Hey Brother! I have been thinking about getting involved with the cricket again. I left playing cricket when I got into 12th grade back home in Pakistan its been 7-8 years now. Do you think there's opportunity for some who wants to start now and maybe make a career out of it in Australia? Moreover do you get a full contact or how does it work in the beginning?
@SailorYousaf Assalam u Alaikum Yousaf, would you like to resume your career as a player or are you thinking about taking up umpiring? Either way, every state in Australia has their own state cricket association like Cricket Tasmania or Cricket NSW. In order to be considered for any state or national opportunities, you need to perform in the league cricket that falls under that state cricket association. For instance, I live in Hobart (Tasmania) and as an umpire have been officiating in the CTPL (Cricket Tasmania's Premier League) to be considered for any state or national-level umpiring opportunities. You only get a contract when you get to a certain higher level and are included in any supplementary or national panels. Hope I have provided with you the answer you were looking for but if there are any other questions then simply drop me a comment.
