OH God. Your review is soooooo insightful, and fascinating as well. As a non-english guy, I can only understand maybe 60% of content (if i wasn't turned on auto-subtitle), but I can't get enough of these episoides... keep on doing please!!
Excellent review! I was wondering if you could do a review of Sanders' "Black Unity" album on the Impulse! label. I'm not sure if you've covered that one or not.
Thanks so much for the inspiration! This really chimes with inspirations I take for my independent music, it’s so nice to see this kind of work out there.
Never knew he'd changed his first name, due to Ra or otherwise! He was amazing live, on vinyl not as impressive, amazing tone in the flesh. I do prefer him to Coltrane and Davis.
Likewise though I’ve never heard him live. He’s as daring as Coltrane, more so IMO than Davis, with a tremendous sense of mood and arguably the best melodic instincts of the three.

@@Trio_at_BASE thank you. I’ll try and speak more clearly as I go forward.
Please do Rahsaan Roland Kirk's - Prepare thyself to Deal with a miracle please!
Certainly! As luck would have it I was already planning to do that one before Christmas.

I have not, as yet. It’s definitely one I will review - when the mood hits!

You're welcome! Love to spread the word about Pharoah.
