    I vlog outdoors mostly, so I can't do this much EQ because the audio isn't clean enough. But I definitely do a high-pass filter at 100-120hz to get rid of traffic rumble and a 3-4dB wide q boost at 1.5khz to increase vocal presence a little. Along with compression to level my voice. Thanks for the video!

    mannnn i can not express how much I appreciate your work. I have only seen a few of your videos, but the work you put in them, and how thurough you are in your tutorials (like problem solving the eq before anyone freaked out @ 6:32) is so so soooooo appreciated. I am really enjoying getting better at editing, and want to hone my skills as much as possible, so I have a question. these audio balancing techniques, how do they (in your opinion) work with gameplay content. I record all my audio at once... It probably isnt smart, and I should look into splitting the audio up between my mic audio and my game sound fx but that gets really complicated when you use the vods from streaming for youtube content. Without getting too far into the bushes, I guess what I am asking is do I NEEEED to split up my audio, or if i get the audio as balanced as possible before it stream will I be fine?
    P.S. I also don't want to split up my audio because the ammount of times I have heard, seen, and experienced corrupt files... The more moving parts, the more goes wrong ya know?
    Thank you in advance!
    -Swank :)

    jason… appreciate ur content. you’re an educational asset to me.
    is there a workflow (i.e. order of operations) for fairlight? for example, like resolve’s “image processing order of operations" for color?
    thx again,

    • @JasonYadlovski
      @JasonYadlovski  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks! Glad you find my stuff helpful! Yes, here's the order of operations for dialogue audio, here's what I like to do and recommend: Set proper levels first, next work with EQ, then dynamics - Compression, etc., then effects such as a multi band compressor, de-esser, etc. Also make sure you change the order in the mixer to be EQ, DY, FX. Once your dialogue is set, then I add music and sfx and start to mix it all together.

    • @JasonYadlovski
      @JasonYadlovski  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! I'll see about making a multicam audio workflow video. I've actually got to make an updated multicam video in general. You do have the option to switch audio tracks with your multcam angle cuts or you can keep it on a single audio track while making video only angle cuts/changes. I do talk about that in my old multcam video.

    • @MisaelRodriguez
      @MisaelRodriguez ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JasonYadlovski Yep, I remember that. I think where I have the issue is when Resolve turns a track into Adaptive (not sure what that means) and when I go to export for an audio person to cleanup...I have to duplicate the audio track and change the 'cam' manually.

    Jason, very informative video. Do you have a solution for wind noise? Got a clip that has wind noise in it (my mistake) and I would have to drive over 2 hours to redo it. Is it possible to clean up the wind?

    • @JasonYadlovski

      Hi! For wind noise, I'd try using Voice Isolation if you have the Studio version of Resolve or I'd use the Waves Clarity VX plugin. Either should do a good job at removing wind noise.

    • @JasonYadlovski

  • @VAsHachiRoku
    @VAsHachiRoku 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Love the easy tutorials, but any chance can expand to more “real” world editing scenarios? Example I’ve read that if you have background music to make the dialogue stand out should change some of the bands while talking over music. Be great to see how dialog impacts other types of audio tracks and how they both need to be adjusted and sweetened together!

    Happy Belated Birthday! Can you do a video on Da Vinci Resolve Bluetooth Headphone Connectivity Issues? If you could you would be a LEGEND. I have problems with it all the time, one of the many being I can't connect my headphones to my computer after resolve is open. I then have to close it and re-open it. I also sometimes have to open and close resolve 3 times just to get the audio to play. Yes, I am using my setting preferences and selecting the correct audio output device :)! Thanks!

    • @JasonYadlovski
      @JasonYadlovski  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! The best bet for Bluetooth or wired headphones is to make sure that you set the headphones as the output device before opening Resolve. Then once you open Resolve, you can double check the Preferences to make sure the device you want is selected as the output device. Many times if you try to do it after Resolve is open, it doesn't work out well. This applies for BT or regular headphones/speakers.

    • @JasonYadlovski
      @JasonYadlovski  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You’re welcome! So I’d try both, add a high pass filter and bring it up in frequencies to see if it takes out the nasal sound. Then I’d grab an EQ point and sweep in the 600 to 2K range, find the bad frequency and then cut it.

(At least in my mind) one guy is selling traning to each tab (audio, edit tabe , etc.) For $350 a peace. And to me that's just him robbing people or he is just looking for big companies. But if you can make one for the public average Joe I think you will have something going for you. People are looking into this and want to know how to use it. Just nobody can afford $350 a tab when there is like 6 tabs on this program. ($50 or even $100 on some feels alttle more reasonable) maybe I don't understand this field but that's how I feel. Maybe you can give me a better inside on why it would need to be that much then? But, anyways sorry for my book here haha I just feel like you are a grate teacher and if you can start making traning videos of all the programs withing this editor and you sell them to the public in a real price range you will do good!
