    I think the developers need to put a HUGE emphasis on the new player/onboarding/learning/social experience. The devs need to figure out if they are going to continue to bend the knee to the existing players or create a meaningful tutorial/social systems in place that give more reason for a new and existing player to come back to the game than just the game itself and will actually help GROW the game not just cater to the existing community that always has something to complain about. I believe players want more community experiences such as guilds, arena guild wars (late game minted arena gear content), I brought this up in Somas twitch comments during Q&A like 5x within an hours time but it was ignored each time so I figured it is something Soma didnt want to discuss in the podcast which is VERY unfortunate and slightly concerning... Rather than just throwing them in a sewer with a rat as somas indicates is the direction of an example tutorial I believe something that would create a FUN community and HEALTHIER player interactions specifically for new players trying to learn would be some sort of live updated adventurer quests for hire bulletin board in the guild hall or community social tavern. This way a new online player could offer gold, gear, or materials to hire an experience adventurer to delve in raids with them to assist with their requested task such as questing or boss or just to learn etc. This would be more beneficial than the Knight system as all the players would be able to help one another and new players wouldn't have to think that the only resource they have to help is knights and would feel INVOLVED with the community and give the game more LIFE. I believe players want to interact with one another more than just swinging at each other and this could help create new bonds and friendships while learning the game and ultimately a MUCH better onboarding experience than what we have now or just killing a rat in a sewer for a tutorial. When I think of questing and adventuring I think of finding a party of players at an adventure guild to collect bounty and rewards, not to alt tab to a discord server and wait my turn for when a knight has time to play and teach someone.

      This is such an insanely cool idea, I second this. Breathes some life into the economy, gives experienced players something to do beyond PvP, helps new players, I’m all for it, I only fear for how unused the feature might be considering how incredibly dead the current gathering hall is.

      It would be nice. Till it wears off like ice caves when they first added it. They need to fix the bugs and problems with the game. Turn the fucking pvp down with random dungeons and trap hell. Hard mobs and hard modules with good loot. Make looting and pve worth. Introduce karma that does nothing but reward players for killing players with negative rep as long as your rep is one point closer to 0 you get a reward of .75 gold to 1 negative rep point, +1 positive rep. There is not hit based aggro like tarkov and traitor scavs it’s a simplified version where if you kill a player who has a more positive reputation than you, you get a punishment of -1 rep and that’s it. If you start a fight and kill a player that has more negative reputation than you, you get a reward of .75g to 1 point of negative rep the enemy had. So if I kill some one with -100 I get 75g and +1 as long as my reputation is -99. We should try this some time in dark and darker. I really feel like this plus religions will cement the identity’s you can peruse in the game. Cat person, Solaris good guy. Orc bad guy who uses luck to farm the dungeons. Ect.

    @1:13 - the game needs stronger incentive to continue to play - more types of progression, it needs guilds, achievements, titles, more cosmetics, etc.

    add 10 new modules for each map and give me a mostly random map made of all placed modules every time. when you already know which rooms you can be bothered going to every round seeing the same stuff in the same order it really adds to the burn out.

    Needs more things to do period, everything in the game right now is solved... a new boss isnt going to change anything as it will take maybe a week to solve that boss. They need to add new classes, new maps, new monsters, SKILLING all sorts of stuff

    Personally I think we need some new content. New weapons/armour or new classes/perks/skills are cool but preferably if they were adding new content it should be new maps and just new map variations because those give everyone something new to play with.

    I think the game, for longer term health, needs a built in and robust feedback tool. The fact that the Devs have to go to discord or a TH-cam comment section to get feedback is likely the reason such drastic changes that feel like they are tone deaf to the player base happen. They don't have a good avenue to get genuine player feedback through the game itself

    There are 3 things I'd like to see:
    1. Random gen maps, at least a test of it, maybe including some more large size rooms.
    2. A perk/skill buff for unused choices. Its a shame to have so many non-options. Did you know Fighter has like 9 skills? Probably didn't, since all but 3-4 just arent viable at all. Also give Fighter a Polearm Mastery Ironmace I beg you.
    3. Improvement to blocking/weapon hitboxes/systems. Weapons and mob attacks going straight through blocks has been a pain point for a long time, let's fix it.

