    Platinum is one of the only makers that ships semi-permanent iron gall blue black ink with its pens as standard. That Blue Black ink cartridge is one of the more "famous" inks from Platinum, so if you haven't already, I'd encourage you to try out the ink. It's extremely well behaved with a lot of good shading. Platinum's dye-based inks are among the most well behaved anywhere, and their Classic Ink line of iron gall inks is even better than their standard dye-based inks.

      I knew Platinum made awesome iron gall inks but I. Ever knew the included cartridge was one as well! Thanks!

    I love mine and have multiple. The uef is my favourite. The nibs imo can be a little ‘hit and miss’- I’ve had to exchange a couple. Once you find a good one, to me, almost perfection.

    Thank you for a wonderful video. My magnificent nephew gifted me this identical pen just today for my birthday. It is just beautiful. I dearly love it. Great writer and perfectly designed pen. By the way, your nails are exquisite. They are perfectly shaped and they have a gorgeous sheen to them. My compliments. You are so very elegant and sophisticated.

    This is one of the next pens on my list. I won a Pilot 743 (M) and love how smooth and bouncy the nib is. I am a bit heavy handed though when I write. So I wish it was a fine nib. Sort of has me torn on this pen if I want the EF, F, or SF. Need to go hands on with them to figure it out I guess.

    I have the 3776 Century Sakura with medium nib. Very smooth when at proper rotation angle but digs a bit if rolled even a little bit. It has feedback on paper with tooth but is glass smooth on Claire Fountaine. My Namiki (m) is smoother overall but the Sakura is very enjoyable to write with. Those two are my default writers.
    My inked pens I carry are Caran d’Ache Leman (B), Sailor PG (F), and Pelikan 600 Art Collection (M)
    The Platinum and Namiki have Akkerman ink in them. Caran d’Ache has Pilot Ku-Jaku, Sailor has Sailor, and I’m still searching for best ink for Pelikan.

    I have the white version of this pen with a fine nib. It writes well but I got off to a little bit of a rough start. I've been using Platinum cartridges since the beginning and it took a very long time for the ink to get through the feed the first time. I tried flushing the nib with water and squeezing the cartridge after it was installed but it took longer than any other pen I own to begin writing.

    • @KarynaLovesToPlan

      @@KarynaLovesToPlan No problems since the beginning. The slip & seal feature has kept the nib from ever drying out. Now that the ink is flowing I'm going to stay with the same color of ink in the Platinum cartridges.

    I have 4 of these, probably the pens I use the most. The basic ones, made of plastic, are a little less nice than the higher end models…the plastic gets duller with little micro scratches….but they all have great nibs. I don’t care for the fine nib, though, mine is just too fine and dry. Medium and broad are perfect.

    I just got my first fountain pen a couple of days ago, and I'm already looking to buy another! Got hooked after the first sentance I wrote! Been looking at a lot of pens, and this is one of the ones I am considering buying, but ideally I'd want something either more modern and sleek looking, or the complete opposite with something very traditional like the 3776 with Maki-e designs (but they cost double the amount of the regular 3776, so not sure if it's worth it for me). Any ideas?
    Edit: Also wanted to say that the heart in the nib is one of the main things that makes me want this lol. It's so cute!

    • @KarynaLovesToPlan
      @KarynaLovesToPlan  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It really depends what is worth spending money on. If you love the 3776 and the way it writes, and you think investing in the Maki-e is worth it, go for it! But the writing experience won’t be that much different to the regular 3776. Good luck choosing!

    Hi karyna, thinking of getting this pen with a fine.
    How does the feedback compare against the sailor?
    I have a coarse and it feels like the nib has resistance against the page when writing while the sailor has more audible feedback and lesser feedback/resistance compared to the platinum

    • @KarynaLovesToPlan
      @KarynaLovesToPlan  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The Platinum nib is stiffer than the Sailor nib. The Fine is finer than the Medium Fine on the sailor.
