A little stream has always been there. Long before the hotel and park the boy scouts would camp there and that stream was a good spot for fresh water. Now hotel has deep injection sewage system. Bye bye pristine spring
You two are great! You provide soooo much invaluable information about the Big Island, it's terrific! Thanks so much for sharing. My wife and I know this beach well and it's amazing what you showed us. Thanks again!!!!
Hello, thanks for keeping us posted on the weather... parts of Kauai had quite a storm a few weeks ago as well. For a future video, if you could go to the Mauna Kea Hotel and get a representative of the hotel to talk to you and describe the $200 million renovation going on, that would be really interesting. I hear it will be on par with the best hotels on the Island after the renovations
Thank you for your informative videos as always. We didn’t realize the cow & goat waste washes up on the beaches. Tuesday at Anaeho’omalu Beach we were surprised to see massive amounts of goat poop washed up there too
I lived there for years, and we would get occasional flooding. Water will change landscape. I also grew up in Sunset Beach, California, and we had to have the beach dredged to save our houses. Kawaihae harbor had damage, too. I'm glad you fixed the spelling.
You realize this is how it was supposed to be? The land is supposed to have multiple river mouths to hold the waterfall - Waimea is a watershed that funnels all the water & feeds it to Kawaihae ( Every island has a Waimea, every Waimea has over abundance of water/rainfall) You’ve never seen it because you’re to new to the aina & Hawaii. 15yrs won’t teach you how the land should look. Ask any old timer or Native. This is nothing new, it’s about to become more & more consistent.
you obviously know nothing about these people. And who they are. And what their channel represents. They live here, and do more for the community than most Hawaiians.
My wife and I just got home from your sacred Big Island. We came humbled and respectful. We had hoped we could talk to local people that have made this their home for generations. It didn't happen as we did try. We're not all bad. Mahalo for letting us come there.

Wow! I can’t believe how over developed the hotel situation is. We used to go to Puako Bay instead but they over developed that area too! 😢

I love that the drone has it own soundtrack

Yep there's an underground river as well

Thanks you guys!! Fun and you both are fun and sweet!! Love it! Thank you!
Aloha
Welcome to Hawaii no surprise
We were just there last week. So sorry to see the damage. Hopefully it will clear up and things will return to normal.
Well, the positive side is that you don’t have to worry about wildfires right now….look at me….the positivity 🤙
I doubt it's gonna take a month to clear up
Can confirm. 3 days ago still murky and brown.
H-a-p-u-n-a...
Just a typo. They know . They are very respectful people
The beach is closed but they let you down there?
they snuck in ciz all haoles like them fell entitled to what their forefathers of America stole...thus video us evidence ti get them a DLNR ticket
Sounds more like a WHO'S POO NA BEACH
Hupuna or Hapuna?
Right first you need to know the right word and spelling
Ha, NOT Hu.
Can a non resident of hawaii visit waimanu valley as long as they are with someone who is a resident?
*Hapuna.
I was there a few days ago. Water is still brown and murky. Totally sucks for the eco system. But that's nature. I guess
Hapuna
This isn’t unusual. It happened while we were there years ago. Next.
If the park is closed why are you there??
Correct your spelling, it’s not Hupuna.
What about the hotel guests?
Not a good time to go hiking.
NOPE YOURE WRONG AND CLEARLY ARENT FROM THIS AREA !!! this has always been here !!! its a river bed ….
I feel bad for those people that are staying at that hotel and not have a beach
Nothing is new. It’s always been there.
Go home. 😤🤬
you obviously know nothing about these people. And who they are. And what their channel represents. They live here, and do more for the community than most Hawaiians.
The park is closed go back to the mainland disrespecting outsiders
I agree go back home
Why so harsh. They live here.
No need to be mean.

Which Troop used to camp there? Lived here all my life and used to frequent Hapuna and never saw it like this even with all our past floods.
Must have been way back in the day...we used to camp down there high school days in the mid 80s... illegally!
