    Congratulations brother. Thanks for sharing - well produced video and catchy narrative - felt nostalgic watching it. Very happy for you 🇦🇺 the Aussie passport is probably the best thing about Oz. Well done. It’s ironic that we permanently moved out of regional NSW to the US to start a family last year… wishing you the very best in your career and your life as an Aussie.

    My oh my. You must have worked really hard for this. It was easy for me because I came to Australia with my parents when I was 7 years old.

      Yeah, it certainly was a long process for me.
      Glad yours was an easy one 😄

    Hi, I applied for citizenship three months ago, but I did not receive any message to submit the test. How long does this process take?

    • @BASNYAT
      @BASNYAT  ปีที่แล้ว

      After applying for the Citizenship, it can take up to 10 months. If you are one of the lucky few, it could be sooner. The immigration website tells you roughly how long it could take. You just have to be patient and wait.

    Hi! May I know how long did you wait for the citizenship ceremony after passing the test?

    • @BASNYAT
      @BASNYAT  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there, the wait time depends purely on the council you live in. I reside in the city, and the Sydney City Council usually has more ceremony slots compared to other councils. I only had to wait a maximum of 1 month before being able to attend the ceremony. As mentioned in the video, you cannot choose the council for your ceremony; it must take place in the council you reside in. For instance, my friend, who lives in the Georges City Council area, had to wait 8 months after passing the test for his ceremony. Another option is to visit your council's website and check for the next available ceremony slots. The council will send you an invitation to attend the ceremony approximately 4 weeks before the ceremony date listed on their website. However, do expect there to be some wait time. I hope this information is helpful! 🙂

    What I really don’t get is why some people who have immigrated from a much poorer countries get the citizenship in just 7 years and some people from a more developed countries have to wait for more than 10 years…

    • @BASNYAT
      @BASNYAT  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      It doesn’t work like that. There are many factors as to why it takes time and also depends how you are applying for the citizenship.

      Everyone deserves “ Equality of opportunity”, people shouldn't be limited by any kind of class distinction! This means a person should get this based on their skills and experience, not because of their wealth, ethnicity or gender😉. It is called “ Fair Go”