    dont JUST add randomly generated dungeons. add them with fog of war. make "standard" modules we will call any module without a boss, loot horde, or some kind of key objective like the skull key room in inferno for example (sub bosses like skeleton champion do not count as bosses). Those will be coated in fog of war. You don't know how many there are, where they are what could be there etc etc. Then make static unhidden modules. wyvern spawn, goblin bosses, ruins bosses etc etc. This way when you load into a raid the second you get in game, you open the map and your module will be visible from what you have traveled in it (or the entire module). Then it will only show the key areas so you will have an idea of what direction you need to be heading towards. This will make being able to take the game slow, pve and loot much easier for new players. While also giving more veteran players a very clear objective to fight or move towards. I think this would spice the game up alot but my biggest complaint about the current state of the game is time in the raid. I think the time is a bit too short. The raids where i wanna escape in the first 5 minutes i have that option over 50% of the time lets say i get a player kill im fully looted. But the games where lets say I wanna do the ruins bosses and loot the rubysilver its only 12 minutes i have no time to do it. Lets say i wanna do the goblin gold but i have to fight people for 7-10 minutes and by the end of it they had worse loot then the bosses. Just wish some of these matches had like just 5 more minutes we don't gotta go crazy double the match time. But maybe 20 minute raids? would be a really nice qol in my opinion. while also allowing escape portals or exits to open up potentially earlier.

      I agree but with the time thing I get what you mean about ruins but also it would make going down to hell a super long raid which would have mixed opinions but like I agree.

      Strongly disagree with higher time in raid. To go into hell, you’d be waiting upwards of an hour just to get there, it already takes 30 minutes to kill a boss in Hell, I just wouldn’t play ice caves or ruins if it was an hour per match. I could see goblin caves being raised by 2-3 minutes, that would give you more than enough time to kill both bosses, get all the gold and loot the piles even if you killed players for 7 minutes, but the ruins and ice caves times are pretty much at the maximum they could ever make them go.

    I want the RPG elements upped. Some character customization would be nice. Adding a new active ability to all classes would be cool too. Id like to see some build diversity. Like, if spell reflect and perfect block were the same ability, maybe some fighters would run it instead of all of them using sprint and second wind

    We need a better 69 patch. They clearly were not prepared and it was a big mess.
    But why do we need it?
    The main problem that the game currently has is that the player base is segragated in freaking 15 different queues and people can't play with each other ([Normals 0-24, Normals 25-125, Normals 125+, HR 125-224, HR 225] X [3 different maps] = 15). What is the point in impactful gear if players are segragated with the same gear level anyway?
    High roller HAS to be the main game mode and normals should be left for new players. Currenltly only like 10% of players play HR. HR should be playing minimum 60% of player base.

    Low TTK feels fine in solo play. Low TTK feels worse in group play where someone randomly getting 1 or 2 tapped means the fight is completely over with no counterplay.

      the game was perfect before patch 69 before the health changes, the +15hp and the amount of hp everyone was building made fights last so long it was great (except the pdr meta)

    Here is my two cents:
    I am a fairly new player to the extent that I win say 2/5 PvP encounters and can consistently kill goblin cave bosses.
    I personal love this game, it is incredibly fun, it gets my heart pumping when I kill someone or if I die and i liked how when I learnt the bosses move sets and could consistently kill them it really felt like I was progressing in skill level.
    For combat my suggestion would be to slightly increase kill times however maybe no necessary as my main issue is getting shit on by magic based skills or weapons, they seem to slightly overtuned.
    For content my suggestion is to make the boss loot rooms look like more of a reward visually, possibly at rotating bosses to the goblin caves for some variety. Haven’t ventured into the other maps very much yet so can’t comment on them too much.
    This game is really cool, thank you for making it. I really enjoy playing it :)
    I’m a dad gamer who runs a business and it is my number 1 pick to play when I get some free time.

    game needs a combat overhaul and more content. Give weapons the ability to block and parry, doesnt need dashes or funky mechanics, just needs weapon viability

      @@jmafia48867 The only reason why patch 69 gear change never worked is because the game revolves solely around gear being the primary loot instead of anything else. That is the real problem. Changing gear just lowered it's value and the only progression in this game because the game has nothing else. This game needs more loot, not just upping the current loot. We need things that have high value, the treasure should have much much higher value, there should be a upgradeable hideout that needs lootable/buyable materials to upgrade it further. Exactly like the tarkov hideout system. Creating more valuable loot in the game that's both bought and sold.

