My favorite band for sure (and for a while now). Off-the-charts in so many ways: versatility, chemistry, technique... Their live shows are legit "in the presence of greatness" moments. This may or may not be my favorite ballad from them ("Life" and "now I here" are also superb), but it's a masterpiece, imo. Mayu really shows what an _artist_ she is here, with an interpretation that just hits you right in the feels. The rest of the band nails it, too: never overplaying (which would be out of place in a vocal-focused ballad), but bringing exactly what the song needs on every instrument. Confident masters of their craft...
Hopefully this song use in upcoming Anime movie will lead to even more people to discover Nemophila. I would be so happy for them to have even greater success.
I know you have reacted to other Nemophila songs, but this is pretty unique. I still tear up before and after finding the lyrics. There is nothing this band can’t do. Side note: from us bigger (perhaps fat) Americans it still amazes me how these rather small (4’ 10” ish) for two of them have such power. God Bless them!! Even writing this I can’t believe it even though I’ve seen them live 3 times and know their physical attributes well. Beautiful women and talent is off the charts. ❤️🌸

Great reaction guys!! This is a Surprise to many. Not to me . Been following them since they pretty much got started and I know how good they are and that they can do songs like this if they want. It is a song that was written by another songwriter for Nemophila to perform and it all came together for a beautiful song that is not only on their new album but it is the campaign song for an Anime movie coming out in Japan in 2024. The whole band does great but Mayu is the stand out on this. She did amazing. She can growl and scream and even do hard songs in her great raspy cleans. Then she can come in and pull this off. Try Checking out some of their other slow songs like Game Over, Now I Here and Life. Where you get to see a softer side of them. LIFE is a beautiful song and emotional video where they sang to Tamu coming back from maternity leave. They play Life in almost every show at the end mostly. GAME OVER also off the first album has no video but awesome song. Slow with some heavy chuggy breakdown and great duel guitar solo. NOW I HERE they have a live music video of. Another great song with Hazuki and Saki doing and amazing solo section.

The other song is called *Life.* Which is better than *Odyssey.* Before there was an English subtitle video. The song brought tears to my eyes. And I don't speak Japanese. Look for the English subtitle videos. So us Nemophila fans new there was an *Odyssey* in Mayu waiting to come out. And drummer Tamu has played Jazz before. She can plays keyboards & the xylophone.
How good a jazz/fusion drummer is Tamu Murata? Well...she's made a couple videos alongside Senri Kawaguchi (in the convo for best drummer on the planet) and absolutely looked like she belonged. She's _that_ good.

The fan-made side-by-side video is great! It shows how those ladies always go the extra mile to show their love for the bands they are covering.
Any great hard rock or metal band has to have at least one good ballad to prove they don't just bang. Nemophila have put out at least three that are up on YT. All of them are gorgeous.
