1:13:46 for those who dont know what he's singing here, its a few of the lyrics to the closing theme of the "classic" british sit-com; only fools and horses. "long live hooky street" "viva hooky (with a bit of laughing) street" "hooky street, hooky street"
J.H I am more shocked at that silly accent he is singing in. He is from Yorkshire same as me but he is putting some weird accent on here instead of singing it like he normally does.
Lenny Webb he’s been doing it since AM came out, it’s really strange i don’t get it at all, it’s not cos he’s performing in the US or owt either cos he’s done it in bare UK gigs too
I've never had the opportunity to see them perform. I know I'm going to cry my eyes out when the moment comes. I can't understand the energy of this crowd
I've seen them 3 times now and I honestly can't wait for the next one. Not even trying to boast about it but when you can feel the bass and thumps from the speakers to the floor to your soul.... It's addicting haha
I really want the day to come where I can go to a concert of theirs, I hope that if/when I do, theres a livlier crowd of people that know their songs. I get that often its annoying when people are super damn loud with their singing along, but at least a little bit is great and it often enhances the experience at concerts.
Me neither but I've already decided that when the opportunity presents itself, I'm gonna see them in Scotland (im not from there) because it was the best AM crowd I've ever seen BY FAR. You probably have but in case you haven't, i strongly suggest watching their concert at TRNSMT😍
If anything the Arctic Monkeys seem to have had a lesson in arrangement, which has really breathed new life into their older songs to the point of sounding better than ever before. TBHC is truly a project extending far beyond those 11 tracks it's a musical evolution for the band. Though I suppose you could have said that about any one of their albums.
This crowd did NOT deserve the absolutely AMAZING performance that the Arctic Monkeys blessed them with. Proud of the band, disappointed with the crowd.
Nah, German crowds are the worst. I've never seen a Rock Am Ring crowd where they weren't dead on their heels, even if the band was playing the kind of tunes that beckoned for the crowd to belt lyrics. AM has mellowed their sound with these shows that I can see why a crowd would be quieter, but theres definitely moments where the crowd is singing along; this recording has it toned down whereas other shows may tone it up (see; Blur at Hyde Park).
Same reason a lot of European bands don't tour much or at all in North America, probably not as popular enough to warrant the travel investment and planning.
As someone who went to Voodoo 2018 I knew all the lyrics to every song. I'm a huge AM fan. But not everybody else is. It's a music festival meaning that these people have been at other musicians concerts for hours. I can absolutely assure you a majority of these people were tired and completelu stoned to even know what was happening.
A fucking amazing show, really buzzed up knowing this was the last show of the year, such a shame about the crowd though! Not singing along, not losing their shit at Matt's solo and the fucking sickass drum stick thing at the end of it, Alex's talking to the crowd, the incredible set list, I could go on! Wish they had finished their tour here in the UK, would've gone out with a bang, an absolute fucking bang!
Probably their best concert since returning. Alex's voice is great here and he seems to be a lot more jokey. Shame about the crowd though, Dancefloor was one of the most awkward moments I've ever witnessed.
Beast Aree TRNSMT was a lot better than this, there was so much more energy from the band and the crowd. Not to mention the crowd actually sang at TRNSMT.
@@xxjackmlgpro1702 TRNSMT was the complete other end of the spectrum, it was to the point where you could barely hear the music being played. In terms of their best concerts ever I find Glastonbury 2013 to be the best, but that's my opinion.
Beast Aree Coming from someone who was actually at TRNSMT, you could here them really easily, the audio quality from the BBC’s broadcast is pretty poor, you can even hear how it muffles Alex’s guitar during IBYLGOTDF, a silent crowd is the worst, sure he even became frustrated with this crowd, saying during Brianstorm something along the lines of feel free to join in sarcastically (not sure of the exact quote but it was along those lines) Glastonbury 2013 is their best concert of all time. TRNSMT is the best of the tranquility base era.
VyinixHD Of course it was a great gig don’t get me wrong, the set was incredible and Arabella and snap out of it were great. I was just meaning the crowd almost ruin the whole festival feel. Still loved this gig though :)
