I think the supercharge balances the game because otherwise it’s super hard to kill heroes. If you’re goated, like @star bazaar, you now how to handle the supercharge and it’s just another factor to learn to deal with in game
I've found in huge scale modes. There's a time to parry, swing spam, or just block. Cus I find myself tryna parry while I'm getting shot and that counts as a hit so it breaks your block and allows the swing spammers some hits

I hadn't played it in a long time myself. Prequel era is underrated just because it feels like the actual clone wars
