Starlink In Motion Important Update!!! How To Enable In Motion Use As Of October 2023

Starlink made changes to their In Motion use as of October 2023 and its not effecting units. Here is a quick explanation of how to make sure your unit still works in motion while on land or sea. You MUST turn Priority Data ON in order for it to work in motion and it will cost you $2 per GB while on.

Don’t you think since the Starlink website states in motion only allowed for hp dish they’ll find a way to not allow it on the standard flat mount even with mobile priority? Trying to base my decision whether to future proof my setup by going with hp or doing the standard flat mount. Hate to spend $1000 on standard plus flat mount then end up needing hp in a few months after a future update

They very well could any day. That’s the tough part right now this is all up in the air. I think it would be in their interest to keep it working in motion though just based on how many people have it.

@@Fishgistics yeaaa. Some people have stated they get cut off at 10mph now but I have only seen one person get an email from Starlink support saying that they need the hp to use in motion. I may just do the hp dish and figure out how I can somehow support the power draw lol… but it’s definently a bummer if they do cut it off for everyone with the standard 😒

@@jgre82 as of today most peoples are working in motion without turning the priority on. So I would keep it off unless it doesn’t work.

Yes, but its currently working in motion without having to turn on the slider.
