It doesnt matter what DAW you use, FL studio, Live, Pro Tools. All they are is a platform to build and mould your ideas upon, and you should use which ever platform suits your style the best.
Every electronic music can be produced with any program, more important are the skills and creativity of the producer. But because FL studio is pattern based, it suits the repetitive style of House very well, whilest Cubase is perfect for Trance, and Ableton Live for Techno. I don't listen that much to House, (a lot to Trance though) but I have to admit, Laidback Luke is ace. It doesn't matter to me what he uses to make great music, as long as he manages to create fucking bomb tunes.
theres no "pro" or "beginner" producing software.. its just what ur personal preference is.. some lack things where other things have but there all different in different ways.. FL is awesome and packed full to the fuckin brim of stuff
@Plamen2007 he always replys man he helps anyone and everyone out as much as possible! the house scene needs more peopl elike luke hes a great guy! hes guided many people through the use of his forum.
@arseclown21 Well theoretically, but hardly anybody does because then fl studio looses its sense of being probably the best pattern based music maker, you can just as well use any other loop based software. Not really, usually a loop gets repeated only up to three minutes, while in House basically the whole track does
i seen this video when it got uploaded and im amazed on how so many comments of newbies since last yearr just from when the music industry started sucking balls
I work for a label and I use FL religiously. I just grew up using it and know it inside out now so why not? If your mixes don't sound 'pro' in FL its not FL, its your production.
good on him for using FL, a program with a reputation for its 'toyish' quality. clear to see thats a myth ;) its the producer no the software. I'd be well happy with that set up as it is; i've been making do with a pair of logitech speakers and a 4 year old computer.
people are so quick to hop on the bandwagon to hate fl and believe all the negativity surrounding it. laidback luke uses it, Deadmau5 uses it, and they both make more money than you per year.
@arseclown21 Well, FL Studio IS pattern based..., and no, trance is not as much or more repetetive than house, because unlike House, Trance is _always_ progressive because it is defined as progressive, whilest (almost) only Progressive house is, as the title suggests, progressive. But, yeah, your right with the "work flow", that's the main thing, but I was just saying which ones are pretty suitable for what Genres
Back then he was already producing great music. Otherwise Joachim Garraud would not ask him for a remix :) And BTW i don't use FL but i really respect people who can make good music (great music in this case) with modest setup. Music is about creativity and many of the greatest tracks were made with less than FL offers today. Even the most expensive software and hardware cannot make good music on their own :)
Wow! This proves once more that you don't need the latest-super-duper plugin or that $3000 synth to make great electronic music. Laidback Luke makes some of the loudest and strongest tracks on the market today... with a laptop and headphones! Whaaaat?
@arseclown21 And you don't seem to know me. I use fl studio (look at my channel, I uploaded my first track a while ago), I'm not the best at it but I know how to use it. I listen to EDM, though I prefer Trance (I've seen Sander Van Doorn, Markus Schulz, Gareth Emery, Above & Beyond and many more live, what about you?), I certainly listen to and know about House (Why else would I watch this video you think?). With "basically the whole track does" I mean that the whole track is repetetive
they keep this to themselves because of this unprofessional image of fruity loops. Which has also probably alot something to do with the name: fruity loops. They should have moved farther away from it then FLstudio... :P
everybody using nexus , sylenth and all the same synthesizer vsts in other DAWs then they saying FLS is a shit. Shut up fools ! Ive all the others and using FL and not shitting on the other DAWs. They are all good but FL is more suitable for me.
I'm floored by this video. Luke...you are the king.
Je adore ce mec Exemple a suivre!

F*ck. I'm really chocked right now. I had nooooo idea he was using FL Studio :D
He switched to Abelton now.
Does anyone know what headphone he uses?
I Agree, it kinda soundz like Garraud is paying him out, Go Luke! I'm gonna play his tracks more, now they sound awesome!
@chikifree Yeah of course? But with all these high class productions you could never guess that he used FL Studio. But maybe that's just me.
Every electronic music can be produced with any program, more important are the skills and creativity of the producer.

@pillFight its just a program.... creativity is the key to making beast tracks mate :D
what kind of headphones are that???
what is the name of the mixer he use
deadmau5 started just like this guy, composing in his basement...
looks like Stanton...
what a legend! im not a massive fan of laid back luke, but to get his sounds out of that is well impressive!!
what software is he using to make the music
Here is a video for all who have ever doubted FL Studio...
theres no "pro" or "beginner" producing software.. its just what ur personal preference is.. some lack things where other things have but there all different in different ways.. FL is awesome and packed full to the fuckin brim of stuff
What is the Id of the track at 0:01 ?
@Plamen2007 he always replys man he helps anyone and everyone out as much as possible! the house scene needs more peopl elike luke hes a great guy! hes guided many people through the use of his forum.
what keyboard he using for?

@arseclown21

lol his volume levels on fl studio are through the rough...clippageeee.
people are so quick to hop on the bandwagon to hate fl and believe all the negativity surrounding it. laidback luke uses it, Deadmau5 uses it, and they both make more money than you per year.
4 hours?? no wonder he has so many bootlegs
OMG The Face of Laidback Luke at 3:29 :O
@arseclown21

it shows that all this hardware people use isnt really needed to make great tracks today , big ups laidback luke

Seems like the camera guy isn't taking it seriously!?
@TheBlackWarehouse seriously he really a millionaire?

I cannot imagine that he masters his track with such headphones! maybe that's a joke
@BirdY101 you can't get the same quality out just with fl studio

@117DJAckson at the time it was posted they did. deadmau5 still does his drums in fl. but im done arguing with kids its pointless.
¿You see? You can do a professional song with FL. Only required work to do it and talent.
is this a joke?! i find it really hard to believe that LL can churn thos amazing tracks on that setup.....
as Garraud would put it,
"je suis choqué"
@TheBlackWarehouse just kidding man :))
they keep this to themselves because of this unprofessional image of fruity loops. Which has also probably alot something to do with the name: fruity loops. They should have moved farther away from it then FLstudio... :P

lol i find it funny how Joachim is laughing at how cheap laidback luke is! haha
@Headshet a fucking men. too many fl studio crappy 10 year old trance songs with horribly tuned hats.
