¡I will spare you my broken Spanish!, but I love the videos I have seen. You speak slow enough and enunciate enough to allow for more comprehension but fast enough for it to be a challenge. Getting better at hearing words and also using the subtitles, I realize I need to touch up on conjugations and, like my Spanish 1 teacher always harped on, ¡VOCABULARIO! I think I will be able to understand if I actually know the word! Gracias. Continuaré a mirar tus videos.

María, I have just finished watching 202 of your Why Not Spanish videos. (I skipped one video, the video featuring your students speaking Spanish.) The videos are quite useful and the production value is very high. It took me about three months to get through the entire series. I have found your newer videos to be of more value than your older videos, and I especially like the last two videos because they are quite advanced, and your content is better informed and more unique than previously. Your listening activity videos are very unique and useful, especially with the closed captions enabled; these videos are valuable for intermediate as well as very advanced Spanish users and are worth watching several times over. I am delighted to have seen you get better as a teacher and to see your videos mature into higher quality videos offering more unique and more advanced content. Cody and Maya are lovely characters in the videos as well, but you are clearly the star. Cody is a bit camera shy and awkward, isn't he? Good for you to have found a video producer who can capture your talent as an educator with such high production quality! I am interested to learn that you are moving to Colombia. I wish you and Cody the best with the transition and look forward to hearing more about it on your Why Not Spanish videos in the future. I have some interest myself eventually in teaching Spanish to English speakers or English to Spanish speakers, and perhaps our paths will cross some day in the real world. Can you do a video on detras vs. atras? I could only find portuguese speakers explaining this for those learning Spanish and I can't understand Portuguese. Maybe you can include others words that have "tras" in it.
hi. I have been learning Spanish for 5 months now. I have tried to use different resources, even Duolingo :/ I don't think its the best app but there are definitely words that are usable. I take them down in my notebooks. However, this is such a long process. I just want to ask if there are definite ways you can recommend to me to learn spanish. I am thinking to buy handbook. I want to get workbooks but they are unavailable here where I am from. tHANK YOU.

Is it slower than what you would speak if you were with your family in Colombia? My biggest issue with Spanish right now is understanding Spanish speakers in real time but I can understand you pretty decently.
