Hint? After you've cut your first tube to dimension, simply lay that on top of the next tube to cut. Fingers on the edge to line them up. Butt the cut tube against the cutting wheel, clamp and chop. Only need to measure once.
IF you're doing say 10 tubes or whatever though - always use the first cut tube as a guide!

The box section is all the same width so the sandpaper is to allow a small gap each side after the plates are welded on. Just enough for the middle box section to slide up and down without being too tight.

Why wouldn't you just cut the channel with the saw you used? Why do it with a grinder if you have a chopsaw

due to spring-back, do you allow a little over 90* in the bend, so when it comes back it is AT 90*?
I would have thought you would elevate the outside of the angle iron when welding, to give an acute angle of about 88*, to allow for 2* or so spring-back.
Has ANYONE done any measurements to account for this phenomena?
