I’ve loved this song for a long time!! It’s lovely that it’s got a new video, but it’s shame that it is made by AI. Admittedly it is pretty well ‘shot’ with the different shots spliced together nicely, but as an animator, the way that AI makes things move is really uncanny and un-lifelike unfortunately (Or fortunately I guess, since I can hopefully still get jobs 😅) It’s a hard situation to be in. On one hand, I know indie music artists can’t afford to hire an animation studio, usually. So this technology is a good compromise for them. On the other hand, the ‘art stealing’ that AI does is really unfortunate. I’m always the kind of person to try and find a middle ground, but I’m still not sure what I think yet.

lol there's no AI here. As far as I know the closest anyone (at this level) has been able to animate via AI with good results is Corridor with their Rock Paper Scissors 2 video, and they had to literally build their own custom image library of themselves as characters to train the AI from scratch to get it to work. they talk about the whole process and while it's definitely a shortcut in terms of animating, it was still a lot of work, but for a small team instead of a whole building of people so I don't think I would consider it "cheating" instead it's the next advancement after 3d modeling. certainly, if you don't have the right workflow you're going to get janky results

@@better.betteryes, this is AI. It’s basically a frame by frame of each generation’s variation, and the overlaying of scenes is done in post.
They also likely used stock footage to have the ai machine generate with, for the glass smashing scenes particularly seem to use this method.
