This looks absolutely silly. I'm immediately throwing it into LIVE and trying it. Normally I'd be upset about manually entering a deck list, but this one won't be too hard.
Tried this deck and it is so funny and strangely good. A lot of decks sometimes cannot handle you rushing at them from turn 1. I've beat Dragapult, Lugia, Lost Box etc with the exact same list.
@@ProphecyPhrase I've beat a lot of stuff with it. I've seena lot of concedes. I've also just seen Mimikyu reach the active and think "well, this is it." Unless there's enough Boss targets, it doesn't happen. Maybe a 1 of Canceling Cologne.
The last successful Quad deck we had was Pheramosa and Buzzwole Tag Team. This new deck reminds me a lot of Quad Rayquaza EX decks with its built in energy acceleration from all the way back in BW, Dragon's Exalted. Bug Catching Letter is an incredibly nice card for this deck and really nice support for energy heavy Grass decks (though we haven't had one of those in quite awhile outside of Quad decks)
Oh man, I have not thought about that Rayquaza in such a long time. It used to be such a menace, too! I was rocking Garchomp/Altaria at that time I still miss that deck!
@@KupoPotion Bought 4 tins of the man just so I could not only add it to a Zeck-Eels deck, but also play Speedquaza online. Like the only fun I've ever had on those janky and random official simulators
This actually is a pretty consistent deck, with some tweaks. I run 2 heavy balls and no penny, instead I have 4 energy switch. It comes in clutch when I need to 1 hit OK heavy HP Pokémon
I'd totally try this with minus one energy plus one radiant greninja. It won't change the prize map unless iron hands gets involved but helps dig for those key supporters
I would do hero’s cape as the ace spec and radiant ninja for another target plus draw power I’d add 2 cancelling cologne for mimikyi and ogerpon/thorns matchups energy retrieval 1 superior retrieval 1 ultra ball do search as needed
There was a fairly good "Quad" Metagross Vmax deck (Of course it had 4 metagross V, but it was only the 8 pokemon. 4 basics V's, and 4 stage 1 vmaxes), and I really enjoyed it at the time. It just had a ton of healing items, and you'd usually only try and have one metagross Vmax out at a time. It could be powered up really easily too, since it used colorless energy and was a Single Strike pokemon, it had Single Strike energy, which could also be discarded easily for healing with a hyper potion. And it was just bulky and hard to ko, since even weakness wasn't too big an issue with coating metal energy.
I'm just thinking how amazing Iron Leaves ex and Thorton would do in this deck. If there's a Teal Mask Ogerpon in the discard pile and the other 3 on the field with various amounts of grass energy on them, you can play Iron Leaves to the bench and the switch to the active and move all the grass energy to it. Then play thorton to switch out the Iron Leaves with the Ogerpon in the discard pile.
Thinking about Legacy Energy in a build rather that Scoop Up Cyclone because it lets you use all four Ogrepon in a match by saving that one prize, and it still technically powers up Myriad Leaf Shower.
I may have to try this paired with leafeon v-star. The extra acceleration turn 1 with greening cells and the extra boss option could prove a lethal combo
1:33 I have a question about Judge Pull. Why doesn't the judge just grab the player's deck and flip through it? Why give the pulled player's opponent all that information?
I played this deck with 30 energy in day 1, then switch to 28 energy with giovanini's chrisma & energy switch for first turn go second KO basic pokemon.
Ah quad decks, seeing this brings back good memories of playing Quad Sylveon GX. Was it warcrime? Possibly but man if it wasn't one of my favorite decks if all times.
Played the deck on PTCGL with this deck a bit, I haven’t laughed this hard with this game in a while. Most people don’t realize the stupidity of the deck they’re facing, and won’t adapt to it in time. I can only imagine their faces when using Eri on a 12 card hand only to see that my hand consists of 11 energy and a Penny
Ogerpon ex is best by amount of energy attach to both active pokemon, but somehow prone to having too much energy on your hand without any trainer cards to support the deck. In addition, aside from weak to fire, dragapult ex can put damage counters on each opponents bench pokemon without tools equipped and other cards with high damage output
This looks silly, and since it's the battle pass deck in live right now we're going to see a LOT of it. I think some Radiant Charizard splashes may help, since very little viable in the metagame right now will hit this deck for weakness. I think its big problem is the same as quad tera and kyurem: bricking the opening hand due to whiffing on only 8-10 search cards. This is why quad terakion was made famous by someone famous for playing with marked decks, and the first thing I thought with this is: "is this just another stupid quad deck being played by another cheater?" This looks like it has something, but I'm not sure if it has enough. With only one opening Ogerpon, you don't really thin your deck that quickly; you pull one extra card, that's it. With only 9 search cards and a draw 2, you could be looking at multiple turns staring down just your singleton Ogerpon. The problem is I don't even know what I'd change to make this work more consistently. I know it's probably been AI goldfished to shit already so it may just be as good as it gets? Dunno. I'm still just staring at it knowing the odds and thinking there's no way this has better than 50% against anything, because this probably has something like a 35% brick rate. I mean hell you're not even running iono so you're almost guaranteeing your opponent a god draw.
I trimmed the energy down to 33, and added 3 Energy Switch. You have no idea how important that is to snipe KOs, especially when attacking with your second Ogerpon. Edit: TH-cam recommended me a variant that added in a H-Liligant VSTAR. And I might end up using it.
@@ryleyos4250 I added in a 1-1 H-Lilligant VSTAR, but would like a way to search it out. Would you suggest Capturing Aroma, Ultra Ball, Ciphermaniac’s Codebreaking, Larry, or Mesagoza? I’m leaning Cipher, since you can top deck the Bug Catcher Item and then put Lilligant underneath it.
I feel like you could make a less gimmicky deck with the same concept. you don’t even need to just run 4 Pokémon. Wouldn’t a control deck just ruin this?

