    In this video tutorial I share with you the importance of using a cutting mat, I also explain the self healing qualities of the mat, what the markings are and how to use the grid.
    The mat is portable, heat-resistant and comes in many colours and sizes.

    My cutting mat was delivered just now, I decided to go to You Tube for best practical use of it , yours is the first video. I was watch and then you said 'on the opposite side..' I didn't realise there was an opposite side lol. Cheers for this. I've subbed!

    I've been using my mat for 25+ years and it's still going strong. Just need to replace rotary cutter blade every few years.

      They are an amazing tool, and I agree with you about replacing the rotary cutters. BratBusters Parenting.

    These are really nice! I just wish I could afford one large enough to fit my full cutting table so I could use it to cut out patterns!

      Hello Myra, Personally I think they should sell these boards by the meter, rather than A1 through to A5 size. Thank you for commenting.

    How do you manage to get rid of the "fuzzy's that get stuck in the cuts? I like the idea, but gave up on self healing years ago because no matter what I used I always had strings etc. sticking in the cuts. Have things improved or is there a neat new way of keeping the board clean?

    • @colleenglea
      @colleenglea  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hello Kay. I’m not aware of any techniques, maybe as you say, they have improved the quality of the board. Thank you for taking the time to comment.

    • @kylieheh
      @kylieheh 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Just use a regular eraser and the fuzzies will easily go away

    Isn't it difficult to cut some fabrics with a rotary cutter?

    • @colleenglea
      @colleenglea  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, there can be but if you prepare the fabrics well before hand it can be done.

    The cutting mat you use in your video has yellow lines and the one in the link has white lines. It's not the same! Please provide the link for the one you are using in the video with yellow lines.