    I think the game is in a good place right now. Obviously, there are issues. But I think the game is on the right path. I don't think the TTK needs to be any faster; as a rogue player, I get 1 tapped way too easily.
    I'd love to have a social space or interactive lobby. Having a training dummy I can hit to test an item or skill would be huge in understanding the mechanics.
    I'd also like to see more crafting.
    Only real complaint I have is the questing: It just feels stale at times when I am grinding for beetle wings or oil lanterns.

    I compare me working 10 hour shifts over a period of two weeks to the -15 hp change. Its not very obvious, but it takes a huge toll over time. Combat hasnt felt fun at all since rhe change and its the only thing I can point my finger to.
    I stopped playing barb and ive swapped between 7 of the 9 classes, but I couldn't find any joy in any of them besides a little bit of bonk cleric.
    I even started playing with a friend whos new to the game and its fizzling off for him. He found the same things interested that I did a few months ago when I started, but I swear the lower HP is the biggest negative difference.

    Druids need to rely on mem cap for all their various forms. There should be no reason a base Druid can just go morph crazy all while doing insane damage as bear or panther. Also please increase plate armor penalty, there should be no reason that fighters can go half plate and out run a rogue or ranger.

      it will hurt another classes who can make some PDR
      just nerf perk which decreases penalty by 30% - make it 20-15-10%
      so it will affect only PDR fighters

      A suggestion could be nerfing the perks that allows for fighter to move faster with plate armor. Giving other classes that can wear plate a chance to use it while having fighter not rely on it too hard

      The way you fix PDR is raising TTK by raising HP across the board (by a lot not just 15) and then drastically reduce the effect of armor on PDR. Basically squish the gear difference and raise TTK. Because unless they remove movespeed rolls, there will always be a way for a juiced plate enjoyer to end up at similar speed to the squishies.

    As mentioned by plenty of other people, I think randomised dungeons and fog of war would be a great addition to the game but I understand this probably takes a lot of time to develop.
    An alternative in the meantime, would just be more variants of each map and the addition of some "soft-blockers" between modules to reduce spawn rushing. For example, skeletons/mobs spawning in front of doorways; you'd be forced to clear them to get to the next module and you'd also have to consider clearing other modules so you have safer escapes in fights. Currently its way too easy to just ignore mobs and run through modules, especially for classes like Barb/Warlock who can break doors with ease.
    Another thing I'd love to see is the introduction of Guilds/religion rework - it would be awesome to work towards common goals together and perhaps have a "Guild Stash" (similar to shared bank storage in OSRS Group Ironman) where you can share items with people in your Guild.
    I think Dark and Darker has tonnes of potential - and I really hope the momentum picks up a bit once this court case is finished!

    Chivalry 2 inspired melee mechanics
    Class-specific HP/stat modifiers for equipment-stat-increases to balance out one-trick glass cannon/iron maiden builds

    I don't like how the meta has evolved... Now player have the game pretty figured out, and the meta is to apply ranged pressure before a fight. People just don't go in anymore. They kite like it's a zombie game. I liked this game during the play tests for the melee centric gameplay. I do not enjoy having to run arround the same damn pillar, or perpetually re-opening the same door for minutes on end... There is too many insentive of playing at a distance as solos : You put yourself in less dangers, you can more easely flee if the situation gets bad. You have higher chances of survival. But I do not like the kind of gameplay promoted by the game mechanics...
    Plus it also somewhat kills diversity... I don't see any wizards or clerics anymore, and you can be damn sure the rogues and fighters will always carry a range option while the barbarian will go zooming...

    I think the game needs a system to put similair levels of players in eachothers dungeons, me and my friends straight up gave up on trying to play this game after dieing to not 1 or 2 but 8 level 200+ players (We literally had just started could barely kill skeletons) And being killed by random players who have no-lifed the game forever just feels bad.We didn't even manage to escape at all simply because we always died to players with min maxed builds. like how is it fair i can barely bring a blue knife without being in higher level lobbies but that fighting class can bring an entire set of grey plate armor.

    Nerf damage on bows. Remove weapon mastery as a perk. Remove panther silence. Randomized modular maps. Bigger map with more players per run. New classes. Arena rewards (not looting mid fight) & Arena Ranking system.

