Beat recent example for me is the whole terramorph UC quest in starfield. It literally involves every faction, goes deep into the lore, actual good twists, and has a Villain that presents you with morally dubious decisions. Wtf was the main story
Yea I wish they would all go back to that. I spend more time listening to their videos than watching at work. When they just suddenly end, it is a little jarring. Like having a conversation with someone and they just suddenly walk away without even saying a goodbye. Also, I miss that little theme song they use to have at the beginning of every video, too. I can still hear it in my head. It has made much of their recent content feel like all script and no passion. (Jules not included)
Dead or alive was always a boobie simulator, The reason why DOA dies was because they tried to get rid of it in exchange for e-sports and microtransaction money.
Rockstar CEO: We saw another company make the decision to turn their games more realistic by selling their cars at real life prices, so now every time you commit a crime in GTA we will notify the authorities of your actions.
Took a two week break from WoW in 2008. Realized I was addicted to digital drugs, wasn’t having fun anymore and quit. Never missed it. Never touched another MMO.
I'm sitting at 1am hearing Jules complain about the lack of sun while I'm sweating through my shirt. God that must be nice. It's been 100+ degrees and humid the last week
How about 10 silliest-strangest side quests? I thought of it whilst playing "Rise of the Robin", because it has some doozies....One has you searching for flowers for the very old Botanical Professor to give to the very young slightly insane Geisha who is a little too obsessed with cats, and another has you searching for the food source of some enormous crabs that some random villager can't stop eating...I can't make this stuff up.
I'd love to see a video on the video games with the most famous actors/voice actors. One game comes to mind which is Star Trek Online. I wonder what other games are out there
10 games held back by a multi-platform release. Number one on the list is Fallout New Vegas, where the PS3 made Obsidian have to cut up the Vegas strip and lower the amount of npcs walking around.
We'd need some rules. Because FF7's Vincent has a weapon called Death Penalty. It gaines its power based on how many enemies have been killed. Since there is an infinite number of enemies, it is literally infinite on how much power it can have. Whereas there are other weapons that destroy the world! But it is a good idea! Love it, support it!
@@ZackeryGee I guess it'd have to be how powerful it is within its own gameplay world. FFVII has some crazy attacks attacks but they often happen in cutscenes and only do damage to enemies in battle that often survive those attacks. Something like Doom's BFG could work though
My suggestion is video games that SAY they have a single-player campaign, but sometime later, tell you that you have to go multiplayer co-op in order to beat the current level. For example, Metroid Prime Federation Force and Legend of Zelda Triforce Heroes
Video Idea: Games that don't fit the genre they are put in Warframe is a lot more than a free to play looter shooter Death Stranding is a lot more than a walking simulator
What I absolutely love in the Forza discussion is that Project Gotham Racing died off so quickly that it didn't even warrant a mention. I held the global track record on one track for a short time on PGR4 and now it seems to have vanished from history.
A fighting game I miss is Killer Instinct. I only played the SNES version and I know it had a few sequels, but I feel like at least in terms of character designs, it had memorable ones. And the stories weren't half bad, either. A cross-play KI game would be amazing. I also miss the way "Ultras" were announced in the SNES version, with it fading to a dramatic echo. Didn't much care for the shriek the announcer did in the XBox version when a sibling visited and showed off the game, lol. I don't think the overall story would rival Tekken's (I really, reall6 love Tekken's story and main characters, but if done right, it could give the Tekken devs that challenge they're seeking.
Remember my dad could never afford to get me WOW , so I just kept making new free trials lmao. I wanted it so bad . “I’m Mr. T and I’m a Nightelf Mohawk”
The bit about the Sun hit me deep Jules. Germany has been no better. Luckily we're on a hot streak (literally) currently. Two consecutive days and counting! 🙌🏿
Story of Seasons is still around and in active development. We're currently waiting for two games in development, which will hopefully learn the right lessons from Stardew Valley.
One of the few MMOs that has stayed strong is the anti WoW...Guild Wars 1 +2 Forza also had the luck of Criterion being pulled from racing games and thus placed in obscurity.
Always, Jules, thank you so much for your positive words in the outro. And Psy, great editing during the Stardew Valley imperial march. :D And your self inserts were absolutely lovely.
Suggestion! Was going to make something about how hot it has been in Belgium, and it gave me an idea! How about a list of game where the weather can kill the player?
Suggestion: 8 DLC that received complaints for ridiculous reasons Inspired by Eldin Ring’s DLC getting complaints about it being too difficult with the other half of the fan base going “Well, duh.”
It's entirely possibly Marvel Rivals could kill Overwatch. It's got characters and lore millions of people are already invested in, destructible environments, team-up abilities, and will also be Free-to-Play. If they don't over bloat it with terrible progression and monetization and work to keep gameplay fresh and functional over time, it could absolutely dominate the Hero Shooter genre. The closed alpha was already insanely popular.
Most of the joy of a racing game is collecting cars. If it took the same amount to unlock terrible cars like Jules was talking about as a Bugatti, that would 100% ruin the game.
How about games that had music even more iconic than the game they came from? Metal Gear Rising is a great one, with Armstrong's boss music being well known even by people that never touched the game.
The main reason the PUBg lawsuit was dropped was probably because Papa Tencent, who owns a large majority of them both, told the kids to stop fighting.
How about games that you should only play blind? Or games where spoilers ruin the game. For example shadow of the colosseus, which has a far greater impact on you if you don't know the ending.
This is more of a question for Psy rather than a comment, but where did you get that top from? It looks really nice on you and something I think my daughter would look nice in as well.
Even though SWTOR did not kill WoW, it is definitely a better game in terms of story, which is, for me, far more important. All characters that need voiceover have it, not just one line and a block of text to read either and on top of that with cinematic dialogues even for small quests. That by itself defeats any other MMO I have ever experienced. The delivery of the story is by far the best in MMOs, and WoW may or may not have better lore, but due to their delivery, I could care less about it in comparison.
10 video game side quests that made the player say “Why isn't this the main story?”

@coletrainhetrick Totally agree. Think it was something about space rocks and portals.
So you're saying the Sebastian story fron Hogwarts Legacy should top the list lol
@@Handsome_Black was a really good character

I love Jules' pep talk at the end of every video.
And it should happen with every video.
