    when they layed the mortar the smudges they made should be knocked off then acid washed look sharper then, still looks good by the way..lovely job

    How is the wall for blocking traffic sound? I wish I could do something similar... My township won't even let me put a fence out front.

    Holy shit. Over a hundred grand? You could build the same wall with the same materials in my country for a quarter of the cost.

      labor costs in america are insane. the materials probably were probably only around 10-25k (depending on where in the country you live) but each of those guys are getting paid like $16-$30/hr and then the company has to profit off that so +whatever % of their cost ontop of that etc.

      I think it was 50/50 50% cost of bricks sand cement rebar backhoe rental etc. vs. 50% labor

      I am in fact, I am headed to Italy and New Zealand but between those trips in June/July I am going to do a sobo from katadin about 2 or three weeks
