Thanks! After telling myself I don't need the Strega to complete the holy Make Noise trinity, you post this gorgeous composition and my G.A.S. is kicking in.
@@jon_gee I've been using the 0-Coast a lot as my go-to semi-modular synth for the last few years, but I'm seriously GAS'ing for the Strega and 0-Ctrl now.
To the edge of sound as vibrations hold, Quivering into the depths of the peace abyss, As seas ebb and flow to moon’s delight, Life stands still in this moment. Crickets and birds sing out in joy, The sun is closer now, earth’s surface warmed, As sky is bright and grasses green, Spring’s here, no longer just a dream. And lovers’ patience lingers on, Like quivers, yearnings, in this song, As peace and love fill places deep, In strega’s mysteries I sleep.
This was beautiful! I am eagerly awaiting for my Strega to ship so I can complete my trio. This was probably the best demo I have seen with the Strega yet, it is definitely much more musical than other demos I have seen. Great work!
Yessss!! I wanted to work the harmonics ... after experimenting I found the major 3rd to be amazing (Strega on the 3rd). The touch controls are sooooooo beautiful to work with.
this sounds really really good!!! exactly the sort of ambient exploration i'm hoping to find when my strega arrives. is it just the 3 or any off-screen devices? patch notes?
Thank you…Interesting! I’d say the most important things to consider: the rich tones and limitations of analog, or the digital path. If you have a computer, use it to go to the digital realm. I’m sure there are many excellent VSTs that would sound just as good or better than the hydrasynth. Like cherry audio, native instruments, reason, Dune 3. The analog sound and controlling everything purely through voltage is what this piece is all about. It’s where I find peace. And nothing could ever imitate it.
Great stuff! Any chance of more detailed patch notes? I'm a eurorack beginner and have this trio; this is exactly the kind of ambient music I was hoping to get better at patching.
Absolutely. It’s all about experimenting and finding that sweet spot. I start by tuning the synths. This patch has the pitch CV from 0-ctrl split, controlling both the V/Oct on Strega and 0-coast. From there it can go many directions...for this I have touch plate pressure CV modulating Strega’s Tone and 0-coast’s Multiply circuit. Slope is looping with cv going to Strega’s filter +\-
Maybe the nicest performance I've heard with this trio.

the most "ambientalist" use of the strega i seen... beautiful!!!

Nice work. Serious reverb on the back end !

Thank you💖💖 This is my first patch with Strega. I had just finished reading ‘Care of the Soul’ by Thomas Moore. Love is Numinous.
@@jon_gee So many books, so little time………. 📚
wow, this is an absolutely gorgeous piece..just got my strega a week ago, and now want the whole setup, 0-coast 0-ctrl
Thanks Gary! I have 40-50 tunes here featuring the make noise trio. This was my first piece.

@@jon_gee it was definitely inspiring! Great work with that patch. You’ve got me all amped up for mine to arrive haha

@@GlennArango thanks man!!! The synths tuned to a major third and most of the modulation comes from the touch plates.
Outstanding work!
Just lovely. Thank you.

thx!!🙏🏻 strymon big sky baby.
Great sounds .Did you use any effects after Strega?
Reverb on the bus but mostly Strega!
can you share some of your patches?
Yes! Im currently working on a Strega review video that will cover patches. Thank you for the comment!
Drone the Night away :-) Lovely !! What is that angled stand for the 0-Coast?
🙏🏻👽 its a great lil stand by 3D Waves
