if you haven’t alr watched weight lifting fairy kim bok joo it’s worth a watch, the chemistry and humour is just as good as business proposal if not more, one of my fav romcoms to this day !

other romance recommendations:
- twinkling watermelon: very heartwarming, oddly felt nostalgic on my first watch, the cast is amazing.
- the good bad mother: my fav drama of 2023, i think it has a bit of everything from romance to thriller, action and comedy. the cast as well for this was chefs kiss
- 2521: this was released before twinkling watermelon and i find these to have a similar vibe, there’s something about late 1900s south korea. i need to stop talking about the cast but come on nam joo hyuk and kim taeri? the combo was elite.
- strong woman do bong soon: unlike its failed sequel, the chemistry between the main leads is sooo good, one of my top ones with weightlifting fairy and business proposal.
- my demon: it hasn’t finished yet but i wait every friday and saturday for this and the chemistry is definitely there (however im not a big fan of the pacing atm)
+ i don’t really comment on these videos but i love love love your reactions (& on the main channel too) and very much appreciate you putting these out whilst being sick ^^

idk if i’d call strong woman nam soon a failed sequel, it was more of a spin off and it was good so i’m confused why you think the main characters from that didn’t have chemistry, but then again i think i can assume who you were rooting for if that’s the case which…

"My Demon" is a great next option btw, the plot is interesting and it has a lot of drama but also a lot of funny moments, and it is very beautiful! "The Glory" is definitely very, very good, but yeah, it's mainly dark and heavy, you have to be in a mood for it

I think you would love Extraordinary Attorney Woo, it doesnt focus on romance and the lead is just so endearing. You can't help but root for her! Plus the show is just goodt! Would love to see your reaction! Hope you are feeling better!
omg yes she would fall in love with every character & the romance is done right in Attorney Woo not too much not too little just perfect & the cases are so interesting.

If you wanna keep doing these rom-com lighthearted kdrama I really recommend 'king the land' (starring Junho from 2PM and Yoona from Girls generation) and 'my demon' is stunning also.

It’s been so fun seeing your reaction to The Business Proposal! I’ve been a silent watcher for a few of the kdramas you’ve gone through - Do Bong Soon and Minhyuk are still my favorite couple to this day (but I digress.)
One drama I’d LOVE to see you experience is called The Girl Who Sees Smells (it also gets title as Sensory Couple, depending on where you watch it) but it’s very good and has a bit of everything - just a warning, the actor who plays the “villain” does almost too good of a job selling his character. My best friend refused to watch his other works for a while because he’s such a phenomenal actor. Again, I digress.
Some other shows I think you’d enjoy, which I don’t see much of anyone reacting to and I think you’d enjoy, would be “Oh My Ghostess” (with the actress who plays Do Bong Soon herself - a queen lol), “Another Oh Hae Young”, “Cinderella and Four Knights”, “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-Joo”, “Suspicious Partner” (too good), “Fight My Way”, “Tale of the Nine-Tailed”, “Beauty Inside”, “Rain or Shine” (VERY emotional, just a warning), and “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim?” All are absolutely incredible. And, if you’re feeling adventurous, try out “Father is Strange” - is a LONG one, but the emotional payout is more than worth it in my opinion.

Twinkling watermelon- def watch this at some point. Reaction would be sick but if not you musttttt see it on your own time. It’s lighthearted and fun but also has a dead main character and another main character who is the son of two deaf parents, it’s super different imo for a kdrama but probably honestly the best kdrama of 2023, and many people would agree with me. Plus, the main characters best friend (yeongseo) is in it as a main character too!! She’s super good in it and I think you’d love it.
Also if you want a classic rec, reply 1988 is actually the best kdrama ever. It’s so true to Korean culture in the 80s & 90s and bro it’s so heartwarming you’ll feel like you lost a part of your family once it’s over. 100% worth the watch. And ofc I’m sure you’ve heard of strong woman do bong soon, the classic comedy with dark element with the best couple in kdrama ever to exist. Imo no one is a better couple than them & fun fact they both liked each other while filming too lol

My next suggestion would be Twinkling Watermelon, the best drama of 2023 to me,, the actors' skills and chemistry are soo good, its not as light-hearted as business proposal,, a touch of family conflicts, loads of comedy, romance, musical journey, and also included a deaf/mute characters
Two recommendations I have that I personally think are really good are twinkling watermelon and 2521, both have this really nice youth and warmth vibe to them. And they both definitely have their emotional parts

I recommend nevertheless, my demon and twinkling watermelon. They are a MUST to binge on for sure! Also sweet home is really good too but it's last season is still ongoing shooting. PS: Yes, except twinkling watermelon all of them have song kang and yes I LOVE HIS ACTINGGGGGG❗

hi Caitlin, glad you enjoyed this series! I enjoyed rewatching it with you^^ if you want to see male lead (Ahn Hyoseop) play a more complex role, you should give Dr. Romantic Season 2 (season 1 focuses on different story) a try. He plays a troubled surgeon overcoming many difficult moments.

Our Beloved Summer is a Romance Comedy drama the couple first starred in movie The Witch:Subversion where they ki77 eachother, idont know how to explain this but its such a comfort story its warm

business proposal was really a breath of fresh air. i'm telling you i was watching a lot of action/mystery series, then this dropped with sejeong and hyeoseop who i love a lot, and it was perfect. everyone talked bad about it when the photos and teasers dropped, but when it started everyone just love it. also, this was the first time i loved the main leads + second leads equally. like usually i prefer one more, yet with this, i loved everyone.
also, you should really listen to some of sejeong's songs. she also had her own version of "love, maybe" which is one of the osts. it was also played while taemoo was proposing. sejeong's really a talented idol (yes, i promoting my girl here!) and a very versatile actress.
also, my demon is good. i've been watching it, but wasn't done yet. you can watch it on your own. the glory's really dark, like main characters song hyekyo and shin yeeun were actually traumatized of their characters. it was that dark that they were a bit disturbed, like yeeun couldn't even sleep without an earmuffs because she got scared. while hyekyo had difficulties with the scenes she shot.
if you'd want a bit relaxing, you should watch extraordinary atty. woo first, it's really cute, and funny. even my mom loved it, like she watched every single episode. it was very bright, and you'd love atty. woo all in all.

idk if anyone said it yet, but the scene of Grandfather boasting about fishing to Hari is extra funny cos the actual actor, Lee Deok Hwa, is a regular of another fishing variety programme and known to be good at it. So he's pretty much a fishing pro, and those pics of him with his catch are probably his real ones 😂😂

I think Attorney Woo is good if you want something wholesome, the Glory if you want revenge, Moving if you want hero action and good storytelling, King the Land if you want a similar romcom like Business Proposal. I won’t recommend My Demon yet bc it hasn’t finished and will only recommend it if it sticks the landing.

Hii Caitlin! I really enjoyed watching you react to this kdrama it is also one of my faves. I thought I’d list out some more that I really enjoyed that I think you might enjoy. Snowdrop - THIS MADE ME CRYYYYY but honestly my all time favourite kdrama and also Jisoo from Blackpink is the female lead. Crash landing on you - a very popular one AND THE MAIN LEADS ARE DATING IRL WHICH MAKES IT EVEN MORE CUTE. sweet home - monster related, not romance based but honestly so good and it has the male lead from my demon and he plays such a different role in this one. All of us are dead - this is a zombie apocalypse type of kdrama but there is some romance there too and there will be a S2 coming I can’t wait for it. My name - this only has 8 episodes but I loved it soo much she basically works for the mafia but also for the police and it’s kinda dark but I had to rewatch it because I loved it so much 💓💓
