Thank you Karen. I enjoyed Over the River and Through the woods to Grandmother's House we go. We used to sing this in the station wagon, my parents, myself and my 5 brothers and sisters every year when visiting our Grand mothers on Christmas day.
Over the River...one of my elementary school favorite memories was learning to sing this song. You played the most beautiful arrangement I have ever heard. It was so good to see your face, give you a hug and meet your son on Saturday. I am so happy you are enjoying quality family time this holiday season.
@@jodydavie923 we had a wonderful weekend. Yesterday was the first time I had all my kids together this year. That in itself was a Christmas gift. 🦉🎄🎅🏼🎶
That has to be the best version of Over the River and Through the Woods I have ever heard! So lovely. And all that stitching in spite of having the kids home wow! Enjoy your family time my friend, until tomorrow!
@@connieschweitzer8163 I am so glad you liked the music. My son makes chain Mail so we chatted while we crafted or not much would have been accomplished. 🦉🧵🎅🏼🧑🏼🎄
Loved your Flossmas! The song is Over the River and Through the Woods, easily recognizable as I play that exact piece myself! Your stitching is beautiful! Enjoy time with your family!
@@TheStitchingOwl Well I don't know about that Karen as I will be 80 on Tuesday. I was sitting across from you at the October retreat so I don't know if you thought I was younger.😆
"Over the river and through the woods to grandmother's house we go"...I remember the Peanuts characters singing this song as they were all in the car going to grandmother's house. I believe it was the Thanksgiving episode.
I always felt a bit of jealousy to those who were able to go “over the River and through the woods” as I grew up in a big city and no grandmother’s houses to go to. My Father’s mom died when he was quite young and my other grandmother would have required a boat trip😲. So Christmas was a quiet day. But I wish everyone a busy family time as it the best thing about this season.
@@trudymeyer430 I do understand…I had grandmothers but no grandfathers and had a city life but heard stories of when my parents were small. Having all my kids together this weekend was incredibly special. My Christmas is mostly done now but not sad, just incredibly grateful. 🦉🎄🎶🎵
Beautiful stitching and music, thank you for sharing. Happy stitching.

@@stitchingscottie4505 thank you so much Dottie…lovely to have another pianist have fun with naming the melody. 🦉🎵🎶🎹
Oh the memories! My Grandma had a Baby Grand piano and used to play for us. ❤ I don't know what that piece was though. 😊

I can't believe I am stumped - music has been an important part of my entire life and I don't know that piece!!

I think there's a few other stitches of the new color added with the green "birds" too. Just FYI :)

Karen - there are some Pinot Noir in the birds - Caroline mentioned it on her flosstube so please check the pattern again.
