    Your video was very helpful, especially at the end when you were waving them around. I could get a sense for how they balance. I chose the Holdpeak for ergonomics, readability, and zener diode mode. I found that the Holdpeak has very long springs inside the battery bay, making it difficult to install NiMH and other high quality AA cells. I cut them down to 60 percent length and now all is good. The accuracy is just fine except below 10R and below 300 pF where it diverges significantly. I've tested Zeners up to 24 with this and it's quite accurate. Also, the banana terminals on the holdpeak accessory leads were somewhat rusty right out of the box and the plastic holders for those bananas flimsy. This doesn't make sense because the probe tips are gold plated and the wires very good. I changed out the ends with gold plated banana plugs.

      You have an very interesting point there! now OLED displays becoming more standard flipping the display should be possible more easy now, with LCD this was not.

    I have the uni-t one
    I fill like it's kinda Annoying When I use it for too long
    My hand begins to pain
    I don't know why they didn't use a magnetic or spring Mechanism to bend the probes
    They Instead Use The plastic itself
    Which is very hard And need to be Squeezed So bad In order to measure the stuff you want to test

    Nice comparison.
    Is that Uni-T really that heavy to become an annoyance (both weight and tweezer push)? It seems, for that price, like quite a good device for its purpose and t.b.h. I personally like the tweezer-cover better than to have to put the device into a box all the time.

    • @TonyAlbus
      @TonyAlbus  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Marnix, The Uni-T has a nice box, a tweezer cover and was calibrated best. For me is was the weight. The Mashtech is smaller lighter was not trying to twist my wrist ..it does have less options. Now i could compare the weight against an other, so that is a bit tricky, but i think i would have mentioned the weight also if i only had the uni-t. Like in my sum-up at the end.. mashtech at the desk UNI-T for on the road. depends where you are more, or you need those options that the Mashtech is missing. The tweezer push will get better in time i would think.

  • @geirendre
    @geirendre 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    But why would you want a tweezer DMMs like these, and not just tweezer testleads that you put into your regular benchtop meter?
    That's both cheaper and more flexible (easy to swap between different multimeters, LCR-meters etc).

    • @TonyAlbus
      @TonyAlbus  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      is indeed also an option, depends if the DuT fits the bench. will add the tweezers cables also to the item links in the description. thanks!

    Does it give the correct dimensions of the capacitors on the pcb ? Is the value measured on the pcb the same as the measured value outside the pcb, that is, when the component is idle ? I would be grateful if you would post a video on this topic, best regards.

    • @TonyAlbus
      @TonyAlbus  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can not say, it depends on the circuit... i you messuere 1 cap... that is a parallel of other caps. i will not messure the value of that 1 cap but off all of them... in circuit not the best way to messuere.. but you can detect a short.