@munchrai6396 Yeah, same here it definitely was an amazing era/meta to have been a part of.

Ptcgradio, I love your channel so much, I just had to subscribe!

yeah, buttttttttttttt its less funny sooooooo
This is where you start greninja cant find ogerpon and lose. Definitely worth testing but may not actually help enough.
This is bad cause u just auto lose snorlax
Tested Greninja. Not worth it. But a couple Energy Switch, and either a Pal Pad or Hand Trimmer, were fine.
Ditto could work too. To help guarantee an ogerpon

11:30 for decklist
I made this deck on Live, and my first opponent must be pretty ticked, cause I didn't mulligan the first game XD

Loved to play this

I played this recently, and on my second match, I ran into fluttermane, with mimikyu on the bench.
There are also Iron thorns ex decks
I saw this list online and it made me want to play pokemon tcg again, it looks so silly but fun
I play Quad Iron Thorns. Can someone explain the judge pulls rule for when someone mullingans too many times. Thank you.
7 mulls then judge does a regular mull for you. If that whiffs you get a baby mull
Quad BuzzMosa was my favorite deck
What about a sneaky 1 copy of "Hand Trimmer" to remove a lot of those mulliganned cards. Hehe
I replaced 2 grass for canceling cologne. Just in case of mimikyu or cornerstone.
Thinking about Legacy Energy in a build rather that Scoop Up Cyclone because it lets you use all four Ogrepon in a match by saving that one prize, and it still technically powers up Myriad Leaf Shower.
I'm adding in 2 Ditto to help with the mulligans

I mean boss helps, but if someone just sets down a mimikyu, it’s kind of over

I’m running into this deck on tv live ladder so much the last two days. I’m glad because I haven’t loaded to it yet haha.
Yeah it's actually fucking bad and like most quad decks there's probably more going on with its one major win
Man, it sure would be fun to play Ogerpon! Lemme just buy a couple… it can’t be that expensive!
12$ each

I actually did this with Gholdengo before TM set. So much fun
while it seemingly isnt really well mentioned the bug set can also (with some luck) net you another ogerpon.
Maybe a Alolan Exeggutor V for a 5 energy boost on a toss ?

Edit: Wossy reported on it November 17, 2019.

I love this deck, I gave it a try on live and its super fun
Sometimes the simplest version of a deck is the most effective 😅
Ogerpon is overrated as a card in general I dont expect the card to do much but maybe one lucky top cut at a regional
Its not even THAT good with raging bolt either
Can't wait to see this deck going against a 0 energy deck me and a friend of mine are making

Yes! I did the same. 32. 2 energy switch, 2 ditto
@@ryleyos4250Ditto’s a good idea! More consistency, less mulligan. However, with Erika and the new item, if it’s not banished it’s Snorlax bait.
@@LocalMaple So true... no decent way around that with no consistent way to discard it... Would have to boss the switch out or splup for days

Imagine if scoop up net wasn't banned in expanded this would be insane
If this becomes popular on PTCGL my Heatran Vmax is gonna feast.
Maybe I should try Magic instead
I played against a raging bolt build that was super obnoxious so annoying
Drawing can make or break you, I still wreck with drawing to the lost zone. Any wrong move though.... I'm done for
Ima need to trade and open for the ogerpons😢
The deck is wild 😂

What about Mimikyu?
You shake their hand. Play round 2, and hope they can't get it to in time.
The only thing you need to stop it is one copy of mimikyu tho😂
i played quad lapres gx
I challenge this deck with my mimikyu
In what tournament in Japan did this win at? I.... didn't watch the whole whole video but just curious!
Too much Mulligans? well I got the perfect card
*HAND TRIMMER*
I’m gonna play it
It’s an MTG deck in Pokemon TCG!!!!!
I'm so playing this
Can we call this deck OnlyPons, please?
For me, I would remove one grass energy for canceling cologne for matches like iron thorns ex. It could help, but maybe not.
Also since we have so many energy, why not add the stadium Cycling Road?
Not good vs Raging Bolt ex
Nice meme deck but nothing more
MEME deck FTW
HAHA, just played this on TCG Live and won! Going to play this for a while. Only 2 mulligans.
All good until you face a decent player ngl 😂