    1. Introduce and fix more combat mechanics (im not talking Mordhau levels but at least something). Blocking, parrying, etc. This may also include more interesting bow or Ranger changes to differentiate themselves from fighters, who are just better for some reason. This could be a Ranger perk/skill problem though.
    2. Quivers/extended inventory like we were promised a gazillion years ago
    3. Subclasses/talent tree. Example, if i wanted to play a certain playstyle of warlock, the subclass/talent tree would reflect choices for lets say a dark magic warlock or a demon warlock. This also makes me think they should add more spells and stuff as well because for some reason they have perks like Ice Mastery and stuff when wizards only have 1 ice spell?? I feel it doesnt make much sense.
    4. Have some benefit to kill mobs/sub bosses. Right now they are simply just an annoyance and all they bring to the table is immersion or something??? atmosphere??
    I doubt Ironmace can hardly do any one of these tbh...They have promised so much and its always theres a problem and they never seem to fix. But i hope :)

    1. Randomized dungeon affixes that affect mobs and environment, even bringing circle back if your dungeon Que randomizes to that specific affix. Might be cool, might be annoying.
    2. Replace the token system that gives you slot machine gear with a small solo instanced PvE dungeon challenge to obtain loot instead or maybe keep it completely separate and instead of a uncontested treasure room challenge opportunity, attach some progression to it roguelite style that stone walls wipe progression right beside weekly quests releases but have it affect classes combat enhancements (new stuff) both for PvE and PvP, this way combat in the wipe evolves later in the season without random updates that feel unfair and removed your classes ability to compete. Might pair well with a new higher difficulty dungeon no one is meant to survive early in wipe

    Big improvements for "small changes" I think would be the potion pack & quiver (people can't bring 100 meds and 200 arrows anymore), have it make people stop moving when they equip or unequip gear (can't strip to run fast or carry 3 windlasses), need a max gear score for normal (brackets are OK for now, but it splits the player base too much & juicers are running 125+ lobbies). Need the random generated maps using modules which they said was to be on the way. Double jump should be changed to "high jump" to not allow people to shift directions mid-air. Different/unique potions like jump potions, spiderwalk, resistance buff potions like stoneskin or anti-magic that just reduces dmg taken for like 5 minutes. Give wizard something like misty step, & necromancy or summoning spells (turn dead players into skeletons?). I think the early playtests had it closer to right. 3v3 team fights took a few minutes and seemed to have more outplay potential. Maps need way MORE verticality.

    I think the most important addition would be randomized module placement. This would add back in the exploration element for players who have nailed down the best pathing in all the existing maps. I see this same sentiment in other comments (which I have 'liked'). Removing the map/mini-map entirely or adding fog-of-war for modules not explored might also be cool but that could just be me. I think making the mob content of modules somewhat random might also provide an interesting challenge.

    An open area map would be cool, but we need monk, sorcerer, paladin, sub-class options for niche build types. Stuff like that. No, we don't need another useless skin we have 10+ of those. They don't have any excuses at this point, they can't keep using the court case as a crutch for delayed content. What does the game need? Real competition. We need a studio who knows what they're doing with experience to make an actual good game off this concept to finally light a fire under IM's asses. They seem too comfortable to me. They don't even know what the game needs...

    The whole fighting segment at around 3:00 is what bothers me. I feel like early play testing the combat was a little slower an encouraged positioning, swing timing and blocking. Now it's just hit box exploitation by bending over backwards and spurglord movement like the new Call of Duty. I'm going to be unpopular and say there needs to be hitbox fixes and jump stamina like Squad had (or has). Also a PvE mode would be fantastic as a first person dungeon crawler.

    I miss the swarm and random portals at the end. It made it so that people where pushed to fight on all corners of the map instead of just certain hotspots atm.In hell no one has a reason to move around much if they dont want to.

