A tidbit of History. This concert in Hawaii by Elvis Presley was the first satellite live performance that was view throughout the world with over 1 Billion viewers
*I don't care what people tell/say to me, he still had it go'n on in the 70's. He still looked good. I don't care, when I say, I love Elvis Aron Presley, I mean it. I've loved him since I was 3 yrs old. I am now 28 yrs old. Still loving him today.*
That was one of Elvis's great live songs and he has alot more cuz he is the king and always will be believe that thanks for the tune and keep them coming
Tomorrow Never Comes ... Absolutely another amazing recording from Elvis. Talk about hitting notes and singing with passion... OR "I want you I need you" ,recorded in late 1950s. "Crawfish"..Sung in one of his first movies...King Creole. This man has unbelievable . The versatility of vocals..Unpresedend. Tenor Baratone Base He is able to sing Cagin and bluessy Country /hillbilly Powerful / soothing Soft and velvety Naughty and sexy passionate / powerful. Elvis was able to sing and switch over to so many different gendras of music. Each different gendra he sang was as if he was born into that gendra of music. Feels as if he changed hats with every song and as he did, changed personality and feeling... Elvis' fan base is so varied and different. That's why you have a polar opposite requests of different gendras of music. Love your reaction..Just like mine. God bless.
No teleprompters with the words for the songs, no computers, no vocal effects, no pitch correctors, just raw incredible total talent. And, that was the way it was for every band and every singer 'back then'. Now... hell you don't even have to be able to carry a tune in a bucket to be a 'star'.
You have just witnessed the GREATEST ENTERTAINER THE WORLD WILL EVER SEE!!!!! No auto-tune no pitch correction just PURE PERFECTION!! No one will ever come close to Elvis the power the passion the emotion. A gift to us all from GOD himself. Long live the KING.
Elvis Presley had such a powerful voice that hit your heart a soul. He had such a heavy load on his shoulders other people he knew to problems he really tried to make a big loving difference in the world. His music really lifts my spirits. I believe that's what he was born to do ding a help people be a caretaker a good Samaritan.
My grand other used to sing a song called Old Shep . It was an old song about a boy and his dog. It usually made us cry and we loved it. Then Elvis recorded it. We were amazed that he knew our grandmthers song. I still think iys amazing that he bothered to record it and didnt make it rock n roll style or anything. Its really sweet of him, dont you think?
Young people that know elvis today, only think of him as a heavy cartoonish character... this song is another example of the greatness of Elvis. This song builds througout and when he hits the notes at the end, it gives me chills.
This concert raised funds for the Kui Lee Cancer Fund in Hawaii. The ticket price was what you could pay, no set cost. Elvis bought the first ticket. I remember him throwing that jeweled belt into the audience after "American Trilogy" Two women came to a knockdown drag-out fight over it on air. This was the first live satellite concert to be with a single performer. The memories you brought back.....
He blows them all away! God given talent ! God loving man! This came through in every performance he did! Elvis was also a gift from God who could make us feel emotions we did not know we had! A true icon! No one like him anywhere!
Hey, I'm Brazilian ... Man, I really like your reactions to Elvis. Congratulations on your excellent taste and respect and affection. God bless you. Hugs from Brazil.
Good catch on the rehearsal comment. I re-watched and noticed that he doesn't have the jewel-studded belt on. The most intense part, for me, was the end when Charlie Hodge helps put his cape on before he closes with "Can't Help Falling In Love" AND THEN HE THROWS THE CAPE INTO THE CROWD!!! Also, how many people can REALLY pull off a FREAKIN' CAPE? I can count three,,,Superman, Dracula and Elvis. And only one is real...
This is a rolling song, I should, accumulating for the final dramatic flourish. It can mesmerise. Somewhat like the music of Ravelle's Bolero! It's was amazing Elvis. We watch in wonder, even if it's the 100th time. Thee expectation and excitement is like you're hearing it for the 1st time. We didn't have you long enough darlin' but so happy and grateful for your musical legacy. ❤️👌🇬🇧🤗
Elvis Presley was such a Emotional singer He cared about others a was concerate of other people s feelings especially his fans Elvis Presley lived in a world all his own
It's not music that blows your mind son, It the music Elvis makes that blows your mind. I have seen ALOT of bands, singers Concerts. And the ONLY one I have ever seen, Were all and I mean all the people, Sat in their seat is the Elvis concert, Cause only he had the magic that engulfed the entire crowd as if hypnotized to the God given power that {as 73 years } so far, Has shown. That only he commanded that total control not only his vocals but the Heart Minds And Souls of his adoring fans , And I thank God And Elvis that I was one that sat in a seat in Omaha,Ne 6/30/75 and have a vivid memory of that night and believe me you-tube, Record, Tape or C.D does not do him justice. As in person really was the way to feel that unbelievable , Undeniable volt of charisma he had the vibration to move the world. With in him--- Projected out to us.....And that son, Is what Elvis did for and to the world!! ......................... PEACE
