You are so fortunate to have an autocross venue where you can explore the potential of your car. I ran A7's on an Ariel Atom and had a hard time making them work. They seemed to be designed for heavier cars. I too found I needed to run higher pressures. Really difficult to build heat into them to make them work.

I smacked the underside of my Gt40 replicas nose against the trailer when loading it for the first time.
That’s just what sometimes happens when you drive awesome vehicles.
Don‘t get too discouraged by the little setbacks and keep up the great work 👍👍

A soft compound Avon race slick would be better tire for that car. Even A7s are a bit hard for lightweight formula cars. Takes a while to get heat in a7 with low weight. Heck even my 3000 lb car struggles on A7s when temps are under 70.
You also want shorter tires to heat up quickly. Bigger diameter tire will take longer to heat up in short autocross.

Have fun now, take a bit of your retirement while you can enjoy it. While I'd love to see a 3rd car, with your new gig, the 3rd is gonna be way out there anyway.

What are you doing leaving the stickers on?

Sometimes, tire stickers are designed to be very thin and weak so that they just wear off the first time you use them. The alternative is making a thick sticker that's strong enough to peel off of the tire without tearing it and leaving a bunch of bits stuck to the tire. If you've ever spent an annoying amount of time trying to peel the stickers off of something, it doesn't get easier when they're applied to sticky rubber.
It supposedly doesn't make much of a difference to leave the stickers on anyways. Even F1 used to have cars leave the pits with stickers on the tires before they started printing barcodes directly on them.

Screw the modern formula cars. This is the dream. Now, if only more European tracks would actually allow such cars.
