Hi there...Soon to start the conversion of my brand new Promaster 3500 Ext...You're doing a great job...I've been following all winter and I'm now ready to go at it...Thanx
I was following your entire build series. I had a bunch of the van completely based off everything you did before in some of the other builds. I was making great progress for a while and was on pace to complete it in 2 months but then things slowed down when I got to the cabinet making. I decided to make everything as it was custom enough to warrant a custom setup. I was ahead but just now you passed me up. Great job! Love the videos. Keep them up!
Thank you. No all the screws are screwed through the ship lap into the wood framing behind it with 2 1/2” screws. Each cabinet covers a min of two studs behind it. I also drive one or two screws into the wood framing on the ceiling.
@@KwokFaiKennethLaw even though I filled all the screw holes on the ship lap, If you look closely you can easily see where they are. That’s where the studs are.
I see you purchased your pre made cabinets from HD in Ssnta Ana. Can you share the item numbers please. I would like to get them from there instead of ikea as well. I'm building out a pro master 3500 ext, and I am really enjoying watching your talents. Wish I could afford to purchase a build from you but unfortunately I am having to do as much as possible on my own. Than you for being so kind and sharing your tips and ideas!!! You ROCK!!!
What is the depth of your cabinets? I believe the a average kitchen cabinets are 24 to 25" deep and was wondering if that takes too much room in van? Also I see you attached cabinets to the bed, each other and the back., do you also attach to the floor? Especially the 36" one that extends past walls into the slider. Thanks for your great videos!!!😊

Very cool hope the videos have helped
@@BuildingVanLife for the framing, subfloor, shelves, solar panel, wiring, and a bunch other they were gold!
Nice job bro !!! I'm from Canada and sarting my van too...PM 3500ext ! You're a good reference for me. Cheers
Glad the videos help thanks
Do you use 120v switch for 12v wire? Do you have the link for those two small switches. They look really nice!
You have to use a DC specific switch. AC does not have the spacing or amperage rating
Quality video! Just want to ask if you just screw the overhead cabinet into the shiplap or do you have some sort of frame behind to screw into?

@@BuildingVanLife Thank you for replying! It may sound stupid but how do we find out where the frame is once we installed the wall?

@@BuildingVanLife oh right that makes so much sense haha
Looking great as always. It appears that you can not order those cabinets online, only in the store.
Yeh I think in store. You don’t need to use those specific cabinets though. The concept will be the same with any other cabinets
@@BuildingVanLife But I like those. They look nicer than what I have in my house. Ha Ha.
What kind of saw did you use to cut off the shiplap before placing the cabinet?
i use this dremel with flat saw blades amzn.to/4f0tJ5V
What crown molding did you use and where did you get it? I followed your build and I’m now stuck at the crown molding process thanks
It’s just crown molding from Home Depot. You can use any crown molding that will cover the gap in your wall
Where did you get the cabinets? I’d love to order and just put together rather than build from scratch - love these videos!
They are from hd supply in Santa Ana. I don’t think they sell them online.
@@BuildingVanLife ok cool. I’m not too far. I know some people do ikea too
@@katekaos if you are nearby I would definitely do these over ikea. These are much much better quality
