- This is my RMC take on the defunct Son of Beast from Kings Island. I’ve been working on this since September, but shout out to @Coaster Obsessed, his content motivated me to finish this one!
It’s over six feet tall and made from about 12 Screamin’ Serpent sets. The lift hill is powered by a Black+Decker Drill, and the station gates are automated via Lego EV3. I’m happy to answer any questions in the comments!
Go watch Coaster Obsessed’s Falcon’s flight video!

Nice to see another coaster from you! Always love when builders take the extra steps to automate their model coasters!
Thank you! Hey, this means a lot coming from you, the master of automation - I still watch that Star Wars coaster all the time. You’re the biggest inspiration on this platform to me😎
This layout is awesome. It feels so much like son of beast with the vertical loop and rose bowl but genuinely looks awesome instead of boring, with awesome profiling on the rolls
Glad to hear! Yup, gotta pay homage to those couple cool sections from son of beast - but everything else needed some reworking:)
I love how relentless it is, many knex coasters I see have a pause every time they reach the climax of an element. But this one just speeds through its Layout. Keep up the fantastic work!
THANK YOU! I had to reprofile a lot of elements to get that to happen, so im so happy you pointed it out:)!
You released a video for it!!!! Let’s go!!!! Love this coaster! Edit: Thank you for linking mine at the end!!!!! Means a lot!
anytime! thanks for letting me help with your project:)
Dude, awesome build, great editing, and bonus points for somebody straight up flying off the ride at 0:33!
thank you! and nice, you’re the first person that noticed!
Your back glad to see your roller coaster again. Cool build 😃
Thanks craig! hyperion is looking cool too!
I’m so happy ur posting again!!!!🎉 your builds are so inspiring
happy to inspire! other builders on this platform keep me motivated just as much, so keep up what you’re doing!
@@DryEyeBuilds thanks!
Awesome! That roll before the inclined loop is incredible. Also I appreciate you kept the vertical loop!
Gotta keep the loop in its iconic😎
I love how the elements of the ride draw on the best parts of son of beast, whilst still having some nice differences (like the stall)
thank you! Had to spice it up just a bit:)
Very cool layout! I love that stall where a midcourse brake run used to be, and a drill powered lift hill is a very good idea indeed!
Thank you! And yes, thank goodness for drill-powered lift hills!
@@DryEyeBuilds i am also experimenting with a drill powered lift hill and it pulls much heavier trains 😁
@@jonathanberendsen4292oh yeah the eurofighter? i gotta go check that out again!
@@DryEyeBuilds the Eurofighter still had a normal knex motor but with a gear reduction, but i am now building a coaster with a drill lift :)
yoooo its beeen a while nice to see you back
good to be back!
Great work 😍🎢
Looks awesome Dry! Can’t wait to see what you may make in the future
thanks alex! i appreciated many of the facetime calls that kept me sane during building this heh
so cool you are back! I love this wooden coaster style
Thank you! building with the wooden style is so satisfying
That coaster is sweet!!!
Thank you! So happy you saw my video, a bunch of the pieces in this coaster I bought from your ebay store a few years ago!
If I were approximately the size of a tiny plastic figure I would totally ride this
Yippeeee!!!
THE LEGEND HAS RETURNED!!!!!!!!
WOO HOOO!
Kings Island can learn from this
LETS GOOOOOO🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
WOOOOOO!

Super 👍 👍 👍 👍 ❤ c'est vraiment bon, s’est beaucoup d’heures de travaille sur se projet. 🏆🏆🏆
merci beaucoup! je travaillais depuis septembre! c’est vraiment amusant de construire!!
This guy deserves wayyy more subs than he has!
it’s a work in progress haha. hope the youtube algorithm picks this vid up!
HE'S BACK!!!!!!!
it’s good to be back!
I lowkey want to see this built in real life.
I wish it was. But, I think Banshee at kings island is a great use for the plot of land that son of beast used to be on.
Nice footage 🎢
thank you! so happy you saw this, your millenium force build blew me away!
Anyone else see the person fly out of the ride at 33 seconds?
haha i’m happy you noticed, i even did a little “HELP!” voiceover for the person
@@DryEyeBuilds Love it! makes the video even better!
this is so cool you just got a sub from me
You got to get a pov of this thing!
Keep an eye out! I’ve got a 3D printed train for it - just gotta grab a GoPro.
Put it in 0.5x speed