    Playtest 3 is where the game peaked and they need to go back to that as the foundation with the current content. And then just add more content from there.
    Remove solos and duos, remove map rotation. All party sizes once again in one queue and just pick your map as it used to be. This is even better now with the party fill system. Bring back the circle and random portal extracts again, bring back the random module changes for the maps again, add the randomized trap system that was always there but never implemented. Add the fog of war that they taled about since playtest 2. Remove the three floor system until the foundational aspects that are needed to make it work are actually done and ready to be implemented.
    A gear squish is fine but it still needs to keep gear somewhat valuable. But patch 69 proved that what the game truly needed was more loot, not just upping the current loot. Gear is currently the only thing that's valuable and the only progression. We need the treasure to actually be worth gold (legendary/unqiue treasure should be worth hundreds and a thousand or more respectively), they need to implement other high ticket items like a meds case, or armor case or weapons case like Tarkov has. Like Tarkov, gear shouldn't be the really high value items. We need things akin to those bitcoins gpus, ledxs and more. An upgradeable hideout like tarkov that requires tons of lootable/buyable items to build it up creating more valuable items. This can be the place that you can have a training dummy in, expand your stash, craft stuff etc.
    A lot can be done but the game needs that foundation to build upon and playtest 3 was where it was almost perfect.
    Make Dark and Darker great again.

    -F2P Players should be able to unlock more character slots via challenges
    -PvE only mode; Like it or not, some people want this because they aren't good at PvP and want to kill mobs/Bosses alone. Less treasure than normal.
    -Not my idea, but random gen dungeons would be huge.
    -Ninja class similar to Rogue with stealth but quicker and more agile.
    -Brute Class. Low move speed but a tank for damage. Kinda in between Barb and Fighter.

    game needs more content, balancing currently can be mostly good like 90% if they make weapon mastery give -10% action speed, remove the damage reductions from it, and rework rogue skills into 1 (smoke pots, caltrops, maybe something to aggro mobs) and put it all into 1 skil, maybe minor druid buffs

    Rebuff HP, fix movespeed as a stat (ie delete it, replace with an agility based dodge mechanic) and randomize dungeons. The game will sort itself out in NO TIME if these are done.
    And a fun fact, if Ironmace just adds more modules to the game they don't need to make several map pools to screw up queue time. We can get a large amount of content that way.

    Remove static exits, bring back storm, remove frost cavern completely, solos only goblin caves, trios only crypts. Forgotten castle is Crypts and inferno only. Only need 2 or 3 stash spaces. Make sellable's rare again, it will decrease the cost of everything and make the currency feel juicy again like it used to.

    low ttk would be nice if it applied to everyone, barb can still easily reach 200 health, a flat -15 health screws the squishier classes more than the tankier ones.

    How about weapon stances? Other than flails and eastern weapons there is pretty good diversity of weapon choices. What if they gave every weapon two stances and switching between them would give you new move sets? Also more Longsword/Lantern shield-style block and counter options would be a great way to get more dynamic combat.

    Fix the classes and it might be fun. Wanna play a cool bow and arrow class that can drop people from across the room? Play fighter. Wanna be a fast dagger wielding ninja? play fighter. Wanna be a big scary guy running around with a massive axe one shotting squishy classes? play fighter. Sure ranger, rogue, and barb should be the choice in those situations but we all know fighter is just as capable and often times is actually the better option.

    I think shorter wipes (like 2 week long) would be healthy for the game.
    Naturally the player count will drop gradually over 3 months in a game with no end game content.
    Shorter wipes would motivate players to return often, and always keep the game "fresh" for those that don't have that much time to invest.
    It would also allow drastic changes to be tested for a wipe (like the patch 69) without so much negativity from the community. If the 2 week long wipe is unplayable for you, just wait for the next one.
    Also remove barbs, fighters, rogues, wizards, rangers, bards, warlocks, clerics and rangers.

    they need to add a practice mode so you can learn every mob without feeling like you are going to lose something or be rushed by a random player.
    I personally find it hard to learn new weapons swings/parry's and would love a mode where you could learn in your own pace that goes double against against boss's

    1. Add skilling with levels for example skinning and the higher level the higher the chance to get pelts and better things you can skin starting with wolves moving up to troll/cyclops etc., Mining where you get more and better ores at higher levels starting with cobalt and moving all the way up to gold, Botany and put way more herbs in the game and make it so you can craft better potions at higher levels all the way up to purple hp pots/prot pots/bandages etc. but the materials for purple ones being extremely unlikely to be found and require a high level to gather.
    2. Remove level requirements for high roller and market there is 0 reason for it to exist in the first place.
    3. Change/remove ranking system it's always been bad and a time dump for useless stuff in the end minus the gold bags.
    these are the main things i'd want to see theres tons more wrong with the game though

    Currently I believe you can get a max random modifier rolls of +22 HP total. They should Add that to base HP and removed it from random mods so that way builds can be more diverse.
    Also increase the time it takes to open/close doors.

