Nice job on the oil change. Nice you're teaching Rhett so early. That's about the age I started to do oil changes. I agree to never use crescent wrenches on those drain plugs. They are always 1 1/8" no matter what the tractor, if they have the right plug. Shell Rotella T has always been a quality product. We would still be using it if Shell wasn't so bad to deal with here. You can use 30 year round in NC. We use 15W40 here due to our more variable climate.
Can you do a video on how to properly change the transmission fluid and side pto belt pulley fluid on a 140 and how properly fill them since the manual isn’t clear because it says 4 qts ir 5 qts with a side pulley and I’m confused as to how you would get the extra qt in it by using the check plug on the side thanks for all your knowledge in your videos
Someone springs for the expensive quarts! I just buy it all in jugs and pour from the either 4-- quart jugs depending on the type and brand of oil. Much cheaper that way usually.
@@farmall51 yea I just used up a 2.5 gallon just of travler 15w40 sometimes last year. Ordered a case of gallons this last time cause it was the best price per quart that way.
@@farmall51 Cold thick oil treatment, at 15 I worked for a dirt track racer said to only add that to a running warm engine to prevent plugging the oil pump screen
You don't need to keep wiping that dipstick? Just put it in and add the oil. The oil will just come up on the dip stick when you pull it out that's the level . Unless you have started it there isn't a reason to keep wiping. But I know everyone has their methods for things.

I enjoy oil change videos Rhett did a great job for his first time changing the oil.
It’s good to see this tractor back running again. This is good stuff to know. Great video!
Thanks 👍
Rhett, good job young man.
Spending time with your child, well done Dad.
I wish more fathers wanted to be Dads. 🙂🏆
Just an add, I own two cubs, two longs, a Ford 200 gas, JD M, and bought a 140 w/cultivators & 1 point today.
It's Glyptal. I got it from Eastwood. What you're doing, he will always remember it. Rhett is already miles ahead of the other kids.
Good Job Rhett ! Now tell dad to get you one of those spin on oil filter adapters.
lol they are pricey at steiners . I may get one here soon.
Nice work its nice to see kids into tractors
Really enjoying these videos new subscriber here!
Thanks for watching
Good job Rhett!!
I didn't know the the oil fill location changed on these. On my 100 and Super C oil is filled from the top through the crankcase breather cap.
Yeah I guess they thought it would be better to have it t in a better accessible place

In one of the videos I change the transmission fluid in this tractor. It should be 2 or 4 behind this one.
Nothing like fresh oil 😁 Ron better hurry up he's slacking!
Will you have this 140 on Saturday or the other one

I do keep it in the 2.5 gallon jugs on the shelf .

I was zeroed in on your every word and action until the cold thick gobble-d-goop when into a cold engine, no no!
gobble-d-goop ?

I see other people also use those Free Stihl screwdrivers 🪛 for their intended purpose! 😂😂🤣🤣
