How To Use Liver Of Sulfur Chips To Oxidize/ Antique/ Patina Your Bare Metal Jewelry

In this video I'll show you my process on how I oxidized my bare metal jewelry pieces to give them a nice antique finish.
Make sure to take proper precautions while handling LOS
Equipment needed:
2 dedicated containers- one preferably with a lid
Rubber Gloves
Safety Goggles
Old toothbrush
Mild Soap

Interesting, I've never seen LOS in this form before. Everyone swears by the gel but my guess is that this is more economical than the XLGel, especially for large frequent batches?

Yea. I’ve never tried the gel but I have a feeling it loses potency over time. I could be wrong. I’ve had these chips for 15 years and the can is still full! lol

I don't understand why you would oxidize the beautiful pendants? The copper wire looked beautiful, just wasn't the same after you oxidized 🤔

I made the mistake of getting half round wire that is tarnish resistant. It’s annoying!