This performance was on January 12th 1973. This was the rehearsal show, you can tell Elvis's hair looks totally different, compared to the January 14th concert. Colonel Tom Parker made the mistake never realizing the Super Bowl was happening on January 14th 1973 at the same moment the concert was airing live. Over 1.6 billion people watch this concert live, except for 🇺🇸. Elvis was the very first person to ever perform via satellite. He reached his Pinnacle moment of his life during the concert. He could never go higher then this.
I love Elvis Presley, wow he's just unmatched. Usually a person's career and achievements ends with their life and their works are usually history. But Elvis' music is still living today. Here I am 16 yrs old and I'm a crazy fan of Elvis. I listen to other artists but none of them even come close to Elvis Presley. He is just wonderful. I'm happy that he was born in a time where television and recording technology was available, otherwise I couldn't be listening to this. His voice is unmatched. I'm amazed at how he sings high notes, especially in 'What now my love'. I know about his drug abuse and depression in life. I am a Christian and can someone tell me about his relationship with God during the end of his life? I'm just really curious.
I was fortunate enough to see Elvis in Concert when I was 12 years old. Never forget it! My Mom went to her bedroom and cried when he passed away. Never ever be another like Elvis..
Thank you for your honest reactions of Elvis if you can at some point, watch a video of him singing how great thou art, if you haven't already done so in the past, I've been a lifelong fan of his since I was 12 yrs old, and when I get down and depressed I listen to his music and I always feel better afterwards, especially his gospel songs, thank you again for doing such an outstanding work on your channel.
Reminds me of "What now my love by Elvis" And he all ways gets it up there" As the king does many song with Heart-Passion-Desire,Grit,Style,Commitment,Rhythm, And Soul for the ones he loves his fans! You can play it fair if you want but we the fans know, you know
I saw him in concert 1973 in Hawaii n I m glad I was there n my friend got us tickets n near front. He thru his cape into the audience as it was too long n could not perform with it so he didn't have another one n I was told the capes are 20 pounds. Some gospel songs of his I like are "one pair of hands, help me,take my hand precious Lord" I think you have done Suspicious Minds, Patch It Up, Polk Salad Annie, n American Trilogy"
That was his rehearsal recorded day before live. They recorded in case there might be an unforeseen issue the next day of the scheduled live concert. If you look into what happened the day of the live show it was a miracle it took place. Someone sabotaged the lighting and sound issues. An hour before the live concert they had to being in panels behind the stage curtains. It truly was a miracle they pulled it off. I've read in several places that there was actually 3 concerts that weekend but I could only find 2 on youtube. The 1st recorded concert his hair was long and didn't like it and had it cut before the live concert and he didn't wear his necklace and was also in a tighter suit with different placed stars on his suit. He had 2 made and actually had 3 capes made. One so heavy he couldn't stand with it on. They made him a smaller/ shorter one hours before the live show. The one he threw on the audience. It's amazing and interesting what you can learn about that live concert weekend.
The beat was a constant, but on the other hand so is most rappers. Performers that need auto tune. This is when a song had to have the voice. I saw Elvis in person. Most handsome, talented, sexy man I have ever seen
HAHA you got an electrified scalp didn't you? I did too. And it went down my legs!! Every time without fail that part of the song zaps me big time!! I swear my hair grows an inch each time!! LOL!!! Wonderful!! It lulls you into a false sense of security and then bam!! He gets you with that higher octave ending!! Sooooo amazing!! mmmmmmm who else even does that??
Ty (aka, MRM)... man I love watching your reactions to Elvis when he increases his volume and tone! Elvis really was an incredible singer/entertainer and had an incredible voice! Gosh I wish he had lived longer! I can still remember the day my mom woke me up to tell me he was gone! :( I never thought it was possible to be a straight guy and love a guy like I do him! Just the fact that you admit to liking and loving Elvis’ music and/or Elvis himself makes me appreciate you and your love of music! I sincerely wish that we lived in the same city so we could meet and chat over a cup of coffee or a bottle of beer!
Elvis always sang with such emotion that every single song took a lot out of him. At the end of the concert, many times he had to be helped back to the dressing room after leaving the stage. He was such a gifted entertainer and not hard to look at while listening to.

