I'm putting a Reverse Architect on my Wish List. That looks like fun. I put a Kirk Speer CSI (F) on my LMZG2.0 PM1 Matte. It even has his 'Nib Wolf' design on the nib. Love. It. ❤
it's been a BLAST to use. I find myself using the reverse side more often because it's larger, but the regular side of the nib (the EF side) is really great in the hobonichi squares. Just typically finer than i'm used to. Makes me want to get a normal broad architect nib ground!!
Really enjoyed this video Manda! So glad you found your Turquoise Twsbi!! Loved seeing the Reverse Architect in action. Huge Kirk Speer fan here, he does wonderful cursive italics for me, I think he’s the best! Be well, so glad you are doing videos again ♡♡♡
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it!! :) I am also glad I found it - I knew I just used it, so it couldn't have gone too far. I was surprised it was at work though. haha I'm hit or miss on a cursive italic but maybe if i could have it ground in person... 🤔
I am also thinking about that grind on a mini. Maybe at a pen show. It would be cool to see all your TWSBIs lined up in a row. Maybe a state of the collection video?
great idea - after watching everybody's 1-pen-per-brand videos, I know I could never do that fairly, so I have considered maybe doing videos of chunks of the collection... Ecos.. 580s... lamys.. sailors, etc. I don't think I could do a full "whole collection" video again. LOL
I love this pen too. I love all TWSBI so I love seeing others who love them too. Have fun with your new mini with a nib grind. I have a similar grind from someone else and I love it. Both inks look amazing.
This is a bit like the nib that Wendi-Sue showed in her video today! Love the comparison of the two icy blue TWSBI's. I have the mini blue, I actually prefer the mini 580 pens, so maybe I don't need the Iceberg! Thanks Manda :)
Manda, again, thanks so much for sharing. I’ve been wanting to branch out to an upgraded Twsbi and that ice color is soooo pretty. But I’m so nervous about the grips on the metal 580’s. Do you find them comfortable for longer journaling sessions? You said you liked the AL more, are they comfortable for longer times? I find the ECOs are so comfortable. Thank you!
Eco is my most used TWSBI without a doubt. I don't have any problem with the metal sections on the 580s. I don't care for the textured section of the 580ALR,though I will use it, but the AL is fine for me. it's not slippery, and the pen is very comfortable for my hand. if you've used a Diamond 580 w/o a metal section, then it will feel similar. The diamond twsbis are a little heavier/more substantial than an eco, though.
I have a few TWSBI ECOs, but recently I bought a Swipe. Most of my pens have medium nibs, and that's what I ordered for my Swipe, but it writes as a broad nib. That was a major disappointment.
Nope. The only issues I’ve ever had with a cracking twsbi is when I’ve done something wrong to it, like taking the nib out of an exp and shoving it back in too hard, or over-tightening the threads on a screw-to-post vac mini. My TWSBIs have never cracked just by looking at them :)
Love Pen Realms work! He makes buying pens easy!
Love your new pens!

@@inksplat yes. I like the idea of collection by brand.

haha I'm a KNOWN TWSBI fan girl. They have their issues, but I just love 'em. THis grind is so much fun! Thanks so much for watching!
Thanks!!!
Asa-Gao is one of my favorite inks. Thanks for the video.

I need to put that reverse architect on my wishlist!
It’s been really fun to write with!!
I am so glad you showed the architect vs reverse architect. That really helped me make my decision. Rachelle in Seattle
You’re welcome! I’m glad it was helpful!!
Asa-gao is my G.O.A.T.

@@inksplat good to know about the extra weight too. I’ll keep thinking about it. Thank you for replying.

My swipe mediums are also very juicy, but I love that! Sorry you’re disappointed!!
have they cracked yet???
