good video! i haven't built in years, zero build hooked me the day it came out lol. here and there i get interested in those pvp creative maps and while simple, this video has a lot of good tips for those learning to build or getting back into it!
Thank you so much dude this gave me so much confidence because I'm really good at boxfighting and I keep on dying in buildfights and i'm about to fall out of diamond and agian thank you so much
@@reidtheninja box fighting doesn’t attract third parties all the time, but build fighting just feels better. Like it feels fast paced, whilst when I’m box fighting I’m just sitting there, spraying at walls and making more peanut butter edits than mom’s sandwiches.
Makes no sense, of course no one is gonna freebuild in grands, the lobbies are unplayably laggy and they dont wanna waste mats, everyone still has good mechanics and can edit fast, all of them drop 30 bombs in qualifiers with good mechanics.
Of course that's true. I'm just pointing out that in one of the most intense situation of their careers, they are more comfortable box fighting than build fighting. (accounting for lag or not, if you're more comfortable build fighting, than not, you'd do that) and they chose not to
But a lot of people don’t know that. And you’re talking about GRANDS the biggest tournaments with the best of the best. You of which will not be in there same with most of this comment section. And there are build fight scenarios in grands
If I can add another tip in the realm of tip 4. Try to get into the habit of switching to your most plentiful hard mat and building the boxes out of that then switch back to wood when you start fighting to save the hards
Mechanics do still matter alot in making quick descisions and editing out of boxes and stuff. Im not saying that this is a bad video however and definently has a certain audience
they dont edit course in grands because it wastes mats and the lobbies are laggy and they would just get sprayed. also the boxing up strat and holding your wall doesn't always work as most good players have 0 -10 ping and can take your wall first try
I understand they shouldn't edit course, I just think it's a good testament to the strength of box fighting over build fighting. Especially in grands, it's not a good idea to waste mats, hence the box fighting. Lag or not, these are the top 100 pros in the region, and they are choosing specific fighting styles (which is mostly box fights). And they can take walls easy, which is why I specifically talk about creating more space!
Bro it’s grands no one ina a pro grands lobby will edit course in a laggy ass grands game if it’s ranked or a pub no good play is just camping in a box all game

@@reidtheninja in grands and finals u don’t see buildfights really I agree but to get there u def need to know how to build u can’t just sit in 4x4s and destroy everyone that comes knocking and those type of lobbies r so laggy build fighting is pointless but again to qualify to those rounds u need to master every aspect of this game and that’s just the truth there isn’t one pro that CANT build fight

Glad to hear I could help! Yeah box fighting gets a bad wrap, but it's the best way to fight tbh

I always used to think that I was awful at build fights and I should only practice them so this is really reassuring to know, thanks!

Good call! Hards for boxes, and wood for fighting/rotates/etc

I also wouldn't say it is easier. Grands has always been like this.
Mechanics do not matter at all compared to other skills
@@chefbenito1 you are gonna need some sort of mechs to tunnel, box fight, and make plays in general.
I agree. That's why I make sure to talk about going for edit peeks if you can, but also offered other options to those without good mechanics!
I watched this video and the trick to learning building video and they helped so much. New subscriber!
Glad to hear it man! I hope you stick around the community

That’s why I’m not great in tourneys. I have good mechs but my aim is not great, and I play on 60fps so it’s very lagy
Yeah I feel for you, I used to play 60 fps
my guy only just realised that comp building is completely different to creative
Obviously to creative, but the building is so much different than how comp was years ago. And builds haven't changed at all. It's cool
Used your code for caper and idk if getting the crew pack also supports creators
Thank you! I’m not sure either, I’ll go check

my tip is to stop replying to comments, that will just engage provocative people and waste your time (reply but not to all of them)
Good advice 😂 thank you