What a tremendous voice. He could be an opera singer. He's the best ever, tops anyone.
And what’s amazing is this was all before the days of cordless mics and the ear monitor, and he still sounds that damn good.
I was 9 years old when I first heard this ELvis song in 1973 , I LOVE ELVIS .......
Elvis is the only singer, just the power of his voice brings me to tears😥💏💏💏💏💏💏
1,5 billion of people have seen this concert! In 1973 it s incredible!
No one will ever make the impact that Elvis made. 42 years after his death he still makes new fans.

Elvis could always belt out any song. That’s one of the reasons why he’s called The King!
Elvis did, “KILL IT”!!! Elvis’s performances were so powerful-charged with emotion that even his own enounterage wasn’t immune to it.

Elvis was never a cartoon character, simply, he changed popular music.
Another thing look how far away he is holding that mike, and still so much power!
This is one of my favorite Elvis songs of all time.😊.
Man, I got chills when he started belting it out.
POWER....PURE, UNADULTERATED POWER. A voice that every human MUST experience!
Nice to see younger people love him.

Wow, thank you!
That's the best version of that song I've ever heard. What a powerful performance.
The golden voice, and the creator of the music 🎤🤴🏼🌟 🤙🏽

@@gaitachi3256 You are right!
I could listen to Elvis all day every day!
Me too! When l got my S10 plus 512GB phone , the first singer l wanted to put on it was Elvis. Hopefully l will put all 429 of his songs on it.
The beat was a constant, but on the other hand so is most rappers. Performers that need auto tune. This is when a song had to have the voice. I saw Elvis in person. Most handsome, talented, sexy man I have ever seen
I love this song so much and I miss Elvis Presley so very much
Its a great song that builds and really shows the range in Elvis’s voice. And awesome performance as usual from EP. 🎶
Elvis How great thou art live 19/06/77... Yes it's near the end of his life, clearly not feeling well, but man does he nail that song...
I believe this is how Elvis felt so heartbroken.
I sincerely wish that we lived in the same city so we could meet and chat over a cup of coffee or a bottle of beer!
elvis shows so much emotion when he performs
That's the difference between a shit singer and an artist... he put all his heart and soul into a song
Ty that's why he's the king
Elvis always sang with such emotion that every single song took a lot out of him. At the end of the concert, many times he had to be helped back to the dressing room after leaving the stage. He was such a gifted entertainer and not hard to look at while listening to.
The ending is just so powerful.
...and how many of us have felt just like the words to the song. Love hurts..
