    Great project! The trim pieces around the top surface are a good idea, and is a great example of thinking through a project and the use it will see. An out-of-balance load in the washer when it hits the spin cycle will walk that thing across the room, unless it's restrained.
    If someone were not using leveling feet to contact the floor, as you did, in an application like this I might recommend sticking some ground-contact-rated pressure-treated 1x4 pieces on the bottom ends of the legs with construction adhesive (no nails or screws up through the bottom). Besides the chemicals, face grain contacting the floor instead of the end grain of the legs will help prevent any moisture from spills or leaks wicking up into the leg, and slow any early rotting in that potentially wet environment.

      Thank you! Yea I thought the trim pieces finished off the tops nicely and provided a ‘stop’ for the machines if they start to walk. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    only problem i have concrete floor is uneven so to make it square is ok but legs has to be cut at diffrent lengths so i put 2 legs on make it level screw other 2 legs mark em take off and cut then add center posts as needed treated 2x6 and 4x4 is a must just incase they get wet love this vid just giving my findings ...

      The very end of the video already addresses unevenness of cement floors and how he decided to allot for that.

      I appreciate the feedback! Yea you might have to approach it a little differently depending on how uneven the floor is. In this case, the adjustable leveling feet were able to compensate that difference and the floor wasn’t too out of level.

    Good day, I have a project to make something similar and no one seems to know what 2x4 size is.
    Would you please give me a close measurement to that in cm or mm?

    Does it have to be secure to the pedestal incase the washer moves with vibrations?

    • @DoingWhatever
      @DoingWhatever  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I didn't, but if there's a way you're able to it wouldn't hurt I don't think. I added the trim pieces so that even if the machines vibrated to the edge, they wouldn't be able to fall off, if that makes sense

      Do you have plans for stacking a different brand dryer on top of a different brand washer? Essentially a shelf over the washer that the different brand dryer can sit on?
