I'll tell you guys, when I was a kid, my brother and I save some money to be able buying this game, and I remember when I watched this video for first time y was just amazed from the skill of this players. I got that nostalgic memories when I watch this again, and it's beautiful!
Their leg choice alone belies their combat preferences. Player 1 on the left equipped medium biped legs, indicating that he prefers maneuvering on the X/Z plane, as opposed to Player 2 on the right who equipped reverse joint legs, which are more suited to quickly changing altitude. I think Spock said it best: "His pattern indicates two dimensional thinking." From what I see, Player 2 drew Player 1 into an aerial contest that he simply wasn't as equipped to handle, so he was handicapped.
I would have summerized completely in the last comment, but there is a character cap, and there is a point here that needs to be shared. Reverse joint legs, being optimized for aerial combat, tend to be more energy efficient than biped legs. This allowed Player 2 to equip a slightly more powerful booster for the same power drain as player one, effectively equalizing the playing field in terms of X/Z movement while being a faster climber. Thus, Player 2 was able to dodge more shots.
I think the guy who lost lost because he used rockets. They're powerful when they hit, but when the enemy moves like that, they're practically useless.
Japanese always abuse the best AC setups in tournaments; that is why you see both of their designs are virtually equal. Those ACs are far from sucking balls. Maybe in terms of lameness but not in terms of competitiveness.
It really comes down to spamming rifle shots and having some of them hit or trying to get up close with a variety of other weapons and having next to none of them hit because the rifler is always outranging you or has a bigger lockbox than you. MG500 is great for outdamaging the other guy, but staying close is the problem. Anything with a SP or ND lock would fail in this tourney cause of hard mode. Saying rifles suck cause they are cheap in the shop is a classic single player noob reason btw.
the reason they didn't do so good on getting behind each other is because once one of them did overboost the other would also do it to keep up and i'm pretty sure they have good en output they regain energy quicky how else are they able to overboost that many times i use a lightweight ac with sniper rifles
@Nameless92145 Remember that this is hard mode so the SP lockboxes are too small to deal with SL's fast paced broad motion OBing. RF160 is know for being more accurate and having a WS box, including more total killpower, which helps since SL fights usually end in a time out with the way these guys play. RF150 is still good but RF160 is basically better.
they do use short burst but every once in a while the overboost for a while and only the one on the left has heat problems the one on the right was smart with the parts he chose and i use light sniper rifles on both arms and rockets on the back sometimes i use a rapid laser rifle on the right and a med. weight sniper on the left also i always use a standard core and have a R arm pistol as a hanger and a laser blade for L hanger
what kind of ac do you normally use and those moves are usually used to dodge and get behind the enemy and even though they would waste energy it looks like they have a high en output so they regain energy quickly
Haha. Who the hell uses single player references to analyze an AC's multiplayer metagame. That fact alone makes all your arguments complete and utter garbage, but I'll continue to indulge myself. Silent Line is a very defensive oriented game. Its fast paced nature and lower weapon accuracies result in that. Rifles have easy spamability and don't really affect your lockbox. Meaning you can play defensive all day and chip AP the whole match. Why dont you stop playing AI and step up, friend.
really i don't have silent line but i've played it at my friends and it is better i play formula front oh well we can never truly know if you can beat them until you fight them but i doubt that will happen thanks for the conversation i was getting really bored until now
And that incorect comment sounds just as noob. Almost every other weapon in the game is superior to normal rifles. thats why u start out with rifles and there so cheap in the store. Maybe use them if you like takeing all day to kill someone but the best defence is a good offense. Trust me if anyone here knows what there talking about its me.
with or with out opI i would have won that match against any of them in less than a minute. and whats wrong?? they are afraid of fighting up close? yes they rather OB around the place and wast ammo. LOL

I've been searching years for another reverse joint appreciator
reverse joint supremacy man!
2020, still awesome.
Man lets have a pvp sometime
2023 will be even more awesome!
Gosh I love armored core, I used to obsessively play these games in middle school. Nothing like it.
Glory days. Two rifles and an OB core.

i love reversed joint legs haha i remember having my ac with those legs all the time

Filmed with a mesh lined potato

Guy on the right is so good. Total control.
Wish I could go back wish I could go back now....
Wish this video was in Hi Def.
Yeah same here
wow they took customization to a whole new level...

I really want to the know the parts player two has equipped, considering the fact he was OB'ing the entire match
This is what a top Raven pillots like. Nineball would shiver in comparison
Human + [AC2 - AA] and OP-INTENSIFY [AC3 - SL] had always been banned from tournament play.
Wow these guys move like no tommorow! I who only play armored core from phone can only dream to have total movement control that these guys have
that's possible but i'm not too familiar with op-intesify
besides the fact that you can use back unit guns with out kneeling
Armored Core was always as fast as For Answer if you know what you're doing :p
And I'm talking PS1 era here! Man, the good old days when PS1 was the shit! What has video gaming come to thesedays?

It ain't cheap when both of you are using the same thing. XD
those players would rip your opi ass to shreds lol

2023 STILL AWESOME
What's the winner's AC specs?
accually if the players are good enough then they should be able to dodge the deadly attacks and then quick attck the heavy ac
and eventually win
what kind of ac do you normally use
and those moves are usually used to dodge and get behind the enemy
and even though they would waste energy
it looks like they have a high en output so they regain energy quickly
2022, still awesome!
what the hell are you guys talking about [no dissrespect]
Yep it was!
I love this game!
it is in both nexus and SL
i played a demo once
but i think the older armored core games are better
@xArmoredCorex pues como de que no
Much more cooler than VI btw
yea i didnt notice that
u know whats messed up i have this game and it sucks. but it looks amazing here. is only in multiplayer it's that good or...?

Man even 12 years ago pricks like you existed, that’s just sad
really

QUE AY QUE ASER PARA GANARDINERO ALGUIN POR FABOR RESPONDA
Quality is real bad
Still more quality than tiktok and shorts
Bro, these were VHS rips converted into mpeg from 16 years ago.
My eyes
please explain
game does not suck
why cant the new ac games be like this?
They are noob as hell! Why are both of them using rifles? This aint AC4.

skilled AC pilots... but for me AC OB type AC is weak... zzzzZZZzzz too long battle match tsk tsk.
OP-I ruins the design, most people don't allow it and consider it as cheating.
Overboost is overated lol.
with or with out opI i would have won that match against any of them in less than a minute. and whats wrong?? they are afraid of fighting up close? yes they rather OB around the place and wast ammo. LOL
lol looks stupid, jumping around like that, reminds me of call of duty multiplayer
If you don't, you die.
