we would suggest the Super 77 Low VOC, as it will have less odor and outgassing on application. It will still have the same adhesive properties as the standard Super 77.

You can use the 3M™ Super 77™ Adhesive on your iPad case since it is a versatile adhesive that bonds a wide range of lightweight materials and offers a fast, aggressive tack for a quick bond that reduces set time.
We also recommend you go through our Safety data sheet to avoid any misuse through: s.3m.com/c3zmz7

I have a gel/resin type sticker lifting on a corner on my motorcycle, was thinking of using primer 94 to re-stick the corner but am concerned about possible removal issues in years to come, do you have a product to remove primer 94 from vehicle paint?

Use the classic #M Weatherstrip Adhesive from your local auto shop! It's been called "gorilla snot" (after the yellow version) since it came out decades ago and dirt bikers discovered it. It's also available in black. I'm a sealant geek and the 3M yellow headliner adhesive works too but do yourself a favor and use the tube instead. Glue the gasket to the cover but not to the engine so you don't have to fight to clean it off the next time (even if you don't plan on there being a next time). Every old mechanic knows about it. Gasgacinch is similar and brushes on. Lay your gasket on clean cardboard, coat evenly then stick to the valve cover. Wear disposable gloves! With the cover upside down (in a secure position) I poke the cover bolts through from the gasket side to keep it centered on the bolt holes.

Which would be recommended to use on a surface which will get wet but can also be removed if required?

    • @3MCanada
      @3MCanada  ปีที่แล้ว

Hi ! We would recommend the Hi Strength 90 Spray Adhesive. While we don’t offer a waterproof spray adhesive, it will hold up if it’s submerged in water for 15-30 minutes. The downside is that since it is a permanent adhesive it will be difficult to remove. We don’t offer an adhesive with these properties that is also easy to remove, unfortunately.

It's incredibly that 3M has lowered the quality of the super 77 adhesive. Y used the super 77 in 2015 with the old presentation can and the bond was very strong fast and reliable. Now it isn't worth buying since it does not even cure and it's bond's like chewing gum and crates a black sticky surface like asphalt. I am really disappointed of 3M super77 and don't recommend buying!

What I want is more proper physics words
Like "Aggressive bond" often implies a brittle bond
Eg cyanoacrylate. So sudden failure under pressure?
    Inflexible? No plastic,-deformation.
When you whip out the foam who should pay attention?
How good is it with sound?
How good is it insulating heat what sort of foam is this
    Our is it "just bog"
