Thank you! Yes, I designed the entire property, everything from the pool, material selections, layout, planting, night lighting, etc. I asked homeowners for color preferences but other than that I select all the plants making sure they are right for the space and look great 😊

What I discovered this season is ‘Consolida Regalis’ which is native here in Sweden but really rare. It’s an annual with dill like leaves an hundreds of buds and small kobold blue flowers looking like butterflies especially when wind blows through it. It gets about 2 feet high and planting them in groups is spectacular. They selfseed so even if it’s an annual, they will return. I winter sow them in jugs and every seed germinated.

Your projects show so much careful thought and result in such interesting plant combinations--I love it. I study closely everything you show us in these garden tour videos. (I've gone back several times to the country club project.) It comes as a revelation to me that even a professional has to edit and replace. We're reminded over and over again that Mother Nature has the last say.
It's hard to find words for this masterpiece. You have planned such an amazing landscape. It would seem to take a year to plant this. Love the home colors, love that it's formal but informal. Gardens looks so established. You said you are not done yet? Wow, what more could be added, :) Congrats!

I myself love Incredible hydrangeas and have a hedge of them in a place where everything is eaten by deer. They don’t ever touch them. They nibble on the Annabelle hydrangeas and other smaller version of it. Hopefully this was one time event for you where they were tasting the plants and it won’t happen again!!!❤

One suggestion for filming: along with the close up shots of individual plants, please include more shots of entire beds or large sections of beds. I usually feel when I watch your videos that I'm wanting you to step back and show the entirety of a bed or an area. Beautiful garden and darn those deer. I have rabbits and can’t seem to figure them out. They will desiccate my heuchera one year and next year not, eat my echinacea and not the one next to it. Gardening is a challenge especially when you have cute critters. Oh well at least I don’t have deer. 💚🇨🇦

Fantastic you’ve used so many plants I have planted as well because of all the reasons you mentioned but especially native and the grass texture and providing Monarch host milkweed too. White calamintha is one year old for me and i love it too. Try mountain mint too as a pollinator magnet!!

I rarely comment on any video but THIS has to be one of my favorites! Literally was NOT long enough in my opinion. I absolutely love your style and ideas, you have really emphasized the importance and really bring out the beauty in natives, I am going on a mission to incorporate many many more inspired by your ideas! More of these updates please! I would love to see more smaller gardens for urban areas, I’m suburban but feel urban in my location 😁

I'm so pleased to see the 'Blue Hyssop.' I have to dig out some quackgrass before I plant my 3 plants. Now I know it's true they do need room to grow.
Those "L" lights are so elegant.
I think I have to resort to raised structures for gardening under my neighbors' maple tree. The tree roots are so agressive! The other day, I planned to pull a "few" weeds so I could plant 1 lemon coral sedum next to my driveway garden (it's dedicated to my late sister, Marcia). At least an hour and a half later! I was able to get the plant planted and I had a mound of fibrous roots I dug out of the 3x3' space.
Oh, how envious I am over your clients' 'Bloomstruck' hydrangeas. I'm on my second attempt to grow 3 in a shadier part of my yard. I give up. Fortunately, the garden center where I bought this second group of shrubs, said they will honor the warranty. I will replace them with 'Ruby' Incrediball shrubs. My soil is just so awful. I think each hole, I dumped in an entire bag of compost with peat moss. I suppose if I'd been better about watering this year they'd have a fighting chance.

I just loved watching this gorgeous garden tour and most importantly your enjoyment of what you have created..so so beautiful, you are a star..it is stunning!! You should have your Contractors note down for you the replacement plants from your plant list so you know..just a suggestion. Love your work soooo much❤
The only thing that has finally after about five years of weekly deer retardant...has come down to once per week spraying with fish emulsion four teaspoons per gallon... The yard smells every Friday, but the next day the air is pretty clear and the deer have left them alone

I’d be surprised if the deer don’t discover those Oakleaf hydrangeas. They love mine! Interestingly, they don’t usually touch my Nikko Blue, Aha Tuff Stuff, or Blushing Brides. 🤞🏻
There is a whole hedge of oakleafs around the corner and none of them touched. Deer are funny that way 🙈

Yulia this project looks beautiful! Thank you for sharing it! May I ask you, what do i do about aphid infestation on swamp milkweed? Monarchs have laid eggs on them but they are loaded with aphids. Can't thank you enough for the tips and sharing your knowledge and wonderful taste. You are empowering many gardeners. It is amazing!