    Revert 15hp and reduce armor rating by 20% on every bit of armor. Hippo Barb with all different flavors of PDR Fighter (Rondel, Crystal Sword, Demon's Glee) just feel really oppressive for a very long time now.
    A thing to actually nerf in Weapon Mastery could be the fact Fighter can use bows. Bows are insanely strong, and when 60% pdr fighter can use a recurve bow, it gets insanely oppressive. Chaging "Can use any weapon" to "Can use any weapon except bows" wouldn't take much but I think it'd fix some issues.
    From content I don't really have expectations, I'd just like to see the time and effort being used for actual new content instead of balance overhaul after balance overhaul, especially if the balance overhauls are met with such backlash as Patch #69 on release. And sure, balance changes are necessary, but probably not to the extent of changing every class and every item in the game simultaneously.

    Here are a few ideas that I think would improve the game, and the split playerbase we are experiencing.
    Arena open and available 24/7
    More gamemodes in arena, ie multiclassing, 5v5, hide n seek, and somewhere to just goof around with no playerdamage(think the old lobby tavern, just with silly minigames )
    a loadout testing ground where you are solo agasinst whatever enemy you choose, with the damage feedback numbers u get from the dummy when you hit them.
    Adventure only dungeon where you CAN team with everyone and loot gets randomly split after boss drops.
    Castle siege map 20v20
    QoL adjustments for menu. Mark and drag items in group type shit, better sound design

    I suggest adding a roadmap. Maybe add some new stuff each season, even if it’s something small like new gear. Also Twitch drops would probably help a lot. I think balance should also be a priority because the players suffer most from unbalance.

    the old 68 ttk was amazing, it made everything take so much more skill dependant and made gear matter less since 3k kits could build much more easily to win vs 10k kits. Higher ttk is more fun because its more forgiving, ppl are gonna rage quit a lot more if they keep being 1 tap by barbs after 1 tiny mistake. Even then barbs patch 68 had so many ways to catch kiting classes, pdr nerf was needed tho that i think every1 can agree on.

    (Note: this is for solos) higher ttk will make fighters and barbs be even stronger than they are now. Also caster warlocks will become meta again which is bad imo because nobody likes playing vs warlocks that spam hydra at doors all game. Classes like bard, rogue, wizard and ranger will be nerfed by higher ttk because meele classes that run at you can just tank more and then win the meele fight because they didnt get poked down enough for you to finish them. it will also introduce more running/opening and closing doors gameplay in higher geared lobbies.

    non modular maps, make quests shared between characters, remove druid (or at least remove instant transformation).
    Remove all movespeed modifiers from gear apart from agility (make classes the speed they were supposed to be), also any boots are just bad unless they have movespeed on them rn.
    also make backstep on ranger have 1 stack not 2.
    Just my thoughts wondering what others think about removing movespeed modifiers.

    Guilds. It will train new players and provide an outlet to always come back to the game. Large guild based goals and rewards for completing them will revitalize old content. You might actually learn warlord if your guild wants the warlord crest and they will likely teach you how to beat it so you can contribute.
    I get why they removed the pre lobbies, but it also removed the only real social/community interaction the game had. Fucking around with people pre lobby created such cool interactions both in and out of the dungeon.

    As a fighter/bard main my thoughts are mainly shift the meta, remove bows and crystal sword fighter its the only thing you face, rework druid, make wiz have more health cause he is just impossible to play as spell caster, make bossing easier way to get to, make bossing worth it, make ranked more fun and not boring, make rangers want to play kitted (only rangers you verse are all true greens or shit blues ranger), make true get taken out, make rogue not so shit so maybe a rework or slight perk tweaks. opinions that i can think of off the top of my head after playing the game for 1500 hours idk.

    Each class should have a smaller static window of allowable move speed. For example each class has a maximum and a minimum move speed, and it is tailored on a per-class basis, this way, you can ensure that squishy classes are faster than plate/melee classes, but not by a ridiculous amount. Similarly, you can't have a melee class crazy outrun a ranged class because they min-maxed their gear.
    The other thing this would accomplish is the balancing between the classes would become easier because each class's move speed would be extremely predictable. Currently its really hard to balance classes like barb on one end of the spectrum because they have such has stats, if they have high MS, they just chase everyone down and kill them vs a ranger that also can crazy outrun everyone and knock people back it is hard to find the balance in-between.

