- It’s official. NFTs have exploded. Prompting a wild free for all on one side with numbers you can scarcely believe and deep and justified skepticism on the other. But the problem is most have only the most rudimentary understanding of what NFTs are and what they can do. So I set myself the goal of making the most comprehensive, wide-ranging NFT film ever, one that covered everything - art, music, fashion, defi and the metaverse. The greatest NFT film ever made. And I failed because there’s too much, it’s exploding out of every orifice blockchain has to offer. And there are many. There’s no way I can cover it all. Not without boring you rigid. But I hope that if you do make it to the end of this utter beast of a film you come out properly armed to dismiss or embrace them. So get comfortable as we shine a massive megawatt light on the maddest, baddest tokens in crypto.

Why has your film (at the time of viewing) only got 68k views??!!! This is content of the highest order with strong production values, insightful observations and humour. As a film maker myself in a past life, and professionally in the blockchain space over the past 6 years I can't praise this film enough. Looking forward to ANY content you put out in the future.

It’s a great video. The viewer count probably also shows that it is still only catering a to small elite of people interested in the subject. There are a lot of people not being interested in arts, AI or the web, other than using it in the most simplistic way

NFT Fact Check: CryptoPunks were the first Ethereum NFT's however Rare Pepes were the first community artist contribution NFT project on Bitcoin using XCP CounterParty. Also Tommy Wilson is technically the first Major League player to mint his own NFT's while they weren't necessarily game collectables but his own art. Great documentary! This is definitely the best thing I've seen on the topic so far. Thank you. I would like to see a more detailed conversation about the environmental impact, because I think that will become a much bigger story sooner than we might expect. It would be good to have a solid piece of content to refer people to when it comes up.
I just found your channel a few days ago. I'm so freakin excited. Thank you for the idea of high volume low cost nft's. I have an application in mind. I was an early adopter of btc. I've owned several bitcoin but have very little because I gave most of it away teaching people. Slap myself for not holding onto it but oh well. I nearly bought cryptopunks at $5 but didnt. Oh well. Wrote one of the first books on btc. Never did anything with it and now it's outdated. Oh well. And then when I saw nfts I thought they were stupid. That has changed. I see them as the way to solve some very big problems that I have been working on solving for 20 years. Thanks so much for this channel. I love it.

Hi Howard! I'm a musician just discovering NFT's since about 2 days ago. I want to post my music on TH-cam as my debut. At coffeehouse open mics, before the pandemic, I was shocked at how much people were liking my original music and the covers too. I'm very low budget commuting by bicycle etc... I'm wondering what your experience has been, now 1 month later, with NFT's. I'm one of those who always tries to look before I leap.

Another reality of our timed existence exploration the developing VR universe. At my age traveling to destinations to view great works of art is itself the experience. While this is not going away I ponder how long until this new VR universe evolves into the next dimension. Keep up the great work as alway great content from The Defiant.

I'm only half way through, but damn! I'm sorting through my "memory box" and some of the things are as old as I am. I want to keep some, but let go of others. My thought was to 3d scan objects (ipad lidar) before rehoming/trashing. That way I can still keep those memories, now virtual.

Question: That portion of the video concerning Lane 8 and Dillon Francis. How can Dillon Francis, make an NFT of somebody else's social media post and sell it for profit? That sounds kind of wild west no? Cause that's clearly (under normal circumstances) a copyright issue no? He's blatantly taking somebody else's material, not using it for any fair use, just literally making a profit off of it? Hmm, seems sketchy man. What's to stop people from just cutting/copy pasting some art somewhere that they didn't create, and selling it for yourself, before there's an NFT for it? Seems like a lot of scumbags could make a lot of money off this, and it really tarnishes the reputation for what these could be used for. Great video thus far though man, I've learned a lot.
