- In this video we will be taking a look at Sword Art Online Fatal Bullet with an Ultimate Review of the game and letting you know weather its a good purchase or just a piece of junk.
Sword Art Online Fatal Bullet is a 3rd person shooter mixed with the aspects of a JRPG hybrid. Developed by Dimps and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, Fatal Bullet offers the Gun Gale Online experience in a continuation of an alternate timeline different from the light novels and anime series.

I feel like this game would have made a great actual mmo. Isnt it insane that they still havent put out an mmo? Its so crazy to me that they are just oblivious to what everyone wants from them.
Making an MMO isn't that easy, it's stupidly expensive and will be a great risk for making an MMO for a game series that doesn't perform incredibly well to warrant a large online game to begin with.
The closest they have is the mobile SAO
I'm not too familiar with SAO, but phantasy star online 2 seems to be the closest thing to it.

I love SAO the show has been amazing and I just picked up fatal bullet on steam for 10$ wanted to check it out while it downloaded.

I played the .hack recode stuff and it made me wanna revist this..... i liked it way more now than i did a few years ago.
Sword Art Online fatal bullet is a game that had a shit ton of potential but ultimately just came up a little bit short. what really good thing I can say about the game is that it's one of the only games on PlayStation that has a very good character creator if you ever wanted to create your own waifu besides code vein and Dragon's Dogma Black Desert online and Tera this game will be up your alley. There aren't that many enemies types the writing along with the story is...it's anime. With a few good parts here and there. The dialogue options are completely useless. The multiplayer is just straight out disappointed the game leaves much to be desired and the worst part is a doesn't even have a good modding community to fix it. well at least not yet anyway.
I love this game. I just started playing it even though ive had it for a while. Musketeer X is my favorite ally.
So it's a highly customizable 3rd person looter shooter? Lol

No one complains about resklinning guns in destiny, show me where people are actively complaining about it, and don't send me a post with 2-7 people engaging, I'm talking about tens of thousands.
Nobody complains about it because guess what, EVERY MMO / RPG does it. Skyrim had reskinned weapons, Witcher series, Red Dead, GTA, I can go on and on with these triple A studios that create amazing games.

The character customization is the best part of the game.
The fighting is alright, a little too loose for gun play but for an rpg it’s okay.
The story feels really scattered, perhaps because I am constantly reading subtitles but it pulls me out of the experience.
Never watched SAO so the endless cut scenes with the cast is wasted on me.
The dialogue choices are essentially pointless for the most part.
But again, it’s fun. It scratches that anime itch.
Got it from PS store for $20. Worth that much at minimum.

I think the game is very good. I also think it would have gotten a much bigger player bass if they would have given it an English dub.
Yea, I'm considering buying it but the lack of a dub really puts a damper on it for me and its not as if I'm not used to Sub only anime. I'm plenty old to have experienced much of that but it's not preference.
Yeah alot of Bandai Namco games are sub only. The fact they have the downright laziness to make a meh looking game with zero dub, yet charge $60. I wonder...$60 for Witcher 3 or this. Anime games and those that make them need a mule kick to the balls for their audacity and laziness.

well support should still stay relevant for a couple years and due to SOA games track record we could expect a remastered version in the future!

@@pryport7249 If so I'm gonna Buy it for sure, just to play my fatal bullet without hairs or other stuff clipping through my outfits. I would also like a little more options for the customization of the character. Till now I could use just like 6 hairsyiles and facestyles in total in between male and female characters, so just 3 combinations each... I'm way more complicated Namco, I need more badass feeling in this game 😂😂
i think for a gun gale online concept game it falls flat since there is not strategy and above all else , stealth and cover system
Personally I like the childhood friend character, because she isn’t Kirito or his shitty harem. Klien would be in second place though. Sure he’s kind of a loser, but I admire his perseverance when it comes to girls. You just can’t keep the man down. I want him to have his moment one day, but it’ll never happen with Kawahara’s meddling.

Runs very well imo. Yeah, sure things could've been improved, but not a bad game at all

As a veteran of this game. AT launch, the game was amazing. It was a different style of playing and you had freedom to do with it as you please. Now of course there is optimal reasons. For example i like the support role, but i could not and did not support AI to do the damage for me. At launch the multiplayer system lacked alot! After the game had many good reviews on content and play style, the devs created dungeons 7 or 8 months later that was rewarding for xp, loot, and multiplayer experience. Once those dungeons came out, the devs kept updating the game past its road map because of the player base. Now we are just talking combat system, the loot system, the grinding system (yes you needed to grind and is hard to get over some hurdles) NOT campaign, in my opinion with these kind of games is always ALWAYS Meh or tedious with its campaigns. Besides that, I have gotten friends and strangers to play this game and never watched and SAO or Gungale and said the gaming elements were amazing (after the multiplayer dungeons update). Unfortunately the updates did cease so the dev could focus on alicization lycrosis. With my build near perfect and nothing left to expect, i had to put er down. It was a glorious but sad time for me. Jokes aside, dont be surprised if this game gets a sequal. and be more focused on the multiplayer AND PVP elements. Yes it does have PVP but im sure by now the player base is low so unless you have 4+ friends to play this game with. i would just turn away.... or convince someone like me to power level you and guide you thru some tips of the game haha!

does the game have cross platform? I am eyeing it on the switch (I played the trial for 8 hours straight all yesterday..), but none of my friends like anime so they turned me down on it >_>
@@zeropositivo1990 no it does not have cross platform. Unfortunately. If it's possible invite your friends to your house. Play the game in front of them, then they may get interested
This game would have had a lot more if you could play the story in Co-Op or even getting attacked by actual players would have made the game a lot more fun. You can tell this game was a rushed jod. Specially when you look a those dungeons. Just doing the dungeons and bosses in multiplayer was a missed opportunity.
I felt like I was playing a Single Player version of Phantasy Star Online 2. I like it but why the limited online play? It does have Sword Art Online in the title. No reason not to make MMOish like PSO2.

Just got it since it was on sale. I haven't seen them ignore me when I go down, they seems to just rush me and revive as soon as possible.
I hope the ai is more useful than how good your sentence structure is buddu hahaha.

When I first bought the game I played and played until I got to level 150 but I accidentally deleted it 😭 and my game got destroyed by my brothers so I have to buy a new one

Neither is censored. It runs best on PS4

@@skull_collector4543 Hold on let me check, I think there was some talk about it, but I must of got it confused with the Japanese version of Hollow Realization which was censored. lol I do miss playing fatal bullet though, haven't played it in 3 years, great game wish it let me play multiplayer that 100 or 1000 floor secret dungeon in the dlc. Waited for the complete edition to go on sale for $14 again and picked it up on Xbox yesterday.
Skip All the cutscenes once Kiriko? Shows up until you go on the first mission as they add nothing.

This game is just a Reskin of dragon ball xenoverse 2 it’s just got a different story and voice acting and stuff but the core of the game is the same ngl
The sao game story is better than the anime/manga story
if this game will add a battle royale PvP, this will be the best SAO game.

I would have liked this alot more if it wasnt SAO branded. That whole garbage show just left a bad taste in my mouth so much so that I said "I'll play this til they shoehorn kirito" into my face. It was fun to play until the end of the first mission

For the early part it will bore you to death there's too much dialogue, this game would do good if they didn't add Kirito and friends drama. I literally haven't touch the game for ages started coming back to it manages to survive the boring parts it becomes enjoyable