    Ima be real, I've been playing since EA release and I thought this was gonna be a game i was gonna be playing for the next 3 years before I got bored and I still do love the game but its stale, it has been for awhile and now we have the addition of a lower ttk which to someone that plays squishy classes doesnt feel that great. I think that whole patch 69 nonsense threw the balance out of wack and realistically I'd like to see every class except barb and fighters health be brought back up, they do not need it and were the only classes before patch 69 that actually had an outrageously high ttk. i think you do that, nerf the long bow because it was busted before the -15 hp (I was getting near 2 shot in my bard kit that was near 40% pdr and 164 hp( and the games actually in a pretty balanced state, at least to a point where they can focus on other things. what they gotta stop doing is fucking with gear mid wipe. I played this wipe literally just for arena, that means all my time was spent grinding the dungeons for good kits for arena, for them to actually ruin those kits with one gear change is fucked (and they ruined them that near 40% pdr 164 hp kit is now currently 28% pdr 124 hp, they removed the max hp rolls and left me with max health bonus on everything.) I fully support that gear change, I think it was a necessary change, just not mid wipe, we've treated end of wipe like a pre season in the past, thats when you do that kind of thing. not in the middle of a wipe when our gear still matters to us, that is the main reason I quit playing this wipe. as far as content goes I think adding more maps, classes, and all that would be good, but I think thats only temporary content and what I mean is it will only entertain people so long just like the maps and classes we currently have done to this point. what I would like to see is the combat expanded upon and a lot of people say that but dont give really any description of what they mean, i think something that would be cool and not game breaking is take how the zweihander has 2 attack patterns and apply that idea some other weapons if not the majority of them, along with dual wielding give it an actual combo attack. also make shields work more than 75% of the time.. im tired of watching arrows fly through my buckler and stick out of my hand, like tf we talking about..

    Been playing this game since the beta. I play the game a lot of different ways but personally would like to see the content roll out. We have basically have have one map come out and one class (Ice Caverns and Druid). Balancing classes constantly shouldn't be the main focus. If something is blatantly unfair it should be easy to chance in a quick amount of time.

    What abt wep mastery only for mellee and it gives like a 5%phys bonus on whatever it is(rewarded for using different weapons). Only thing I like abt the health nerf has been making 1 shot builds or just maxing out dmg on warlocks beam. Just feels boring hp stacking always on builds just to not get 1 or 2 tapped by lots of weapons. Not much variety if u have to spend so much money on hp for builds. I’m basically always solos unless I feel like random queuing. Honestly love that they added that. Would love to see more weapons too the PvP probably wouldn’t feel as stale adding new weapons semi consistently

    Imo the game mostly needs more combat mechanics, mostly based around blocking and movespeed stimulants for each class. Counterattack should be a default buff for every class, mostly every weapon should have a block(with an increased hitbox), and the base action speed for putting up a block should be increased. every class should have some way to gain movespeed built into the class, like rogue could gain 125% backpedal ms when they land a melee hit, or counterattack from blocking.

    Most importantly, the game needs CONTENT.
    I believe SDF has said in a pod before that he isnt interested in 'Event rooms' which is unfortunate.
    -As a simple example, A NPC could be trying to close a monster rift and it requires 2 minutes to protect it. All players in the raid are notified of when it starts and the last group standing reaps its rewards.
    -1v1 Arenas, this forces them to bring better solo balance to classes like cleric and such. Also arenas gameplay loop of wanting to find/craft minted gear helps keep the pvpve dungeons full.
    -Balance wise if the TTK is to remain like this then I feel all ranged damage needs tuned down and give ranger class some perks like slayer+dual wield combined into one perk maybe or a hybrid of it (3 WD and 5% AS)

    Game feels great right now, really having a ton of fun and enjoying it. Gear feels great, people are playing geared now, kills feel rewarding and I've been having fun up until patch 69. I play move speed barb 315+ in duos and I have two demigod barbs so idk if its bias or not. Really hope they head this way. All classes feel very balanced right now and the game just needs more content and fun things to do. Put a ton of hours in this wipe, really having fun!

