    Good review Chris as always. A lot of anglers use Daiwa but it does feel like the cost of changing (spares, top kits etc) means a lot of people stick with a brand, I know I’d find it hard to change (Maver user) because of what I have in total. Not sure like you say in your reply to another question it’s worth going past the c£3k of other flagship poles. If and when I get a new Maver flagship I’ll meet you at Ivy house to film you with it (you can say what you like).

      Yeah you buy into a brand and if they company has good products and customer service care, then why move?!
      Maver have definitely "uped" their game in top end poles.
      Signature 800 really nice pole. 821 again nice pole.

    Brilliant defiantly going diawa next on my next pole purchase my map 901 2g just can't get on with it and to get spares is a nightmare

    Hi Chris , thanks for this . As a direct comparison to the PT+ was I stronger and stiffer ?

    • @chris63506
      @chris63506  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I'd say Daiwa was better, definitely in my opinion thicker wall strength and therefore stronger. I'd be VERY surprised if anyone disagreed with that.
      Stiffness... no a lot in it.
      Not sitting on the fence (would have to be strong) but they are both great poles. Angling Direct are selling Browning Sphere Zero- G PT for £1119.68. And that price is a no brainer.

    Hi Chris. Just wondered if you've had chance to try the Maver MV-RXX yet? I'm sure you've heard the story that Maver sent an Air Z pro to their manufacturer and asked them to make one.

    • @chris63506
      @chris63506  ปีที่แล้ว

      No I haven't fished with MVRXX yet. I handle one in the Maver factory. Nice bit of kit.

    I was slightly confused when you started a convo with someone at 13 mins. You asked if there was much of a difference between this pole and the 'Z'. I thought you were testing the 'Z' or is there another pole called the 'Z'?

    • @chris63506

      There is the "Air Z" and Air Z Pro. Two different poles

      Feels slightly better balance, as it should be, both decent poles.

    good review there and spot on about being so dam good at 14.5m" iv got one and sphere pt+ and was really not much in the 2 poles but daiwa was much better at 14.5 as the sphere 8-9 sections do bend little then level up at 16mtr to be almost as good as air pro! not really much in weight and maybe sphere pt was little lighter! for me the pt+ is better package! but daiwa finish is way better!
    was thinking of getting a garb uk1 as lot say they are well stiff and will handle bigger fish down edge easy!

    • @chris63506
      @chris63506  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Sphere definitely feels lighter.... especially at 16 metres.
      Garbolino UK1 is a nice pole, if your venue isn't pulling fish from snags, then UK1 be fine for good fish down the edge. But surely your Browning is capable of this?

  • @pnico3775

    What a pole Chris the recovery rate is unreal at 14.5 MTRS I think it's the best pole on the market.the amount of so called top match anglers seem to prefer daiwa poles they can't all be wrong.how does it compare to your browning or your Garbo as a top match man yourself would you buy one yourself.

    • @chris63506
      @chris63506  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If I was loaded I'd buy one.
      But is it worth £5k?
      For me, I'd sooner buy two Preston XS90's to be honest.
      The Garbolino UK1 EVO is very good pole. Recovers well. I like it, hence why I own one.
      The reinforcements at the bottom of the sections on the Air Pro Z are 4 to 5 inches, whereas the Sphere is only two inches. The longer reinforcement will make the Air Pro Z last longer on wear and tear. Sections are solid, no flex in the middle of the number 7 or 6. This should be mean less broken sections.
