Cool. :) when the science fiction fair came to Sweden about 2 years ago he was there. I think it costed like 100 euros to get an autograph from him. Me and my friend walked past him while smiling. He waved at us as a sign to go to him. We got an autograph each AND got to have a chat with him for 10 minutes totally FREE because he thought we had great characters. Nice man :)
+Jaqen H'ghar Agreed,I'm his fan, maybe because of childhood heroism, but I think his story is quite sadder than bad,he didn't wanted to make the role,he did the role, and now he can't get out of it,and he's overshadowed by a 'Sneak Whiny dumbster that never said anything and still have a better personality than mine character'
John Sabp R2D2 wanted to win a shitload of money in things that C3PO didn't wanted to do,also it wasn't the first time that R2 asked and Anthony refused...it was like the 4rth time, and so he lost his patient...
@NetherDrakeye What's wonderful is to open a Richard Dawkins interview in a separate window and have it playing at the same time as this, at the same volume...and listen to their voices intertwine...
@matchbox555 He perhaps didn't do so much, BUT he was built by Annakin Skywalker! I have always wondered what would happen if C-3PO and Darth Vader would meet again? If you think about it they never meet in the episode 4-6 even thouge they are on the place for an example Cloud City, but no C-3PO gets blown up, this is a mystery...
From this point forward in comments, anyone who says his horrible and ignorant, look at yourself! its his personality and yes, he talks proper, he shows respect, maybe you should too!
Interviewer:'Whats the future of star wars AnthonyDaniels:'George and I, and other members of the cast, are getting older now.' mybrain:'Bruh who gives a shit about 3po in the long run. in star wars 9 they have a blatent disregard for him
Watch the Fact Fiend video on Anthony Daniels. It’ll explain everything about him that people have a problem with, and it won’t do it in a pissy manner, the video is actually quite good. Look up “Fact Fiend Anthony Daniels.” You’ll see.
Nero J And people in GENERAL have a disregard for Episode 9. So it barely matters either way. Ever since it came out that in real life Anthony Daniels is a massive knob to people because he feels self importance over his C-3PO role I pretty much stopped caring about his “performances”. (i.e. Wandering around the desert like a British vibrator while complaining of life to a much more interesting trash can thing that beeps and rolls).
Why am I seeing comments complaining about him, like, seriously - in this interview he's portrayed nothing but respect for the franchise and generally seems a nice guy ..
@JakJoProduction Hahaha it actually DOES look like he's doing the mind trick xD I met Mr Daniels in Oslo in 1999, talked to him several times and he came off as a VERY polite and a nice man. As you'll see on his website etc he is very protective of his property, he fights the sales of fake Daniels-autographs and he's tough on people who sell these forgeries, but that's totally understandable, I wish other stars did like him. Plan on seeing him again in February (Gothenburg), can't wait! :D
@Tuvoklover If C-3PO and Darth Vader did meet C-3PO wouldn't know that Darth Vader built C-3PO because at the end of Revenge of the Sith C-3PO had his mind wiped.
I'm sure money is a factor, but it seems a ton of the Star Wars actors feel a responsibility to keep playing the roles, there's a lot of momentum from the corporate side, fandom thinking the next one will be better, and actors feeling they should come back when asked so it all keeps rolling on even though we've never had another Empire.
at the same time tho, Kenny was def as not as serious an "act0r" than Anthony. I think the BBSW show made Anthony look overly bad when he probably simply approached the star wars movies from a completely different professional angle to Kenny. Without this particular psychological state C3P0 would never have been half as convincing as a pernickety "stuck up" robot (compared to R2). Seriously though, he did a fine job of making C3P0 the robot we know/love today - so dont be too harsh on him...
we all love c3p0 becos he is unemotional & Witty. AD is an intelligent actor unfortunately he gets no money from now on... but at least he promotes Star Wars for Lucas & the kids.
all you people saying he is a douche, why dont you look at harrison, alex, mark and almost everyone else. they all thought the movie was utter shit and made no sense. star wars was never supposed to be as famed as it was, it was supposed to be a failure.
***** Doesn't mean he wanted the movie to fail. Hell, Anthony is the only actor to appear in all seven films thus far, though it's a fairly safe bet to assume that he won't be appearing in Rogue One (unless it's a brief cameo toward the end), but he'll definitely be back for Episode VIII and presumable IX.
Even here when Anthony is being 'nice' you can tell he's just tolerating the situation what lies beneath is a typical waspish stuck up queen. If only Kenny were his size he'd have put him in the fucking ground!
When George Lucas passes away, it will only be a matter of time before some director attempts to remake the original Star Wars movie. Please, Lucasfilms, put the legal machinery in place to stop this.
when he did the voice, it was eerie
For some reason C3POs voice reminds me of the grand dukes voice in Disney’s animated Cinderella film (1950).
I love his voice :)
Struhar Sakura Same here :)
Big Revenger EnergyTM He's sexy
I too👌🌚🖤
@@obiedrier4841 Well he was when he was younger, I wouldn't say anymore though.
@@CocoHornsby1864 yeah! And Michael is sexy too 🌚👌🖤🖤
C-3PO is among my favourite Star Wars characters. R2-D2 is a close second.
Jason Carpp seriously bitch???? It’s C-3PO he literally does nothing but bitch for 8 movies and multiple seasons of star wars
I saw him in Star Wars in concert!!!!
Nice man :)
he is such an amazing person, and this interview is really well shot :)
Why does everyone in the comments hate this guy. He was just being honest.

