wonderful, gorgeous, fantastic, amaizing version from a eternity song. May our grandchilds and all future generation have a lot of fun to listen this song!
Norah performed this for a Steve Jobs memorial. There is a video of it here on youtube. She is a busy girl and I hope someday there is a collection of the various covers that she performs here and there. Meanwhile I consider it a gift to be able to hear them here on youtube... my life is much the better for it.
May God bless and keep you always May your wishes all come true May you always do for others And let others do for you May you build a ladder to the stars And climb on every rung May you stay Forever young Forever young, forever young May you stay Forever young May you grow up to be righteous May you grow up to be true May you always know the truth And see the lights surrounding you May you always be courageous Stand upright and be strong May you stay Forever young Forever young, forever young May you stay Forever young May your hands always be busy May your feet always be swift May you have a strong foundation When the winds of changes shift May your heart always be joyful And may your song always be sung May you stay Forever young Forever young, forever young May you stay Forever young May you stay Forever young
This doesn’t just make my eyes leak. It opens the floodgates. I leave this playing on repeat in the car when I’m visiting friends graves at cemeteries.
This song is as archetypal to the Human Spirit as Blowing In The Wind. It was waiting for children and all who remain innocent through life to be written since who knows how many centuries.
Does anybody know how to get this particular recording? I was unable to find the studio version on iTunes in the Nora Jones catalog. My wife wants to use it for her mother/son dance at an impending wedding.
The tribute title for our sons pictures video of him up until he turned twenty year's pus six-months five days and three hours. Killed by a drunk, or medicated tugboat captain who thru his incompetence or his high, crushed him four times in the Algeries locks and left him there for twenty minutes not responding to his radios when every dock person was screaming at him thru radios. He is Forever Young! God help his killer!
I really like Norah Jones.... but her version of this song is like she "phoned it in" compared to Audra Mae's version, both of them, which I just listened to.
You are wrong. Not only is Norah’s version superior, it is a live recoding from Steve Jobs Memorial service. It just has the intro and clapping edited out.
One of the most beautiful songs ever...
This was Our Mother and Son dance at Grey's wedding. I managed to keep from crying, he didn't. Such a fine loving son. I am blessed.

I have opined on another site that I find to be the best live vocal performance I have ever heard.

May God bless and keep you always
May your wishes all come true
May you always do for others
And let others do for you
May you build a ladder to the stars
And climb on every rung
May you stay
Forever young
Forever young, forever young
May you stay
Forever young
May you grow up to be righteous
May you grow up to be true
May you always know the truth
And see the lights surrounding you
May you always be courageous
Stand upright and be strong
May you stay
Forever young
Forever young, forever young
May you stay
Forever young
May your hands always be busy
May your feet always be swift
May you have a strong foundation
When the winds of changes shift
May your heart always be joyful
And may your song always be sung
May you stay
Forever young
Forever young, forever young
May you stay
Forever young
May you stay
Forever young

Dawn would love this song Norah was her favorite 🙏🏼
I couldn't find it mention anywhere that this song was written by Bob Dylan originally as a lullaby for his young children.
May you have a strong foundation when the wind of changes shift

The words are amazing the best of Job Dylan lyrics
Divine
My wish for my two Taurus children who recently celebrated birthdays....Shannon & Mike. Love you forever
The WORDS are not clear for me but music is beautiful & so is the 'feeling'.
Am hearing impaired to some extent, maybe that is the reason.
Really want this recording.
Por siempre joven, mi angelito divino
One of the songs in the playlist for my funeral
although I think the Pretenders version is better, this is pretty good also. Great song.

Exactly my thoughts, Paul. Thanks for saying this....

Caitlin O'Connor it was a live performance for Steve Jobs. I don't think it's on iTunes
