  • Completing my first solo camping trip in the Kayak I travel up the Noosa River for 3 days. The target species for the trip is the Australian Bass. This is the first time for me fishing for Bass and even manage to land my first one. It was a great trip in some amazing country, I will be back!

    Great video. What depths were you retrieving your lures at? I have some jackall chubbys 0.5m to 1.0m and 1.5 to 2.0 metre and not really sure which ones to take with me when I head up there. Did you end up using any soft plastics?

      Hey mate thanks for the feedback. I manly caught mine close to the rivers edge. At a guess around 0.5-1.0m. Defiantly deeper areas though. I took soft plastics bit didnt end up using them. Let me know how you get on, a great spot!

    Good start to your Bass fishing addiction. Be warned, once you get one on surface you will never want to tie on another diver!

    • @LiquidAntler
      @LiquidAntler  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yea thats my plan now to target them on the surface!

    • @BlackshacksBushcraft
      @BlackshacksBushcraft 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Warmer weather is better for the surface action I find. Just about every bass I got on my last trip (was in a September from memory) was a surface bite, or very close to it.

    If you're after some constructive criticism from a viewers perspective, learn how to handle the fish but also how to present the fish to your viewers. Beautiful native species. Once you learn how to handle them, the level of respect for the fish becomes more intense and your viewers gain a much better perspective of the fish caught. And, some fish will even give you a bit of a send off with a little splash from the tail. Its their way of saying "Thanks mate, now leave me alone ya bastard" Great vid though, already on your way to providing great content.

    G’ day, to you. Really enjoyed your trip up noosa. I see you do other hunting trips too I must give them a watch soon. I’ve just moved over from the uk in January this year. Moved to Queensland awesome place. I’m an hour away from Noosa, what a stunning place. Just wondering where you are from? I’m wanting to get into fishing and hunting too. I was wondering if you could help me in any way or if I could tag along with you and show me how it’s done. Well keep up with the good vids. Thanks for taking time out and reading my msg and hope to hear from you soon. Kind regards Ian Howard. 👍

    Hey buddy, I'm keen on doing this. Not sure how I would go abouts booking camp sites. What website do I go to to make bookings? Tia

      Hey mate just Google queensland parks camping. Go to the first link and click on book online. Then you want to look for the upper Noosa campsites. There are a few maps online to help you decide where you want to stay. It's a great place to explore!

    Heading back up there myself soon. Stunning place. This trip will be a 4 day solo but my previous trip was 4 days with a mate. We stayed camp 1, then 9, and then 4 on the way back. I'll be spending 3 nights at one campsite this time around. Enjoyed your video. Thanks. 😁
