Cool to see you guys in Karratha, we have lived there for 8 years then we moved to Queensland (FIFO to Karratha till 2020 - Covid). Karratha has many beautiful spots, reckon the sunrise/set at the salt lakes is absolutely stunning each and every time. Unfortunately we have downsized as I’m retired, so not much space but if you ever come to Queensland again you more than welcome to stay at our place and if you think you can park the van on the bit of grass we have than be our guest. We just love your amazing adventures 👍🏻👍🏻
So many beautiful flowers! What a legend those guys are letting you guys set up out front. Handy having your own local tour guides. What a landscape and that coastline! How good is Australia! ❤︎
Living in Karratha for 2 years and just left in May, its shame you had crappy weather. The only time we had weather like that was when Cyclone Damien came through last year. Karratha is usually sunny & hot, especially in winter. Cliff Springs is a popular camping spot..we have camped there alot of times as part of the Red Dog 4wd Club. Just one thing Cliff Spring is on Mt Welcome Station (which is part of Karratha Station) and you must get permission from the station owners to visit especially camping. Since Karratha had 2 great wet seasons, Cliff Spring water level is alot higher than that. Surprised it has dropped alot. Great video, making me miss Karratha. Hopping you visit Hearson's Cove... another a great local spot. Remember all tourist spot is not always sunny & cloudless days, we do get some cold & crappy days, its good to show the audience it's not all sunny & hot days. I was hoping you visit the south during off peak times as well.
Thanks for all the feedback Lee-Ann! We actually saw the red dog 4WD club out there when we visited! Had a chat for a while and all. 🤙🏻 we will always show it as it is good or bad. Lucky for us we will be back in Karratha in a couple of months so we have a second chance ☺️
Hey, as a Karratha local all I can say is that you have presented Karratha beautifully and the best I’ve seen on TH-cam in a very long time! Awesome footage and well done on getting out and about. Cheers guys
We have followed you from the start of your journey .Love seeing every where you guys have gone and more places you will go, giving us load of ideas. You guys are awesome dont give up
Balance in life. You are teaching your children so much. There a lot going on on this world. It very strange. You keep your smiles things will work out.
I gather with the current lockdown , your daughter is unable to come back to WA from her holiday in QLD. The way WA operate it could be weeks before they relax restrictions. Keep up the great footage and travels guys..
It is always fun to play on loose rocks like this with the 4x4. It is hot as__here ! looks like yall are having some cooler weather at times now. as always good video guys! Ooh "quit"? hell no, yall cant do that now you got too many fans and we love ya adventures! stay safe guys, i have seen ya get over some bad times in the past! you can again.
That was yet another epic ep guys! Those colours!!!! I am curious as to how you captured the epic drone footage at Python pool though, I didn’t see a drone pack?!🤔 Please don’t quit on us, we love you 😍 What do you need?🤗😉👍🦆
A spectacular part of the world, luck to see it after rain, it greens up so fast, when the spinifex flowers all the hills lose their sharpness and become so golden. The big round things are the storage tanks, looksvreally cool at night too, on a still night you can hear the roar of the flame
So those big round tanks hold Liquified Natural Gas or LNG. For other watching this You can go to the visitors centre near the gas plant for lots of info and it looks awesome at night with all the lights on from the visitors centre . They don’t do tours as only workers allowed on site . The jump up is so much fun our old car had very dented side steps from that big rock
That’s good to know, thanks for sharing! I think they used to do tours but I guess with Covid especially, everything like that stops these days. And gas would be so regimented with safety measures as well!
Another great video with some lovely spots and it really is a jump "up" isn't it? I'm a bit worried about the next episode. I hope it all turns out ok. ❤
Hi guys I have spent many a great weekend at deep reach and it’s a great swimming hole Just love the cocktail in the background It’s the morning sound track I remember Mill stream is just brilliant Love the videos as usual Karratha is great as well A real lifestyle town !
We saw a photo someone shared the other day of the deep reach pool and it was so blue and clear! I would love to hop in if it looked a little more like that with warmer weather. Karratha really is a great town!
@@BigOzExplorers yes it’s a shame it was so dirty when you were there The water usually comes from underground and is usually so blue and clear It must have had rain runoff in it Great memories Thanks
Hi Big Oz Ex’s I’m a bit later than most but thoroughly enjoying all episodes. As a Dampier / Karratha resident of over 50 years I was very impressed with this local coverage. Just for some background, I was told as a kid the bitumen section in Chichester National Park around the Python Pool area was has a bit of a dark history as it was originally bitumenised by the owners of the Wittenoom asbestos mining company to enable the trucks loaded with blue asbestos bales to climb over the hills on their way to the port of Point Samson. Cheers and keep up the good work 🍻
Hey Kevin, thats great, glad you love how we showcased the area. 🥰 Interesting about the bitumen, I'm not surprised if it went to Wittenoom, it would have been a money making program before anyone knew better.
Another great video guys a good glimpse of karratha and some of the local spots Ps not that anyone except yourselves has any say in what you do but... WHAT WOULD I DO ON SATURDAY MORNINGS HAHAHA You seem a nice normal family and I'm sure you will do what is right for you Cheers Guys
We don’t regret the triple bunk as having the extra storage space has been super handy however, on a new caravan build we would definitely get a double instead. Now Jayda is getting a bit bigger, it’s difficult for her to sit up in there and they really need a little bit more of their own space. :)
Chris curious to know the clearance you have under the Nissan and also your friend’s Toyota to traverse the jump up. Leonie & I really enjoy your experiences. Safe travels.
@@BigOzExplorers Thank youChris. Say hi to Sian. For a young couple you sure are pushing the boundaries not like far too many so hide bound in the big cities. Keep it up and safe travels and adventures.

Hi guys, there was a little pub at Millstream, is it still there?? Fond memories!
Not anymore, its now a national park.
Sorry what should have said is that Milstream has was taken over by National parks years ago and the pubs been converted into an information centre.
What a shame that it turned out that way, MONEY MONEY. Back in my day it was all free, good times were had by all!!
Gosh I wish there was a pub there, that would of been so good!!
DONT QUIT 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Now that’s how I drive.
Had to give it the berries lol
Where is your UHF antenna now? (love the videos)

Thanks for the feedback! ☺️
I done a tie Rod end at that jump up, no tools. I wound it up with 100 pound fishing trace. My bush mechanic skills got me out
Oh wow!! That would have been quite the experience! 😮 Good effort with the bush mechanics 🛠
Go the Nissan what a beast.😘
Really is hey, crawls through anything!
I live in karratha 😂
Mint spot to be!
you were so unlucky. Karratha normally has 300 + clear days per year.
most locals don't camp at Millstream. There are many better spots. Nearby