    I need a melee combat revision. The Omni-directional combat has so much untapped potential. I want the parry and riposte expanded to other old and new weapons beyond the longsword.
    A universal jab move to briefly interrupt opponents’ attacks, with varying speeds based on the weapon. Missing a jab leaves the player vulnerable for maybe 1-2 seconds, preventing spam but rewarding precise timing.
    New fuxking weapons and armor man Jesus, guilds, actual unique maps, not this modular crap.
    I think I’ve said enough for now

    To tell you the truth, I'm still in love with the game. The issues with patches 68 and 69 have been fixed and the game has been running really well for me, of course I'm a casual player. Rank 0-24, 124 in the normal game and rank 0-224 are great too. In terms of marketing, the game can offer a lot of opportunities to the developers, they just need their commitment. A weekend with bonus drops, rare monsters appearing more in each dungeon. All of this to attract new players. But I still think the game is amazing!

    Small fixes, additions to the dungeon/classes etc aren't going to be enough to pull big swings in population. The game needs a longer railroad to ride, long term progression in some kind of way. Reward skins/achievements for time played (bosses killed, head shots kills, extractions, etc..) Or something like a skill tree, (communal through religion or personal/Sub classing) Would really give some teeth to the long haul of wipes (mid wipe slump etc.) Better events (Why no All torches off during halloween?) And lastly more social interactions (Tavern hub, player housing) Would all make people want to spin more time in the game.

While PvP can be fun, sometimes i just want to go fight some bosses or do inferno runs without being attacked by players that just want to kill the entire lobby. Kond of a big project but a new map and new mobs would be nice, just to get something new. Also new gear, and maybe look at some base stats for classes and see where there can be some adjustments.

    I'm pretty new to Dark and Darker, cleric main. I'd say refreshing some of the perks for classes would be nice. I feel like there is a few perks that are honestly throwing. Some druid changes would be nice too as they are just frustrating to play against

    Guilds, more ways to show rank/skill (i.e. badges or something similar to apex banner cards), more content in maps/mobs/subclasses

    -True damage breaks the game, remove it and buff penetration rolls for anti-PDR/MDR (make them a flat reduction)
    - Ranged/kiting/MS meta works around avoiding as much of the game mechanics as possible, bad, remove MS rolls and use MS as a class balance tool
    - Slightly nerf windlass, longbow and recurve damage
    - Remove rondel infinite combo
    - Weapon mastery should only give you one non-fighter weapon
    -Buff weak/unused stuff on classes we desperately need build variety, and have a more risk/reward balance philosophy for skills and perks (Example, double Adren rush bonus but double the penalty)
    - Patch 69 squire gear was amazing, we should scale gear up from that, not nerf it back down to useless trash
    - More spells
    - Make pve harder in HR this will make third partying and spawn rushing more difficult
    - We need a season dedicated to fixing up or reworking existing content, new content will bring a surge of players but we still don't have retention

    I think all classes need some form of blocking. The best fights are when its back and forth with the ability to play make in ways other than running away. Would enhance the combat in a very easy and fun way.

    as someone who has played since the early alpha days on and off, i think more unique class identity is needed to make teamplay more viable for all classes and not just the same stuff over and over. I think peoples want for variety has lead us to where the game is at today and it has made certain classes feel almost unplayable and other classes extremely powerful. Move speed stat should be deleted from item drops or reworked. One of the biggest reasons i dont play right now is because of the move speed/pdr stacking meta and its just not fun to me at all. For me the game was most fun in the early days before everyone was sweating over stats and we were all just playing with friends trying to come up with fun/unique comps that had their use cases. Idk if we will ever get back to this or maybe im just feeling nostalgic but it seems the devs direction currently is to try and make every character do everything and its lead to classes like barbarian and fighter just being overpowered all around with the ability to output high damage from range and melee and stack health/pdr to no end all while stacking move speed and heal in no time with potion chugger or second wind.

    I would love to see all stats on the items and skills. Cooldowns, impact resistance/power, all that matter and game would really win from that.
    Second thing they needed to implement year ago, is ability for player to go to "raid" all alone. Let it be a room 10x10, but players must have ability to try to dodge, swing and shoot their bow before getting on adventure.
    These two is what game need first.
    I read comments and I get it why devs never listen for their players. And I can only suggest to stupid people to sit on their hands and shut up, letting us talk.

    squire/perk/spell presets to swap between builds would be such a nice QoL change