John Sabp He was golden...he was a robot...he was english...Iuno
John Sabp Lol what? Why?
John Sabp Oh...Ok...
@NetherDrakeye What's wonderful is to open a Richard Dawkins interview in a separate window and have it playing at the same time as this, at the same volume...and listen to their voices intertwine...
He reminds me of Richard Dawkins SO MUCH.
Saw the exhibition when it was at Scienceworks in Melbourne 2009, loved it
He was in the Lego Movie too!
TheLegoBrick, he was in Sweden 2011 :P
OMG his voice is still same :)
Such a gentleman
"No more films" HAH
Hats off to you sir!!
Are you kidding? He is AWESOME
3PO is awesome. :D I'd like to meet this guy myself. :P
@matchbox555 He perhaps didn't do so much, BUT he was built by Annakin Skywalker! I have always wondered what would happen if C-3PO and Darth Vader would meet again? The exhibit came to MN? I'm from Fergus Falls, when did this happen, where was it at?
“We Seem To Be Made To Suffer. It’s Our Lot In Life.” lol 🤖
@matchbox555 He kept R2-D2 alive!
BUT SIR The odds of surviving an asteroid field are 3,720 to 1!!!!!!!!!! BEST 3PO QUOTE EVER!!!
he even sounds like threepio in real life
@Drwhodunnit1973 Grow up.
This man is a nice person who has fond menories of Star Wars and you are who?
Leave the man alone.
Why am I seeing comments complaining about him, like, seriously - in this interview he's portrayed nothing but respect for the franchise and generally seems a nice guy ..
Lol what the fuck are you serious blud
+liam holloway blud?
what did c3po ever do to defeat the empire ?
r2d2 was the brave one

I would love to see this guy play Stan Laurel and Robbie Coltrane play Oliver Hardy.
@scottvska Well, the new films do need to be remade, or just erased from existence,
At 4:10 he does the voice. :)
@Tuvoklover If C-3PO and Darth Vader did meet C-3PO wouldn't know that Darth Vader built C-3PO because at the end of Revenge of the Sith C-3PO had his mind wiped.
Anthony, we'll se in Star Wars Celebration Europe II! :D
@matchbox555 He kept R2-D2 alive, so that he could defeat the empire!
for me he is not an ignorant man gateway1965 he is a very excellent actor...
Anthony, there are 3 more movies coming....lol
Make a mandolorian wars movie!!!!!
@mjmoore86 Indeed, your questions are very good, but he still does the Jedi mind trick xD.
Nice interview, thanks for the vid.
“The main story is perfectly fine and finely perfect so that’s not going to grow in that way.” If only Kathleen Kennedy listened to Anthony…
He even has his iwn cereal c3po's
The mans a legend.
that was not the droid they were looking for...
of course he's ponpous! he's C-3P fucking O!
@therealuptheass his "pomposity" is a product of fan adoration.

I tried viewing the haters' perspective of the story, but I can't stare at my toilet all day.
Galadriel Godriforth what u mean
we all love c3p0 becos he is unemotional & Witty. AD is an intelligent actor unfortunately he gets no money from now on... but at least he promotes Star Wars for Lucas & the kids.

What do you mean "supposed to be a failure"? I'm sure the crew behind it wasn't trying to make a bad movie.
+SimplyJay Maybe he's confusing it with the Broadway portrayed in "The Producers"
Joseph Holliday
Yeah, now that show was intentionally bad.
*****

Right, cause that's why he's refused to let others do his voice in games and animations... He totally doesn't like C-3PO.
Even here when Anthony is being 'nice' you can tell he's just tolerating the situation what lies beneath is a typical waspish stuck up queen. If only Kenny were his size he'd have put him in the fucking ground!
Danny Dyer's chocolate homunculus what did interview do
When George Lucas passes away, it will only be a matter of time before some director attempts to remake the original Star Wars movie. Please, Lucasfilms, put the legal machinery in place to stop this.
i do perfer r2d2 over c3po
C-3PO>R2D2
