Definitely helped clarify the rules after reading the rulebook. The objective tiles seem to have a push your luck element or if you have completed a higher value one you'll need to remove the one(s) on top to reveal it. 👍
Rodney, my man... you're awesome and I love your explanations. All your videos are easy to follow, and divided in sections. Everything is awesomely explained, love the videos.
The binder snapping closed made me flinch and gave me flashbacks to pinching the fleshy webbing between my thumb and index finger in those metal rings. Multiple times. I'm clumsy. I get injured a lot.
I don't mention it in the video, but you could certainly play with the binders unsnapped the whole time. The holes in the cards are big enough that moving them from one side to the other wouldn't be too bad at all.
another excellent teach sir! This was a way deeper game than I initially thought it would be. Your rules explanation helped us get our first game in. We're already looking forward to our second play now that we understand it better. Thank you!
I am really intrigued by this game. I like how it uses the tableau system in a really different way. I also think the art style is cool. You always do an awesome job, Rodney. :) Your plaid shirts do a great job too. ;)
I like watching your videos. Thank you very much for your work. In my German rulebook the 'turn pages action' says you only get the benefit of the pages that were turned. Not every 3 bonuses if you turned less pages. I downloaded an English rulebook, where it says (like you said) you get all 3 bonuses. Maybe wrong translation or other versions of the rulebook. (mine's v1.4 😅) Also to mention in this 'turning pages action' it's possible to close a book by this to gain all bonuses.
Reading from left to right?... *Looks at bookshelf packed with mangas* I...don't understand how that would work... Seriously though, this looks pretty fun and pretty easy to learn and understand. Looking forward to trying this out sometime with my mother, the former school librarian and see what she thinks.
Do you flip the page when you use the chronicle? Or you flip it only at the end of the round? And If I close my book and take the reward on every pages, can I skip a reward if I dont want to lose point for exemple? Thanks again for your good explanation! ☺️

Very glad you found this useful!

Appreciate your kindness Carlos!
Really clear explanation as always. Many thanks.
Very kind of you to say!

Bought this game on a whim being an avid reader and was soooo happy to see you had a video for it Rodney! Fantastic explanation as always - thank you.
Thank you kindly Angeline, have a great time playing!

Awesome explanation as always Rodney!

Great video! Those components looks so unique!

First game I've played with mini-binders :)
This is an extreme helpful video, thanks Rodney
You're very welcome - have fun playing!
Realy nice game and I am happy about it too much, that I need to buy it immediately after a release :D Thanks for a video :)
Appreciate you checking it out!
Playing this tomorrow, thanks for the explanation!
I hope you have a great time playing!
Saw this at my local game shop, it looked so cool and I'm a bookworm, thanks for the explanation, now to save up!
Glad you enjoyed what you saw!
Intriguing. Great job explaining.
Thank you kindly Ben!

Yeah, rule book translations can introduce errors, unfortunately!
Thank you, Rodney!
You're very welcome!
16:33 that’s not quite correct. The two starting pages I and II can be in between them, they don’t count cause they don’t have symbols on them.
The yellow objective tiles seem like they would be exceptionally difficult to time. Is there a way to swap pages in your books?
I don't recall off the top of my head (I don't think so?)

I hope you both get a chance to play it together :)
How many pages are there in the chronicle? This is the number of turns each player gets?
I think it's 15 pages.
Do you flip the page when you use the chronicle? Or you flip it only at the end of the round?
And If I close my book and take the reward on every pages, can I skip a reward if I dont want to lose point for exemple? Thanks again for your good explanation! ☺️
The Chronicle only flips at the end of the round. Benefits are optional, so you can skip any you don't want to claim. Hope that helps!
How can you always catch the box? :)
I do my best!
Can you please do Cosmic Encounters ? Or does this video exist for you already ? Have watched a few videos but I feel like you could do the best job.
Thanks for the interest! I talk a bit about that here: th-cam.com/video/EdtDuvIUa6A/w-d-xo.html&t=342
Cool concept and board etc. Almost would rather they have made the pages all plastic, over time those gonna wear on the rings
Possibly, but the holes seem big enough on the pages that I'm optimistic they will hold up pretty well.
Rodney, when are you going to do a How To Play on one of those COIN games? You keep teasing us.
