An upside down flag means the country is in Distress. (Which, if we’re all going to be honest, it is. )
INCORRECT. An upside-down flag is a recognized distress signal for individuals or small groups who need immediate attention. My MAGA neighbor tried that stunt and almost went to jail! Our flag is a national symbol and should not be used as a political prop.
Yeah, you can try that to sanitize it.
But this wasn't an upside flag in a vacuum. It was right after the insurrection, days before the inauguration, and while the court was deliberating hearing a case involving the election, when the MAGA insurrection movement was using the upside down flag as a dog whistle.
All that said, we are in distress. We have a major party that has been occupied by traitors who prefer Moscow over Mount Rushmore, Autocracy over America, and Trump over Truth.
